  4. To be honest I know how this guy feels. I am one of 4 white men working in a dept of 57 in the NHS. It busts my mental health all the time with their sickliness, laziness, bickering, and unprofessional attitude to patient care. The cultural differences are bad enough but I could get over that if they weren't so hard to work with, they all think they work in a cat food factory.

I live in a sleepy market town in Worcestershire, our local rag had a front page about a Pakistani man that decided he would kill his wife and along with his equally despicable brother, hide her body in some forest land. He eventually reported her "missing" but through a series of fecklessness it was all too obvious to the police what happened to the wretched woman. Honour killing was suspected. This was on the front page, after that the following pages had stories about charity events, parish notices, complaints about parking on paths....the usual stuff. I wonder how much longer before this murder story gets relegated to pages 2 or 3 or 4 as time goes on? These people are imported crime statistics.

I remember well my times all over Africa with the forces over the years providing medical support to infantry or assisting in UN ops, or dealing with the ravages of African politics in Sierra Leone. We would often see or get involved in some ridiculous situations with African officialdom and wonder how anything ever got done! As these people used to say to us "This is Africa" and apparently that explained the reasons adequately.

  8.  @djscoah8037  thanks Simon again I understand your issues. I see the same in the armed forces (I've just retired after 23 years yesterday as it happens). We employ the gobshites also here who are "out to change the narrative", not all by any means but the leadership again is at fault. The forces ethos is changing to give more and more grift to political issues instead of hiring, training, and encouraging the best that the forces can employ...ie those with a sense of patriotism, duty, service and sacrifice. Some of the problem is the youth of the UK, today no matter the background they dont feel any of things I listed above apply to them.

  9. The questions are loaded it's as simple as that. They are skewed to certain types...in this case Muslim and LGBT blah blah. The questions are designed to give these groups a sense of "victim satisfaction"

  11. I served in the forces for 24 years retired from it late last year. The changes I saw especially in the last ten years were chilling. The army in particular has become polluted by ideas that dont belong in anything that might have to face a strong opponent.

  13.  @TBarton7849  I retired from the forces last year after 23 years so wasn't treated to this particular dogma session, I had the treat of being sat for other such sessions. But in this particular instance however my colleagues still in service had the pleasure of it.

  16. I work in a NHS lab and I haven't seen any evidence of this. Dont worry I am as sceptical of the vaccine process for covid as the next man. But honestly I havent seen anything like this.

  19. The lack of chinese "over representation" in the media, arts etc is a little odd. Considering the value that China puts on Soft Power these days, and the fact that they are heavily invested in many of the institutions in this country, it surprises me that we arent seeing more of this.

I'm also grateful for the opportunity to serve in, and recently retire after 23 years in the Royal Navy. The islands of this corner of north west Europe need to stick together not divide loyalties.

  23. What I cant stand is the rhetoric from our leaders here in the UK. Whatever else Putin is or isnt, doing or not doing. He is still the leader of one of the superpowers in the world. Johnson and the other politicians should still attempt to maintain a public respect for him. Deal with him how they wish but keep the rhetoric out of it.

Here in cosy western society the main culprits are free to criticise this society as they wish, say what they wish and receive the support from the lefty idiots for their foolishness. When it all goes wrong for them the society they rubbish welcomes them back and gives them a nice cuddle in the form of social welfare. If they did these things in africa/middle east or wherever they would get no such sympathy I'm sure.

There are plenty of stories labelling this, that, or the other "far right", while at the same time plenty of good news stories about the latest black "advancements", such as they are. In particular I've noticed the "newsbeat" section aimed at younger viewers who wish to be "with it" is full to brim of this excrement.

Certain smaller sections appear to get a choice of what style pf policing they receive by way of discussion with "community leaders", as evidenced this week by the chief superintendent of the west midlands in an interview. Where are the community leaders i have recourse to in order to request what style of policing i want?

  40. The problem comes down to any sort of common sense mid term thinking. 2 things need doing, bring back proper apprenticeships within the "professional" class. Lower the entry standard but keep the training the same. Sure more may well wash out but that's the way it was in days gone also. The constant push in this country to artificially "gate" job qualification for UK people behind high entry standards, but then accept people from the developing world where standards are lower anyway is bonkers.

  45. ​ @Texeltup it most certainly has John, my section of the NHS is abound with diversity! 57 people, only 4 white men! It's also abound with in-fighting, feckless behaviour, bitchiness, unprofessional, lazy, and often times dangerous work practices. I could write an essay here on the things I see in what used to be a shining example of how a section could work. Now it's more of an example of how South Africa is run.

  49. I just dont understand why we are so quick to take people in from unfriendly countries, by quick i dont just mean in saying the thing but the actual doing of it! Yet when it comes to a manifesto promise going back many years to reduce migration it's so absolutely difficult. The whole thing stinks.
