  2. @Heyoka why should I apologize he said 1 trillion a year and now it is 100 billion a year in his link that is way different. And I don't see where anyone is saying the USA is paying it all. Besides you know what we do pay $715 billion a year for our military. I would be happy to deduct $100 billion a year from our national defense budget to actually protect the planet for future generations.

As to welfare we have welfare for the wealthy in this country the federal reserve have pumped one trillion dollars a day of newly minted money into wallstreet becoming the buyer of last resort of junk bonds and stocks. The welfare in the USA is going to the Jeff Bezos and his fellow billionaires while you celebrate someone working being evicted because the only job he could find in a trumps pandemic ecominic crash doesn't pay a living wage.

It was a chance for Trump to say he gave you money without giving the Democrats a single other thing. Nancy counted with make the payment continue until February so the next administration can have a stable system to start with. The Republicans said nope we won't do that. Which means the entire game was to try and stabilize the economy until after they win reelection and if they don't win reelection let the economy go to hell for the next administration before they take office. So no simply fooling people into voting for Republicans in November wasn't a win. If you want to be pissed be pissed that the GOP wanted to keep the ability to crash the economy in the lame duck session. Because that is the trick they where making and you didn't see.

  16.  @winger468  I will make this very simple Bernie Sanders does not stop supplemental insurance. His plan allows you to buy supplemental insurance to cover anything that is not covered by Medicare the same as you have today. Since you are on Medicare all you will see as a change is expanded coverage by your Medicare. It will expand to include dental vision and precipitation glasses. So again with Bernie Sanders plan you get to keep your supplemental insurance. Is that clear?

  18. What Jimmy Doore doesn't understand about renewable energy and the stranded assets problem is that when ExxonMobil loses trillions in stranded assets it wasn't real money. ExxonMobil got access to crude oil largely on other people's land or public land and simply investing pennies to drill a well to gain access to the oil. But when you buy solar panels and place them on your roof you buy assets which pay you back over time by providing a resource you need. So renewable energy will drive the economy with real upfront investments of the individual taking wealth and power away from the wealthy elite.

  22.  scott richardson  I need government roads to sell you something because i don't think you are going to walk through the woods to get to my house and lug it home with you. I also need goverment backed currency to sell you something otherwise it is a barter exchange and you have to have something I value and need to trade for the thing I have. So yes you need governments. I also need police to enforce the rule of law to sell you something otherwise you will simply come in the middle of the night or with a gun and take it without giving me anything of value in return.

  23.  @cf6713  the top 20% get over 90% of the income in the USA so ofcourse they pay a higher percentage of the gross taxes. But if you look at the taxes per percentage of earning the wealthy actually pay a lower percentage of their earning in taxes.
