The veto proof vote that trump just gave them the middle finger and refused to follow. That alone is grounds for Congress to impeach trump for failure to fulfill his legal obligation as president.

My point was simply that Bernie did a great job with the Stop Bazos act and naming it after a billionaire who was guilty of the issue he wants to address is why it put a face to the name. Michael Dell is an example of the wealthy out of touch billionaires who need to have their vast wealth addressed. But I was simply saying I know income tax was the question and inheritance tax is a different way to address the same baseline problem. So get past your AOC issues and realize the comment she made forced the question to be asked at Davos nothing more ment by her mention here.

  10.  @oraz.  mostly it is white people complaining to other white people if someone who isn't white is around. Typically crap I have no tolerance for and let them know quickly that it is racist to not trust a stranger simply because they don't look like you. I have had people tell me certain farms hire illegal immigrants when I asked them how they know that they say just look. But if you actually take two second to talk to the help you find out they where raised in new England simply by their accent without asking. So clearly the people calling them illegal never actually talked to them just saw them on the property. Bigotry and racism is a real problem across both states. It is more suttle only because there are less people who are minorities around. But it is also little things. Go into a grocery store and you will see people avoid a checkout line if the cashier. Things like that.

He dropped out of the race early when he was starting to get some serious intrest behind him because of creditable death threats against his wife and kids.

By the way you still don't get that the auto insurance equivalent is refusal to cover you because you once in the past got a ticket for the rest of your life. The entire point of insurance is that you always carry it which is why we need Medicare for All. But to put it another way a child is born with a medical condition. So do you let the child die because no insurance company should have to take on the risk and his parents can't afford intensive care or the follow up care the child will need for the rest of his life?

Force the GOP and Manchin to own the failure not cowardly splitting the good things off so they die in the Senate while the evils pass. That is emailing bad things. As to your second question could Biden address the sick time with an ex order? The answer is yes he could he could rewrite the Obama order that gave sick leave to all federal contractors. All he has to do is close the loophole that Obama wrote into that order as an exemption for the railroad industry who are federal contractors.

The fact that the Democratic party doesn't even mention they have the ability to fix the sick leave for the railroad workers by altering an ex order written by the last Democratic administration when Biden was the VP tells you it isn't a priority. Just like not extending Medicare to cover everyone during a global pandemic tells you there will never be a crisis big enough for them to implement Medicare for All

  30.  @flash_flood_area  I like Nina as well. I just really like how Tulsi as a member or the military who served in Iraq said we need to end the regime change wars. After nearly 2 decades of fighting wars for oil in the middle east and the war mongering to start a new war in Venezuela I am very grateful we have one candidate running who has said straight up that we need to end these wars.

  31.  @flash_flood_area  I agree with you take on Nina I would love to see her on the next administration somewhere in the cabinet where she can focus on helping address issues like healthcare and income inequality for all Americans. I think the difference in our perspectives is I view the president and VP as a much broader roll where they need to be more general oversight of everything. In that respect I feel Tulsi focusing on ending the wars and the green new deal. Will allow her to better stand up to the military industrial complex and the oil industry both of which will band together to try and keep us in the oil wars and using ff which is killing our planet. Make no mistake these wars are the USA empire forcing other nations to give is access to their oil on our terms. But my point is you get the local focus on our citizens for healthcare and other issues with both Bernie and Nina. I feel Tulsi beings something both of them are missing with respect to standing up to the military because they have to respect her service in defense of this country in the Iraq war. She can sit in the room and when they try to say you as a civilian just don't understand the military she can call their BS and say wrong I was boots on the ground for two tours. I think that is critical for cutting back our over used and over built up military. We spend more on the military then we spend educating our children. Think about that for a moment we value our empires future more then our childrens education. By all means we need Nina in the administration but I think we need Tulsi as president or VP slightly more if we are to succeed in standing up to the military industrial complex and the oil industry to rebuild our economy around local renewable energy.

I could probably count the non whites in town and have fingers left to spare. There are some but not many. I appreciate what your saying there. The thing to me is VP is sort of a powerless job. Think back over all the people you know who where VP and then try to think up one thing they did in that job. Our current wallflower is really normal for that roll. In that respect I think a cabinet position would actually have more power for Nina Turner. I honestly don't know all the cabinet positions and which would be best. But I could for example see Nina doing more good as secretary of state then as VP. In that roll she would have more freedom to get out in front of the public and speak openly on issues. But honestly I would be open to her in any position.

But like I said get Medicare for All and everyone in the USA will pay less for our health insurance because the system costs less. So today you do pay for her health care so long as you have health insurance if you dont have health insurance you will pay far more when you get sick then you would ever pay on Medicare for All so either way your paying more. But dude do you feel the same way about the police and fire department? You do realize you pay for it when the fire department goes out on a call to put out your neighbors house fire even though it isn't your house right?

  45.  @flash_flood_area  invite green party members and not run as a Democrat in 2020. Wow that could totally backfire on the DNC. If Bernie runs as anything not Democratic Party we would have the birth of a new 3rd party and the death of the Democratic party. Just look at the numbers of young people who support Bernie and look at the number of people who already identify as independents. I wish Bernie would come out and say that he plans to run as a 3rd party in 2020 and use the next two years building that party.

  46.  @1-day-at-a-time  yes I know she is but the point is we need the progressive politicians to start to work together to form a strong force of action. Bernie, AOC and Ro Khanna have started to do that already I just wish the Bernie town halls would become the progressive town halls and we would have more involvement. Just think of the impact it would have if we had one of these every week or two with a different group of politicians sharing the work load. Not to mention the contrast with the GOP who are hiding from the voters and refusing to hold town hall meeting to talk to them. This is a great tool we need to make the most of.

I think the population is finally at a point where we are worried about the peoblem and willing to take time out of our busy lives to deal with it. Those two organizations give me some hope. Socal change starts slow then happens quickly.
