The total shortage of Russian troops became the main reason for the retreat from Kharkov, along with mobilization, designed to reduce this difference.

It's true. Here China can interfere with the West. For 30 years, the West planned to completely deprive Russia of its subjectivity, completely subjugate Russia and use it in its own interests, pumping resources out of Russia for free. The biggest threat to Russia today is Turkey, which is trying to revive the Ottoman Empire. This is a really serious threat that Russia must respond to. In general, you correctly noted that threats come from different sides, not only from the West, but also from other countries. Everyone wants to share this piece of the pie, because they believe that Russia has such large territories undeservedly. I am glad that in this case, China in one form or another competes with the West and it is unprofitable for them to enter into a conflict with Russia, since then the balance of power will change not in their favor.

China now has a very dangerous rival in the face of the United States, which wants to control the whole world. Today Russia is an important economic partner for China. Russia provides energy resources, Russia provides a partial containment of the military machine of NATO. If China tries to take over part of Russia, then China will lose an important ally and may turn it into an enemy. China, of course, can take over part of Russia. During the terrible occupation of Ukraine, the population grew by ten million, received a powerful industry, a beautiful and friendly country. Over 30 years of "independence" lost more than 10 million people, lost industry, got a destroyed country, a civil war associated with the division of society. And the more the greatness of the country seems, the more the people of Ukraine will suffer. So far, everything is heading towards a terrible scenario, where millions of Russians and Ukrainians will die in a fratricidal war. There will be a great country, but without people... The country will need only soldiers.

@arthas640 Yes, if Russia loses, Ukraine will be heavily invested in the military sphere in order to use it to contain Russia. Investing in Ukraine is the best way to create the maximum number of problems for Russia and to contain it at the cost of the lives of Ukrainians. Ideally, the West hopes that we will kill each other and then they will simply take away our resources. It is not for nothing that the West openly supported moods among Ukrainians calling for the killing of Russians.

They also expect to resolve the issue of the disputed territories of Russia and the creation of new states on the territory of Russia like Ichkeria and Tatarstan.
