That's fine. I mean, technically, it's not, but that's not YOUR fault. It's not like they focus on it in history class as they should. If you are black or have black friends (close friends who can open up about their struggle, not just some person you hang out with now and then), then you'd know about it. Even if you don't fully understand its relevance.
I'm white (technically Middle Eastern, but I'm white presenting). My black friends had told me about Juneteenth, and I understood that it was important to them. But not being black myself, the real significance of it is hard to truly grasp. I mean, I support BLM and rights and equality for all, always have. But while I can sympathize with the strife black people (and other minorities) face, not having directly suffered the same myself means I can't ever truly understand what they feel. But I know injustice when I see it and will stand against it.
