  7. I used to like Moore so much, but my opinion of him has plummetted after the Planet of the Humans debacle. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt, that he had misunderstood, but then he doubled down on the BS even after it was pointed out. For me that's unforgivable.

  26. When the US was being settled there was not the certainty over spelling there is now, it was still being formalised. They way they say and spell things is often closer to how it was said and spelt 300 hundred years ago. It was often the English that changed things.

[Yes, that's where she qualified.] However, I'm not sure Seth's writers understand how the free market works... Knives-Are-Us is not a thing not because it was banned, but because the idea itself wouldn't work. That's kinda the point of the free market. So the analogy collapses somewhat. And in fact makes the point, cancel-culture is a nonsense. Let them speak, [they just don't have the right for their ideas to be amplified - and yeah, we're looking at you Facebook]. And we need to always go after them, which includes mockery, which is what Seth and his team do so well, and why I love this show...

  46. One of the things I really appreciate about this show is their recognition that the centrist (ie. corporate) Dems are completely different people than the Progressive/social democrats. They are so often conflated under the 'liberal' banner. The two groups couldn't be more different. Honestly, the centrists, like Pelosi and Biden, hate the progressives more than the Repubs. This is why a two party system is so bad.
