It's not "I want to work", it's "I want to work a nice safe cushy job while everyone else is dying". There's a big difference.
Like he said, if you really want to work, then get an essential job placement. Hospitals around me are hiring anyone who's willing to work. I know people who have gotten jobs at the local hospital pushing beds, emptying garbage, cleaning floors. Stores and restaurants around my area have got tons of new workers. The GOOD place have brought back the people who were working for them before, but many (mostly the big chains and such) are hiring anyone who's willing to work because they need people to be on the front lines risking their lives.
My wife works for PetSmart (which was only doing online orders until recently). She was let go (along with the rest of the store staff) and just brought back onto the payroll now to start reopening the stores. Some people who were working aren't willing to be frontline workers, and that's their choice. It's perfectly understandable not to want to risk your life. Especially as the stores are being flooded with idiots who are gathering there for the sake of "doing something", most never wearing a mask. I'm terrified that she's going to get sick from one of these idiots who have the virus and doesn't know it yet. People going to stores just to hang out.
But there is work out there. Yes, a massive amount of people have lost their jobs, and many won't be getting them back. But at the same time there IS work out there to be had. It's simply work that most of these anti-lockdown idiots don't want to do themselves.
