  6. Just because you write books and sell them on a market doesn't make you a capitalist. Sure you can call yourself that, go right ahead. But everyone who sells something does not mean they are a capitalist. You can sell things on a market within socialism as well. Markets aren't inherently unique to capitalism.

Styxhexenhammer666 Yes wage labour that is compelled upon you or else you are deprived of your needs and starve is very much a part of the capitalist mode of production, but human labor itself is not capitalism, how it's used is what defines if it is capitalist or not. Human labor is a commodity in capitalism. In your case you have to commodify your writings and sell it onto a market in order to gain access to commodities that you need to survive. Yes, we are forced to partake in a capitalist economy, but I am not a capitalist because of that.

If you aren't being paid through wage labour under capitalism, and instead write or make art, you have to sell it in order to access items of consumption to survive. In capitalism artist makes art for the commodity of money, in socialism artist makes art for art. I don't work for a wage either, but being an artist within capitalism sucks. Whats so good about a system that threatens you with starvation and homelessness unless you sell yourself to an employer or partake in market transactions? IS that not authoritarian in itself.

I'm not a fan of government, I hate the U.S. government and all of its history, I think Stalin was a fucker, but I know more history than you to know that anything socialism doesn't automatically equate into Stalinism. Styxhexenhammer666 The system I support would have the people the working class controlling the political process until democracy is radically expanded as opposed to the minority rule we have now. Once every worker is liberated then the state can gradually cease to exist. The ultimate end point is for full communism which is a moneyless, stateless, classless society. Build full communism and we can have things like the Venus Project. How to get there is the question, past socialist states and socialist revolutions rather than demonizing them without actually knowing anything about them, I look to them as historical lessons and things to be improved upon. That's great you enjoy your work and are satisfied with it, I'm glad for you, but does the worker who built your computer or who mined up the parts that it's composed of enjoy theirs? It's pretty miserable work when you are overworked and paid very little in the shittiest conditions, while they don't get to enjoy the fruits of their labor one bit, a minority who owns the means of production gets to siphon all the wealth that the workers labor produces. Forced into these contracts otherwise they will starve or people in this country who have to work two shitty jobs just to keep from starving and not going homeless, how is this system not authoritarian? When 85 people own more wealth than 3.5 billion people, you got a fucked up system that will lead humanity into chaos and destruction.

  18. The free market doesn't exist. There is no such thing and there never can be. An absolutely free perfect equal market that is free from imbalances or government regulation can not exist because the laws of property are always going to necessarily bring in another third party which must enforce them. To believe such a thing could happen is unrealistic and is purely imagination. Instead we live in a late capitalist world with money nowhere to go, commodities with nobody to buy them and production which can't be completed. If commodities can't be sold, then they can't ever realize their value, profit can't be realized and the working class can never buy back all the commodities they make. And money has to be spent on production to keep capital flowing, but instead money is being increasingly hoarded because when businesses aren't profitable, then money isn't invested so it has nowhere to go except into tax havens. Capitalism's own inner workings are contradictions which is why you constantly see it in chaos. The capitalist machine can only keep chugging for so long until it reaches its total breakdown. The only solution is a total replacement of the system with planned organization.

  32. There was once a time in Europe where there was communal land that everyone could use and gather subsistence to survive. But because of capitalist primitive accumulation it was taken away. It seized communal property, property that was considered available to every person in the country but it was seized and turned into private property of a few individuals and stripped away the ability for the majority of the peasants to gather their own means of subsistence, which broke down communities and caused a massive influx of homeless people who had no choice but to work for the capitalists.
