Yeah, Russia is poor because of everything you detailed and Canada is rich for not spending massively on all that.
3
@MB2.0 and democracy of the west would never reach 90% because there are multiple parties. When it’s it’s just one party and the party controls your information and news, of course approval will be exceptionally high. Just like in North Korea and Russia. Such high approval ratings are usually a bad thing but keep preaching l!
3
@thomasfsan "There’s nothing rational about what Putin is doing, if he wanted to improve Russia’s standing." Correct. It's purely about Putin and leaving a legacy. Nothing he did regarding Ukraine is beneficial to Russia.
3
@kevinw2592 yes, you point to many of the issues with the logic of this video and many other videos from Caspian Report. It's increasingly trying to defend aggressive states either on purpose or their attempt to find an exact middle ground. This is the logic from the video. Russia is aggressive (but completely downplayed in the video) and bullies it's neighbors and former puppet states. Those states are worried and join alliances for protection. Russia then sees those alliances as threats and thus has 'valid concerns' which they then use to follow through on the aggressiveness they have displayed.
3
Everything I've heard about what the people of Belarus think, what you said lines up well. But these geopolitical channels are increasingly trying to make everything look like worst case scenario.
3
@miliba his name is Robert Paulson.
3
@miliba lol. That ones better
3
@alukuhito w8ma0, you guys are copy and pasting the same thing everywhere
3
Also no Osama and Al Qaeda no longer a threat to the US.
3
@islandwills2778 "you need to google "extending russia" a think tank paper written by the USA " There is no 'by the USA". it's by one person who works for a think tank. You likely come from an oppressive authoritarian state where everything is controlled by the state so I get your confusion.
3
@JG-xm8jy how is Moscow today? Anyways, you don’t think Ukraine would want to joint nato after Russia attacked them and killed tens of thousands of people and costa that will be over $100 billion?
3
@JG-xm8jy U support ruzzian fscm. definition: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (1) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and (2) that stands for a centralized autocratic government (3) headed by a dictatorial leader, (4) severe economic and social regimentation, and (5) forcible suppression of opposition 1. Exalts the Russian nation above all else 2. Russia is highly centralized with Putin as the autocratic leader 3. Putin is has essentially made himself dictator by rigging the system and by use of number 5 4. Putin eliminates opposition with poison, prison, or pushed out of windows. He arrests protesters in mass numbers
3
@Nik-jq4tx the conversations on EU/NATO stalled by late 90's to mid 00's before LGBTQ rights were a big thing.
3
@thepunisher2988 so by your logic, Australian and China are close Allies because the huge trade? And Europe and Russia are close Allies because of the huge trade? By the way, national interests include shared values.
3
@moonasha Lukashenko is surrouned by countries that left Russias sphere so he had a chance. But for decades all he wanted was power and so he played both sides rather than do what's best like his neighbors did.
3
@LeOssiTrollterrible Are people not smart enough to understand it's a typo? The pie literally has India much smaller than China. A quick google search shows India's budget on defense for 2023 is USD $72 billion not $276b as mentioned in the graph. In addition, seconds after that graph he mentions that China's $230b don't include paramilitary forces, coast guard, R&D, space program and many other military activities. Even mentions that in 2017, all those cost and adjusted for purchasing power & exchange rate it was equal to 87% of the US spending in 2017. In 2023, he states China's % of US spending is likely higher.

@TeoBlu Nothing wrong with Scottish Royal Titles Sales. I am now a Lord thanks to Established Titles! I even had a chance to meet with the royal family. Note: This post was sponsored by Established Titles. See Terms and Conditions for details.
3
@widodoakrom3938 they won’t choose China, that’s for sure. Most are neutral but several are indeed working with the US and are afraid of china taking control of those waters. But they also don’t want to anger China so they try to stay neutral where possible. Vietnam has actually done some drills with the US
3
@widodoakrom3938 Says who? Says literally Vietnam by running drills with the US. Vietnam has one of the most to loose with China's aggressive expansion. Vietnam isn't a tight close ally of the US but their interest are aligned with the US. Are you even aware that Vietnam last year began also building artificial islands near China in order to counter their moves? Did you know that Japan is the biggest investor in Vietnam and US is the biggest export market for Vietnam? Just because they might not fight directly doesn't mean they won't provide some support stop China if China starts some fighting in the South China Sea.
3
@文雯-o6o The Yasukuni Shrine has millions of names of people who died in war. Yes, some are war criminals but it's just not a shrine for war criminals, just a shrine with 2.5 million names and a few are war criminals. China literally has a shrine of just Mao in Beijing -- a man that was responsible for the deaths of 50 million people! So, wouldn't you say that's even worse? A direct shrine and people openly worship someone that is responsible for 50 million deaths?
3
@victormacdougall6395 “if people are oppressed they will eventually fight back and revolt”. Lol. Sometimes that takes a lifetime. North Koreans can’t fight back as the military and Kim have too much power over them. All you are doing is showing you support the Taliban
3
@Pedro-zu3uq Argentina is too small of a market to have such heavy tariffs. Only works with large domestic market, such as the United States and China, and a couple of others that have enough local buyers that you could theoretically have tariffs and improve industries for the most part. most countries that succeed in building industry will have low or no tariffs though may protect an industry or two in which the country will focus on developing.
3
@baronvonlimbourgh1716 gdp per capita adjusts for population. Only a fool uses gdp rather than gdp per capita…and I do see some using that. One flaw in the gdp but that only affects a small % is that if you paid $100billion to dig a hole and then just put all the dirt back, that’s $100b increase in gdp. That’s not a realistic example but demonstrates that bad spending can increase gdp. In the end, if every country measured it well, median income would be the best single metric. For some reason most countries don’t properly measure it.
3
@baraodascolinas979 the Afghanistan war was a contributing factor in the economic problems of USSR. The failed reforms you mention were a result of economic problems that had been going on 20 years by mid 80’s. Afghanistan didn’t destroy USSR but It was a contributing factor.
3
@mickydrippin3105 $1 trillion doesn’t translate to anything until they have a stable government, low violence, infrastructure to move the resource, infrastructure to store the resource, proper market to sell the resource, etc. It’s a long ways away for that. That’s why you have some resource rich countries in Africa that are very poor.
3
All you anti west leftist just need to ask if India is happy they broke away from their oppressive non democratic rulers (British) despite millions dying in the aftermath. In case you don’t know know the answer, Indians are happy for that just like Libyans will be in the future that they got rid of Gaddafi.
2
@ethanswartz5161 A lot of his most recent videos seem to be defending the antagonist like Russia, China, etc. It's becoming more click bait and or alarmist. Same with real life lore.
2
@focast1825 the saying is just pointing out you can win all the battles but you might lose interest
2
@faiq026 it’s right win ideology that the government stay out of healthcare. It’s sad.
2
@MB2.0 Xi Jingping does not have 90% approval rating but you just outed yourself as a Beijing worker. You are probably referring research that polled Chinese about their opinion of the party over a long period of time but mostly 2000-2010 when the country was growing 10-15% annual in gdp. It’s 2022 and China is growing under 4% probably under 3% for the year. The polling has zero to do with approval of Xi in 2022z How is Beijing?
2
@BasicLib MB 2.0 is a Beijing worker for sure. Or Russia. Either way, all his comments are defending the worst regimes from China to Russia to Syria.
2
0:18 40,000 casualties (killed, captured, injured, missing) in one month is insane and obviously not sustainable. Makes sense why Russia is pulling back and looking to concentrate on eastern front. Imagine 40k for month would be 200k in 5 months, the whole force in Ukraine.
2
Putin lost the war. If he was honest that the invasion of Ukraine was mostly due to fear of NATO expansion, Well NATO just got a huge border with Russia and and add in Sweden as well. Plus NATO just unified and stronger than ever. If Putin wasn’t actually considering NATO when invading, then he has proven he lied about justification for the invasion.
2
@Viperzka Honestly, I think only a pro Putin would think it's a fair treatment of the situation. You point out when a nuclear armed nation was invaded? Why doesn't the video mention that? You also realize that historically it was Russia invading it's neighbors FAR more than it's neighbors invading Russia yet this video leads viewers to believe Russia was invaded more often or equally often. The fact is there is zero 'understanding why Russia is afraid" UNLESS it's goals are to have puppet states and bully it's neighbors but fears those nations retaliating. Literally every problem that is Russia related in that region is because Russia is a aggressive and wants to dominate it's former puppet states.
2
@shmeckle666 Russia was good? They invaded peaceful Ukraine. They invaded Georgia in order annex. They are. Threatening to invade peaceful countries. Working hard for rubles.
2
@jesusaguilar4585 “legitimacy given by its people”. But I’m Belarus that’s not happening
2
9:15 lose a lot of credibility when you suggest that the US was behind bombing of nord stream pipeline. That would be the the worst thing for the US to do because if evidence was found, it would cause irreparable and major damage in the relationship. So why give that suggestion?? The video also lots of conspiracy like arguments. One the worst I’ve seen of this channel.
2
@ritemolawbks8012 exactly. The video seems to suggest that the US is similar to Russia. Such an action is not only a sign of a lawless country but would be a terrible decision because the benefit is small but the potential consequences would be unimaginable.
2
@alukuhito stolen lands like Tibet and Xinjiang? Here is your .50 yuan
2
@alcubz2622 good Point. The export of labor is indeed an indication of failed policies at home. IIRC, the Philippines economy is one of the most dependent on exported labor and just like the oil curse, this too can be a curse. Proper policies at home aren’t implemented because there is enough money coming from exported labor With many Filipinos speaking English, with the right policies, Philippines should be able to make much better economic progress like how India has been doing the past decade.
2
Slava Ukraini!
2
@muhammadadeel8639 SOME Opposition being armed by the west doesn't mean that you can make up whatever excuse for why they were armed. Do your bosses allow you to have good faith arguments?
2
@linkme2dnet " Plus the seaborne cargo shipment is significantly cheaper due to greater capacity to move more volume." you seriously didn't make this comment in regards to a small distance needed to travel 'seaborne'? It's easier if they just load it on a train from origin and stay on the train until the end than it is to have to unload the goods, load on a ship, travel a small distance, then unload the goods, then load the goods on a new train that will finish the rest.
2
The world is transitioning to alliances based on shared values and less based on economics. That’s why Chinas closest Allies (not actually close since China doesn’t have true close ally) are mostly authoritarian governments that do lots of business with China. Australias allies are mostly democratic governments most of which they do little business.
2
@dana8503 yes, for all the crap the US gets (much of it deserved), they have the waters mostly free for all and protecting global trade.
2
@djcoopes7569 how did NZ distance itself from the US?
2
@djcoopes7569 I found nothing to support your claim about New Zealand. NX is a major non-nato ally.
2
Lithium is so expensive to mine that it won't be HUGE impact on economy....though it will be an impact on national security.
2
@J_X999 "Look at China, 40 years of impressive growth, and now an unsustainable model coming apart at the seams." & " Unlike China's government, it's extremely clear that India's growth has been hampered by short term thinking to win the next election. Democracy has many great advantages, " Autocratic states can get the ball rolling faster....but autocratic states also make it hard to get the ball to stop or change direction if something is wrong. China saw big growth in some part because their ability to just force people to support what they are doing and suffer if they are left out or benefit if they are in the in-group. But They are now seeing major problems because they didn't change course because autocrats have trouble with that. They took far too long to get rid of the one child policy, far too long to stop zero covid, far too long to address the pyramid scheme housing market, etc.
2
@MB2.0 yeah, those with close relationship with the US like Taiwan south Korea and Japan have turned out to be such poor countries, right comrade? /s
