If Biden was smart he would force the vote on $15 and force Joe Manchin and the other Dino to vote against it then campaign in their state about how they don't want their voters to earn more money. That means minimum supply until demand looks like it will end them dump so you don't end up with stranded assets that have no value. Best to let the free market set the price of oil now as renewable energy is cheaper. But for the market to work we would have to end the subsidie to the ff industry which are trillions of dollars globally

After Waco not too many people wanted to actually die for the ideas crazy people had for decades. The right wing extremists that make up less than 20% of the population will do the same and vanish once the government actually enforces the law. You only think the trump supporters are half the country because half of all Americans don't vote. So less than 25% of all Americans actually voted Republican in 2016 and a majority of them voted against Hillary not for the idiot out of loyalty to his cult. The only crazy people you need to worry about are the ones who go to trump rallies and he is killing them off as fast as he can at those pandemic super spreader events. Once you see your loved ones die of trumps pandemic love will turn to hate. The cult will backfire on the GOP.

If I was Pete I would write to every one of the project managers and explain to them that projects where the senators voted to fund the legislation will be top priority on the list to be funded. Since their senator voted no they will have to wait and see if any funds are left over to fund their projects. Otherwise I would recommend they get their senator to vote yes on future funding legislation.

The department of education argued in court that aomeone couldn't declare bankruptcy on their college loans because they 13 year old child wasn't working to pay for them yet.

To put this in perspective the military spend $300 million per day to fight a war in one of the poorest countries on earth for the last 2 decades. This bill spends 300 million dollars to address climate change over a decade. That means it is funding solving the climate crisis 1/3650th of what we funded the war in Afghanistan. This isn't a win it is an insult to the youth say that the climate crisis is 1/3650 of the priority of a war in Afghanistan which the government couldn't even define the goal of.
