How?
2
@garethjones433 Are you actually suggesting that leaving the EU has been a good thing? What benefits are you seeing here?
2
@burner9147 More like 2D Kerplunk.
2
They won't though, Trump will probably pump the economy with debt, everyone will think they're better off, the next president to take over will be left holding the bag.
2
In reality this is far from an easy solution. Easy to preach about it, way more difficult to put in place.
2
@saabsonsan exactly, so Murphy wants us to look weaker. Great plan there.
2
Truss was a car crash
2
@growler5678 I know what is actually going on thanks. Do you?
2
@growler5678 Do you know who's advising Labour on their economics policies at present for example, have you read that persons papers on Wage stagnation and productivity Growth, or maybe Liam Bryne's excellent book on the inequality of wealth. Or looked into what's going on in the ( worldwide ) Markets. Or even spoken to any Labour MP's and asked them what they think? Saying you hate based on populism is not the way forward here.
2
@growler5678 Not really. I'd just rather see this government succeed than Reform get anywhere near a position of power here. What's your excuse?
2
@growler5678 OK so you're a Reform voter. No, I have FA to say to you really. Maybe the nonsense will have died down in 4 years time though. Good luck with the hate really.
2
Exactly. Especially the leader of the free world. Suggesting we ignore him is utterly dumb. Like it or not Trump is here.
2
This is not the fault of Starmer mate.
2
@NoMoreVoxPops Ain't you blaming shit on Starmer here, sounds like you are.
2
@NoMoreVoxPops Ahh Ok, so this is just generally disparaging Labour and Starmer then for effect. Good job.
2
@NoMoreVoxPops No surprise there really, your original comment is just a bunch of nonsense.
2
@NoMoreVoxPops "Starmers Blue New Labour WMD v2.0" what is that even about, and what exactly do people have coming to them? ( well apart from cleaning up the utter mess the Tories left us )
2
@scottyfive4319 In what sense is he closer to the truth than anyone else here? I mean, Murphy just admitted here that he has no clue what trump is actually doing. An awful lot of other people are saying the same thing too. It's not like he has any insider information here either, he's not even in the game.
2
He can't
2
It's going to take a decade for Labour to fix what the Tories did.
2
If he didn't give Labour a day before starting his rants, he's not going to give Trump a year.
2
What's wrong with Foreign aid, would you like to explain?
2
@Nousmourronsseuls Gary wasn't anywhere near the best trader in the world. I like the guy, but that statement is a complete lie.
2
@davidmcculloch8490 Probably a bot.
2
@ No he didn't Campaign on Corbyn's policies. I mean, if he did then why is Murphy here throwing a fit?
2
@bumpty9830 in your opinion
2
I absolutely agree with the sentiment of the Anxious Generation . We can't keep up with the pace of technology in modern day life and ( love it or hate it ) it's somewhat frying our brains. The AI angle on this is very much a conversation we need to be having too.
2
Ironic.
2
If you have a pension then you are one of the shareholders.
2
I pride myself in the fact that I do not know one Taylor Swift song and do not care who she is :)
2
@helenheenan3447 Ignorance lol. She's just another pop star. 🤣
2
Surely the two are not mutually exclusive.
2
@petebateman143 Richard is not the answer to everything you know. Lol.
2
Labour and Reeves are advised by a team based around John Van Reenen who's actually an LSE Phd graduate Professor of economics and one of the best economists of his kind anywhere . Much of his published work is around the UK’s chronically weak productivity growth and I'm pretty sure his team know a little but more about this than you do Mr Murphy. But you keep playing the same "they dont' know what they're doing" cards. Let's see how this all pans out eh.
2
@Hickalum They are though. It's not something that can just be instantly fixed overnight though. Years of low productivity, stagnant wages and inequality can't just be magically fixed in a few months regardless of what anyone says.
2
Nonsense.
2
@alinaqirizvi1441 I agree, the original comment is completely naive.
2
@ Anyone I don't understand is a troll. Sure. You go with that.
2
Kinda agree here ( as someone who's dealt with a General anxiety disorder ) he really should stick to economics.
2
He tried, and failed.
2
@Redf322 He was the person who wrote Corbynomics, possibly destined to take a senior role in Labour’s shadow Treasury team if Corbyn had taken power. Didn't happen. Now I'm not been funny but if that isn't cause to grind an axe against those who did get in then I don't know what is.
2
QT started in February 2022 it's not some new thing.
2
Wrong.
2
I feel like everyone in this country is on the take and this is getting better not worse here, especially since the last Tory government and Brexit.
2
And then Reform will waltz in.
2
Please don't tell me you're from the US.
2
Supply and demand, greedy estate agents, buy to let, Air B&B, investment groups, sold off and never replaced housing stock. Lot's of metrics. I mean, it's hardly just boomers though, that's for sure.
2
There hasn't been a budget yet that's why. There is no story as of now.
2
We need reform of the council tax bands full stop.
2
@ No, not at all. Maybe do a little research on John Van Reenen, the LSE economics PhD professor behind the machine here. Maybe read some of his papers, get some insight.
