  15. ​ @etherealicer This is it, people are very negligent with firearms, whether it be their direct use or storage, or their reference or media usage. It's one thing to store a firearm properly and obey the tenants of hunters safety. It is also highly dangerous to refer to your firearm in terms of its ability to kill human beings. This is one of the parts of the 2a community that I think gets missed is that it is the responsibility of firearm owners to generate a culture of firearm ownership and use that is structured towards safety and an appreciation of the danger, rather than one based on this badass killing machine. Also, when something is a right you abuse it and don't treat it as the privilege which it is. You'll notice that if you get far enough into a discussion about repealing the 2A you'll get threats of violence nearly every time. That's telling.

Also, the amount of money needed to live would decrease drastically, so I really wouldn't be losing out on too much. Meanwhile, our education would skyrocket, the poor would start disappearing, and the middle class would expand.

Wed also have to have some type of access that allows them to use their actual work on the floor to be part of their campaign, cause they currently cant show 'hey look at what I actually did'

The way I see it. If you are to claim self defense, you cant be the one instigating, and you cant be putting yourself into a k owning situation. Like you cant beat the shit out of someone who hits you in a mosh pit you knowingly joined and claim self defense. You put yourself in a mosh pit. People were told to stay away, and this guy traveled to there. He knowingly knew it would be dangerous. He knowingly knew he might have to use his firearm. He didnt half self defense, he went went in looking for an excuse.

The tepublicand have for decades just towed the same message that are given to them. Democrats have the ability to disagree with each other. Democrats are much closer to redemption than Republicans. Yhe democrats DO need a shake up of leadership though. The republicsnd need a shake up of everything.

Isn't that the exact same logic that the gun rights advocates protest against? If the people are they good they should have no problem registering their guns. NO, The officials should be doing everything in their duty to let the protests happen, and that is why they should organize with the protestors to apprehend bad actors.

  49. As an addendum to my own comment: A lot of people will say the firearm is their ability to overthrow some authoritarian government. We can see with modern politics that this is not the case, as it is just as likely a firearm owner supports the authoritarian government as they will oppose it. What the person is actually saying is they want to be able to force their authority onto other people with violence.
