They won't die because most of them are young. That's why the continent isn't hit as badly.

I'm as conservative as they come, and Macron has nearly convinced me that he's the way to go after he started handling religious radicalism, terrorism, and strengthened the police. I hope he keeps it up.
4
@Somerandomdude-ev2uh Cancelling views and laws that you almost objectively can interpret as "bad" doesn't have to be a problem. It becomes a problem when everything and everyone are "cancelled" for every little misstep or trivial violation. When people's own moderate views and activities ends up in the crosshairs by unstable activists with malicious intentions. Activists with too much of a say and influence in the entertainment, corporate- and political sphere.

Tech giants such as FB with an immense amount of power over countries around the world could easily be regulated if the political will existed there. I don't think people realize how easy it could be to ensure that political interference is prohibited, free speech upheld, and that we see consistency when the giants are intervening against users.
4
Repeat it like a NPC and you're good to go. Question nothing!

Hong Kong's independence and separation from China still applies. The only exception is that you won't be able to engage in secession, rioting, vandalism, nor connect yourself to the anti-government movement. For every law-abiding and average citizen, nothing has changed. Well, apart from an increase of order, an improved economy, and peace, lately.
4
The people travelling to Lebanon, Yemen or similar torn apart countries with a shattered economy has to be warned (which I presume many are) prior to taking the decision to take such a huge risk. But I think many of these people don't have any other choice than trying to improve their low standards of living and insecure situation.
4
Far-right is used interchangeably with "every slightly conservative party" or "the most right-leaning party in parliament/power". It's unfortunate because the term implies that the party is extreme Nazis when they aren't even close to that.
4
Sure, but the likelihood of these ruthless attacks decreases drastically if you provide good opportunity and comfort to your people. If you can detect and quash red flags early on. If you've got a strong state and a unified populace. Afghanistan doesn't meet any of these quotas and is far, far behind.
4
Many of these athletes showcases that they're above the law, genuinely privileged, spoiled and high on their own egos. This coronavirus outbreak has highlighted the fundamentally different point of view and concern for others that people have. Some are out partying, defying mask usage, and showing indifference to people dying. Others are respectful, socially distancing, quarantining and doing what they can to protect others. One group threatens humanity and ought to be regulated or discouraged.
4
Democrats is the last party that deserved to win if you know their stance on election security, whom should be able to vote, their activism to let criminals vote, and so on.
4
It's not and will never be a right to remove innocent offspring because you feel like it. Because it makes you comfortable. Because you couldn't use protection or act in a responsible way. Such women ought to be thrown out, or in jail, rightfully.
4
@link77ism Okay? The West is incredibly civilized and has contributed with billions in aid, healthcare workers, debt relief, and military assistance to build up the uncivilized world. We're the moral compass of the world in that regard and are greatly benefitting the rest of the world. Yet you abuse our hospitality and laws by committing atrocities against our people? Nobody in their right mind can rationalize that or think that's okay. Don't bring up a history that you've got no clue about unless you're willing to acknowledge all our efforts and sacrifices made, still to this day, to improve the world.
4
Why is money being thrown away on this trash? Donate to people in need. To rebuild broken countries. Enrich people's lives. Participate in charities. But no, someone throws away $70M on a non-existent painting. This world...
4
@ivarbrouwer197 The bright side of the capital punishment is that you won't see the person committing wrongdoing ever again. And you'll simultaneously ensure that taxpayer revenue isn't wasted on housing abhorrent maniacs. The cost of imposing the capital punishment in the USA could easily be cut down.
4
@ajay012 You're coming across as completely clueless if you don't understood what he meant. China isn't communist today, they're free-market capitalists with an authoritarian leaning that dictates some businesses and nationalizes some sectors. The country is flourishing today because they're capitalist. Perhaps do some own research?
4
French, what a beautiful language. Pure poetry & rolls off the tongue.
4
Everybody liked that. Good man!
4
The uphill slopes must be tough when you've travelled like 3K kilometres by skating lol
4
For sure. You can easily make sure that no innocent person is sentenced to death. Once that bar is reached, I don't see any problem in rapidly imposing the capital punishment to serve justice, protect the country, deter dangerous individuals from showing themselves, and eradicate the potential recidivism rate. The problem with the capital punishment in the USA is that it is so slowly imposed. Processes to sentence a person on death row takes decades and costs millions of dollars. That could be cut down severely without jeopardizing due process and the principle of being innocent until proven guilty.
4
Because signing peace deals with revolutionaries, rebels and literal terrorists has worked out in the past... Just look at Afghanistan and the Taliban's role. Cooperation with some groups is an impossibility if you strive for sustained peace. Maybe the situation is different in the Philipphines, however. Unsure about that.
4
Margaret Hodge comes across as a sly, cunning and repulsive snake that tries to spite and berate every person that she falsely has labelled as an 'anti-semite'. Despicable character.
4
@dontbothermeimjust12 Lol. Supporting abortion is a reasonable position for any moral person that values life, protects the innocent and is willing to uphold basic etiquette. Leave with your obnoxious pejoratives.
4
Reminds me of that Blue Water High episode when Eric spends all his money in his bank account to purchase a shiny new surfboard. The slightly stormy weather and surfing without a leg lope resulted in the board being lost after the first surfing session. RIP ~$800 or so. But it didn't end on such a bad note :)
4
He isn't innocent, so yeah.
4
@Ayratzay Collateral damage is unfortunate when striking against rebels, but it's an unavoidable necessity in some cases. What's the alternative? Let the rebels burn things down, attack civilians and seize territory? Of course not.
4
His words and advocacy is generally meaningless. He hasn't added anything of value to the USA. Just a tiresome centrist with no willingness to improve anything.
4
@justyouraveragejoe1333 Because 1st world countries hasn't gone hard enough against drug usage? Look at Singapore, Saudi Arabia, China, Vietnam and some others. They barely have huge cultural issues or a real presence of drugs, because they take it seriously. It works.
4
Not if that decision results in other people and their bodies being infringed upon. This is basically why all drugs including tobacco/alcohol should be outlawed, necessary vaccination programs obligatory, and abortion outlawed aside from in outlier and exceptional cases.
4
What "truth"? Making guesses and believing in contrarian theories in contrast to the government isn't the truth and is most certainly not clever.
4
Young, angry and uneducated people will always define things in such a crass way. Informing them that a couple regulations on the market doesn't equal unfairness or communism for that matter, will rarely change their minds
4
I don't think taking the red pill means killing off every brain cell and believing in conspiratorial fabrications regarding society and the world. It means opening up to the irreversible truth, usually in controversial issues. In this case, it'd mean that you acknowledge the importance in using medicine, prescriptions and vaccines in certain cases to prevent disease, minimize the spread of viruses, and ensure that your population is healthy. A blue pilled maniac would be an anti-vaxxer.
4
He's a smart guy. Capitalizing on societal fads to make money in a neutral manner, to support himself and to grow. Much respect to him.
4
@eggpotat5435 Good. It has to be. It's not a right to not protect yourself and spread viruses to other countries. If you can't protect yourself, expect to be prevented from freely participating in society. If mandatory vaccination programs can't be rolled out, these encouraging programs that private companies may adhere to, are preferred.
4
@augustushotel1737 Yeah, just don't get in the way of anyone else unless you're healthy and vaccinated. Carelessly spreading a virus, rejecting health measures and spreading misinfo about vaccination for selfish reasons should be criminalized.
4
Great gestures. Now let's take care of the Texan people and ensure that the power supply is stable for future reference.
3
...so? Bill Gates hasn't done anything wrong. Is it wrong, biased or bad to fund vaccination development, education facilities, food banks and increase people's standards of living? That's all that Gates has done. Why the baseless suspicion?
3
Watch out so you don't manage to create another pandemic or epidemic by letting these animals wander around everywhere. ;)
3
Would you let a virus spread freely without enforcing any real shutdowns or restrictions if the virus were 10x as deadly as the flu? Even the flu is taken very seriously. So no one in their right mind would trivialize or dismiss this virus.
3
Isn't Argentina in a national quarantine? Did the government tolerate people defying the recommendations all of a sudden?
3
"ruined society", lol. The economies in countries that has closed down are usually doing better than the open countries, because the countries who've used quarantines/curfews don't have to really worry about the virus anymore as opposed to the opened ones. Closed down countries has saved thousands of lives. Has bumped the pandemic to the future which has resulted in an increase of cures, prescriptions and vaccines being developed in the meantime, which benefits everyone. Temporary mental health deterioration (a cop-out by many egoists looking to do nothing to protect others) doesn't outweigh the mass death, sickness and societal implications of letting the virus freely wreak havoc.

@matematiginparadoksu987 Stop spamming and stop self-advertising trash content, thanks.
3
How many solar eclipse glasses are sold during eclipse season? How many were blinded this year?
3
There's not much more to say. Farmers are protesting even though the conditions on the agricultural market and the government's policy of purchasing farmers goods as a minimal price hasn't been changed. What more should reports be made about? Feeding into paranoia?
3
Nothing will ever satisfy your "skepticism" huh?
3
Stop referring to prostitutes as sex workers. Such euphemisms only serves to destroy civilized countries.
3
Let's immediately quarantine India then.
3
This prosecution is justified to reimplement peace and order in the city. Vandals terrorizing everybody, shaming the police, making things up, spreading subversive propaganda, destroying traffic lights, blocking roads, attacking mainlanders, and acting extremely hostile, obviously can't go on. Something had to be done.
3
Let the EU now finally dissolve so we can build up a stable, unified and civilized Europe once and for all. I'm presuming Poland and Hungary may be next. Or any country willing to establish self-determination and policies that EU actively are trying to stifle. Congratulations on the departure, United Kingdom and Brits. Hope it works out for you.
3
@Yukiwodashite Even Associated Press insinuates that Biden's "generous" open border policy is the partial result of the staggering crisis. When you signal that you'll accept people, give citizenship and suspend border controls, people will come en masse. That's what we've seen. I don't even read Fox News nor any right-wing bureaus, so let's not claim that this has anything to do with partisan reporting.
