  8.  @rrobjchilds  you fail to understand how we moved from having candidates like FDR and JFK as choices in the general election to having only a fascist and a neoliberal. That is the point. Voting for the lesser of two evils only rewards the system which gave you those two evil choices and signals your consent to those choices. The only alternative at the moment is to take that power away from the system by voting 3rd party. Because only then will the two parties realize they have to return to being for what the voters want. So I won't accept your premise that I have to choose between two systems which are against my personal best Interests i will vote green party. Because they have a platform which is in my best Interest and if the half of all Americans who are so pissed at the lessor of two evils choice that they stayed home get the message and only half of them vote green we will have the numbers for a very tight 3 way race. If more than half of all citizens who choose not to vote choose to vote green party we will win in a landslide. So sorry but with the current level of people who don't support either the DNC neoliberalism or GOP fascist there is a 3rd option you are not considering.

It looks to me like a very large percentage of the population are not choosing to fall in line or stay home at this point in history. So you might want to rethink if one of the two evil choices will win over the 3rd option after all. It isn't a forgone conclusion at this point expecally as the neoliberal is only the presumptive nominee. Hell if all the protesters and non willing to compromise voters vote for Bernie Sanders in the remaining primaries Biden could end up losing the nomination. So sorry but you seem to believe your self fulfilling proficiency and not be willing to admit that is all it is.

Also every other developed country has a single payer healthcare system which costs less and has better outcomes.

  25.  @clairpahlavi  I haven't ever seen a deer on a mountain that is being blasted which is sort of the point pristine wilderness is distorted stip mining It wasn't sold rock until after they knocked over the trees and scrapped off all the top soil. I have seen the before and after of strip mining it doesn't improve the wildlife or wilderness

So sure RCV requires more than once election cycle but it can't work any worse than the alternative which has failed for the last half century

  29. Under Bernie Sanders M4A private insurance would be allowed to cover anything that Medicare doesn't cover. It is how our current system works here in the USA. If you are on Medicare today you can carry supplemental insurance as well to cover anything not covered by Medicare.

  30.  @greenith  no yang is trying to trick Americans into accepting a public option added to the ACA by calling it Medicare choice. But it is not at all the same thing. Yang isn't saying that he will provide a progressive tax structure to pay for his healthcare plan. He isn't saying it will expand the risk pool to 100% of the population lowering cost. What he is saying is the private sector will be allowed to continue to cherry pick the healthy people to profit off and force the sickest people to be covered by the government. Today that is the case with Medicare and Medicaid covering the highest risk members of our society. This allows the insurance companies to socialize the cost while privatizing the profits. All yang and the other corpate Democrats are offering is for you to be able to buy into the high risk pool if you don't like the private market. But that will by definition faul because you are forced to buy into the government insurance which is already covering the sickest people so it has the highest costs. The corporatist love this because they can trick people into thinking the government plan is expensive because of the argument that government never does thing right. But the reality is they are the insurers of last resort. The only way single payer works is to cover the entire society as has been proven the world over. Yang and anyone else defending the current system is just trying to protect corpate profits.

  31.  @greenith  when it comes to Healthcare the answer is simple Bernie Sanders has done his homework and the system is proven in Canada Scandinavia France Germany I could go on but every other developed nation has some version of single payer and they pay half what we pay per capita. You can play wack a mole as to if the drug companies or the hospital are responsible for the price gouging but the bottom line is you can not allow a profit motive when people will die without the service. Other countries have solved this problem have the government pay for and regulate the healthcare sector. If you don't understand how the risk pool factors into mixing public and private insurance you need to understand how insurance companies work to make a profit.

  49.  @francishooper9548  actually I was thinking of Corry Bush who isn't in Congress yet but won a primary in a democratic district so she will be in Congress come 2021 We also have a refugee who came to the country at the age of 8 I think. So I would argue that times are changing and with the help of groups like JD we can get more avg Americans in government.
