  3.  @rageoid  An interesting idea but not the way the constitution works. If a president is allowed to choose a congress, then the oversight is lost. Like in the way Trump had it for his first two years. We the people are responsible for electing and dumping our congressmen and women. When only 60 % of people vote each election, it shows how much we don't care whats going on in Washington. It's our fault when we don't keep watch of all our reps and senator's and all our government. But we're too busy with our lives, understandably, to check out our reps before we vote. I'm just as bad . But if we want better government leaders we have to get involved just a bit more. We can't gripe and not be somewhat responsible ourselves. No president or congressmen are goin please everyone. Cause we're, all different. Look at McConnell. He's not really liked by the biggest chunk of his constitutes in Kentucky, but he's managed to win reelection since the 80s I think. He definitely needs to have been gone years ago. Something is fishy there. Anyway the government is set up the way it is for a good reason. But you're right that something should be revised or adjusted. It is a new world. Millions more people to govern and to consider.

Though individuals know rents due bills grow and buying food and other essentials is happening, if there was one mind driving the aid would be precise,,, funds could be in the neediest of us quickly and constantly. Keeping people calm while having to be stay at homers. But because some in our government, think feeding the big business is more important than the needy,,weeks went by without hope,,and still does for many. But patience is better than possible severe illness, with death,,,as a possibility as well.

  5. His people are wack jobs, but they know now, the results of listening, then doing, what he says. At least not all of them. Of course there are the obviously jobless, rally going holdouts. But these people aren't the attack dogs. They are more likely cheer on ers. But not violent. I still believe his rallies are bused to a large extent. We have to realize, the campaign has millions of dollars to spend on paid participation. It's been said huge numbers filmed at one rally, are present at many others. Bring say 500 people to a rally. That can sound like way more when they promote others to follow in. So for a few thou, they can salt a pretty good crowd.

  9. Thing is, Trump's ideas are never consistent. Lije with his campaign. He was 180 on everything as he is in office. Like everyone has said,his thoughts change depending on who's in the room. So,,you may agree with him on just what he says in one breath and totally disagree the next. We all change our minds. About our feelings,, thoughts on subjects, people,,most things. But it should hopefully be for the better. Trump s true base for his changing ideas are for his benefit,,for most part. Not for the people.

  18. Jesse, I wasn't aware of your cancer issue. But we both wish you the best and obviously a complete recovery. As with Jammie Raskin as well. We've had a few cancer issues in our family and most definitely know the heartbreak. I had a friend who's 4 year old nephew who had cancer since age 2. Treatment after treatment, including the removal of his feet at age 4. Did not stop the detrimental outcome from occurring,😥. You'd think by now, with the trillions... spent on finding it or dealing with it, besides polluting our bodies with radiation. Removing body parts and other terrible so called cures? We would have more to show for all this," research". Maybe, this is something that should be looked into. Read reports on not only cancer increase. But birth defects rise. It's terrible. But through all of this, you and Jammie and the other millions who we never know about.. get better and healthy recovery.

David, the Republicans wanted more attacks on everything Obama did than Trump has even done. Unless they think they are going to be connected in any way with any crooked goings on,,i doubt they're going to pull any of Trump's abilities. The lead Republicans hated Obama,,. No profits for toys like airplanes, football teams, other luxury bullshit? Good regulations, there would be plenty of bucks for medical coverage for all. Then, regulate the damn med world. Keep docs from charging hundreds per hour. Hospitals charging 85 bucks for an aspirin. There is so much damn rip, going on in the med world,its pitiful.

As a 71 year old average American born in Germany and coming here at 4, most of us, i believe, just want a decent living throughout our lives and as a retired person with no business related income, only living on SS, to be able to support my average home and retire with decency. I worked hard all my working life, but as a carpenter, lived pretty much paycheck to paycheck . Thankfully, my home, I built myself, is paid for. But we take care of stray cats and have 7 now. I believe most of us feel similarly. We just want to live a reasonable life. And if Kamala can help make that happen, she's doing well.

  31. I well remember the 2016 election. And the prediction that Hillary was a sure thing. Why? Because being a strong, well liked, capable woman. And women would DEFINITELY, put her over the top by far. So, though she did win the popular vote. It was only by 3 million votes. Joe Biden won by 7 million. I'm a man. And I easily voted for her. But. The problem is that pesty electoral college vote. I think Kamala will beat trump again, in the popular vote. The other??? I cannot swear to.

  47. When will people just understand, masks protect the other guy. I had covid, and though I did get my shots i still wear a mask in stores. Because I still think it helps my possible weakness to having a relapse and if I have anything that may affect others, my mask may help them. But masks were designed to protect the other guy.
