@oddvardmyrnes9040 that is a chicken and egg question. My answer is when you make a way for more parties there will be more parties. Build it and they will come.

She apparently couldn't be bothered to make one tweet for the Medicare for All marches that have been scheduled for months. So no it is more like she was running from her signature issue that got her elected. How hard would it have been for her to simply send a message of support for the March for Medicare For All?
2
@jmjfanss as apposed to what the GOP who's former president wanted to terminate the constitution after claiming to be the law and order party? You are fighting the wrong problem it you thing it is a red team blue team problem.
2
@jmjfanss you lost any credibility you might have had when you reset to swearing at people and telling them to shut up.
2
@jmjfanss you sure do seem to be easily triggered when confronted with Trump's words.
2
@Supremelilbear yet more Americans are registered independent than either political party. They just need a good 3rd party candidate to rally behind
2
Terrorism is denial of service for people in the ICU by the insurance companies.
2
We need rank choice voting to challenge the establishment with more parties.
2
@tashalorm4313 same as any other primary they need to have a process to choose which candidates will be the nominee.
2
CNN 🤡 love all the air time they gave Marianne Williamson and Dean Phillips. Lol
2
The only reason Ukraine thinks they are able to keep fighting is the hundreds of billions the USA is pumping into their government. If you want them at the negotiating table the aid is the tool to do so
2
I would charge them 200% if they don't pay a penalty above the benefits paid out they will just run the numbers and figure out which costs them less. They need to see it is cheaper to pay the workers more and I don't think this will do it. That said it is a good start.
2
Funny because AOC just called out her fellow Democratic member in the Senate telling her good luck passing anything in a house with a 3 vote margin without her support for the reconciliation bill in the senate and here you are undermining AOC comment by saying she is powerless as only one vote. Clearly AOC understands that 3 votes is all it takes and there are what over 100 members of the "progressive" caucus she can in theory pick any 2 to vote with her to force her will in the house.
2
@RealLimerickman you don't seem to understand the history of the Democratic party. Before the Neoliberals took it over with Bill Clinton it was a left party. Bernie Sanders is just pulling the party back to it's FDR and JFK roots.
2
Makes me glad I have a garden and buy very little from there.
2
I bet you could 3D print 10 guns and they would all match the same shell casings. They would all be digitally identical to each other after all. Not like old school manufacturing with tooling makes and alignment issues.
2
NYC has about 1 murder per day so i wonder why it is this is the only one getting attention. It is almost like the media feels a CEO who put profits over the health of customers is more important in corporate media.
2
The answer to that question is that the democratic party has refused to support a primary debate.

@toptenguy1 you are missing a lot. In this situation the federal government is suppose to be a 3rd party arbitrator as the dispute is between private sector employers and employees. The law argues in certain cases the risk to the economy is so great that both parties need to listen to the government. But the unions across the country are also missing the fact that they have leverage over Congress united even with the low percentage of all American workers in a union they have the power to determine who wins elections across the country. They have the power to write ballet referendums and get them passed in about half the states. Which means they have the power to vote the 290 members of the house wbo forced them back to work out of office in 2024. They have the power to pass term limits in half the state unions and the working class at large has the power to get Ranked Choice Voting in more states like Maine. This is one thing that scares the crap out of both parties in the duopoly because they know the current first pass the post lesser of 2 evils system is the only way they can force labor to vote against their best interests out of fear. Ranked choice voting means labor can vote for a candidate who supports labor before voting against the worse evil out of fear. Which means a candidate who supports the unions can be their first choice and if the working class votes first for their own interests in the class warfare the wealthy will not be able to buy the election because they have the money but we have the numbers.

I voted for Marianne in the NH primary but I know the DNC wouldn't let her run she is left of Bernie and we all know how that went. So I am voting Jill Stein as the green party has ballot access. I would love to see West but 2 states won't win the election.
2
@LrlTriCat wow the courts convinced west of tax evasive already??? If not then you just opened yourself to a slander change.
2
@presence5426 which is why we can't listen to them complain about 3rd parties
2
Yang getting 15% of the youth vote is interesting. If yang chooses to drop out before the election a large percentage of then will switch to Bernie.
2
@Tijggie82 please you honestly think she was working do hard she couldn't find the time to post a tweet in support of marches for the signature policy that got her elected? Talk about a bad faith argument.
2
The people's party would be honored to have her fighting with us.
2
If it was a movie people wouldn't believe it. This is literally the wealthy elite pludocrats taking the politicians into an ornate underground bunker to plot how they take over the country.
2
Biden told us a while ago that foreign war is a jobs program.
2
Bernie Sanders Elizabeth Warren and ed Markey need to refuse to vote for any bill that doesn't have a $15 minimum wage. The American public overwhelming behind this policy they need to make it clear there are not 50 votes without it.
2
@vvactivist ask yourself why both parties in the 2 party monopoly are dead set againt rank choice voting
2
They don't understand the function of the democratic party in our oligarchy is to limit the spectrum to the gap between Trump and Dick Cheney. The democratic party leaders will take a loss to trump over a win with Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein.
2
@justinb2630 there is an exception to every rule but rank choice voting will make it 1 million times easier to defeat the establishment
2
Ofcourse they wouldn't push for RCV because that would increase democracy
2
The ACA gives Biden the authority to give Medicare for life to all the victims of the Bomb Train in Ohio
2
I am in NH and will be voting Green party because I refuse to vote for someone who will veto Medicare for All during a pandemic. 69% of all Americans want Medicare for All if Joe can't agree with the majority of Americans on healthcare during a pandemic I won't vote against my best interests.
2
@donHooligan don't get me wrong I registered Democratic party to vote for Bernie Sanders in the primary. But my point is the Parties are most worried about a new left party actually gaining support because it would end the lesser of 2 evils progressives have no where to go. I think the reason we saw Jill Stein voters shamed and not the right wing 3rd party voters is because the establishment isn't worried about a threat from the right they know that spectrum is covered. But the left is where the majority of non voters are. People who are disenchanted with both parties but consider themselves conservative register independent. All the independents I personally know and there are plenty typically vote Republican and where Republicans before they decided the Republican party was too currupt. Ofcourse that never makes since to me why give up your chance to vote in the primary? A few of them do pick a primary to vote in as NH allows that but most independents I know are one step removed from non voters they will vote in the general election if there is enough fearmongering to convince them they need to. The establishment isn't threatened by those voters they simply fight for them to vote for both parties. So my take is we need a real 3rd party. Honestly with so many Americans disenchanted with the 2 parties we have there is no reason that a 3rd party which actually reaches put to voters couldn't get more votes. I know they tell us it is a 2 party system but we can have more parties and the reality is the majority of Americans are not committed to either party only about 1 in 5 Americans I would guess are in the vote blue no matter who or trump Republicans. The other 60% of all Americans would actually consider a serious 3rd party candidate. The fear of the spoiler effect is only because the public hasn't been active enough in politics to pull in enough of the half of all Americans who don't vote. The current protests and comming great depression will change that. Anyway my take at the moment is vote for the progressives regardless of where they run. If the Democratic party refuses to support policy that the majority of the voters want they won't get my vote I will however vote so they know they lost the vote and the best way I can see to do that is to vote green party. That party actually has a platform I agree with. Maybe that is throwing away my vote but if Biden wants it all he has to do is support M4A. It is the lowest bar during a pandemic to fix the broken healthcare system. But I don't expect either party to cross that bar.
2
@donHooligan I hear you. I actually think Nick I don't remember his last name who was involved with the Bernie Sanders campaign has the best hope of a 3rd party in the people's party but they are not ready to put a candidate on the ballot in November. Unfortunately this election is lost for progressives. The best we can do is keep up the fight. Support the protesters and support the movement for rank choice voting. I think it is the only way we will actually get control back of our government from the wealthy. I actually think rank choice voting is easier to get then money out of politics too. It is why I am waiting to see who wins the Senate seat in Maine. I honestly think the progressive independents have a good chance of winning because you can vote your values and still vote for the lesser of 2 evils. I think this will prove more powerful then Wolf-pac.com fighting to get money out of politics.
2
Biden said when he was a senator that if there wasn't an Israel we would have to make one. He is a Zionist to the core.
2
Disrespect is what Nancy Pelosi showed to the sunrise movement not Bernie fighting for Medicare for All.
2
@rogerleonard5351 you mean the postal service which delivers mail to the entire country every single day? You might want to pick a different example. Or the government roads we all drive on or the government police forces and fire departments we all depend on. There are plenty of examples of things you use every single day that the government provides for you. Just because the GOP works for the wealthy and hates the working class getting these benefits doesn't mean the government never did anything good. Reagon was wrong
2
@sunnyskye213 lol so who makes the road we drive on then? Not the capitalist
2
@jumpinjohnnyruss someone didn't learn from 1992
2
Jordan thanks for breaking down the metrics I was guessing that CNN had rigged that but I didn't check how.
2
@060363 I prefer presidents who are not awaiting criminal trials

Expecally after lifting the ban on exporting ff. There is no national security involved with exporting oil for corpate profits.

Well they have to replace the billions of dollars worth of hardware they left behind...

@Tijggie82 she has what 1 million twitter followers? Bernie Sanders said we will get Medicare for All when 1 million Americans march for it. So AOC has the followers all she had to do was tweet in support of them and she could have pushed this March for Medicare for All to the point where Bernie Sanders said we need it to get Medicare for All. But if you don't believe her following and her ability to vote with the other "progressives" in the house to block any legislation is power you don't understand what political power is. Which is why people like you fold to Joe Manchin and Mitch McConnell
2
@Tijggie82 because she is the one who made her reputation on wanting us to bring the ruckus. The goal was to get canadate AOC who worked with activites back. The one who realized like Bernie Sanders that you need outside pressure from the working class protestors to pressure politicans not inside games with the last generation to give up the same fight once they became leadership. You can literally watch the video of Mamma Bear asking the then leadership to vote for Medicare for All in the 90s. We kmow from decades of experience that not pressuring lawmakers once they get to Washington and letting them play the inside game makes them into Nancy Pelosi. So you want us to sit back and watch AOC become her role model and lose the next 30 years. I say no we need to keep pushing because we know where the other road leads you just need to look at the current speaker of the house to know why AOC needs to be reminded what got here there and why she shouldn't lock the door on activists.
2
You won't win over people by telling them they are voting for someone worse by voting a certain way. Watch the video again and see how you move people to see the best candidate. Voter shaming is a tool the corporatist Democrats use when they can't win on issues. Progressives have to be better than this.
2
The electoral collage isn't the problem it is first past the post voting. If more states has ranked choice voting like Maine and Alaska there would be no spoiler effort. She is distracting you from the solution
