Dr. Ford requested an FBI investigation from the moment she went public. HOW! is it "impossible" for you to do ask the WH to re-open the background check? BS. Lindsey... BS!
1
OMG ... this man is pure evil and totally detached from the facts of the real world. And Fox News is aiding him spread this misinformation!!?
1
... and in related news: Nobody expects this will be the last violation of the Constitution Trump makes.
1
The dishonesty here is incredible ... To claim that (indirectly) hiring a British spy who hates the Russians is "collusion" with the Russians is just silly.
1
I'd hard to overstate how dishonest this video is.
1
Jesus! ... how can anyone expect anyone not to have an opinion on the crimes of the president?
1
"Trump derangement syndrome" is something apologists for the rampant corruption and authoritarianism says to avoid relating to the facts on the ground.
1
Lindsey is either willfully lying or having a very bad memory. Dr. Ford already described this years before Trump became president, she tried to contact congress before Kavanaugh was nominated and the letter she sent to Feinstein was forwarded to the FBI. However... it needs the republicans and the WH to actually re-open the background investigation. ... and THAT, Kavanaugh refused several times to say he wanted them to.
1
Other Talk Jesus! I'm tired of these strawman evasion tactics. Get real. NO! I don't think it's up to the suspects to "decide". But that doesn't mean they can't state their wish for a proper investigation. "And she never named Kavanaugh before he was nominated. She even admitted that she made the allegation in order to change the outcome of the confirmation hearing. These are just facts." No it's not. She specifically said that the took contact to her representative to prevent him from being NOMINATED. You are simply wrong.
1
She meant to say "Diplomats".
1
Dear Kellyanne ... THIS IS NOT THE TRIAL. A bit of advice... you have a guy at home who can explain it all to you. PS: It must be some surreal atmosphere in the Conway household.
1
Hypocrites like Lindsey Graham is a danger to the constitution. The accuser is the f*cking House of Representatives. Trump will get every opportunity to confront them come the Trial. The whistle-blower has ZERO significance now. Everything in the whistle blower complaint has been confirmed, INCLUDING BY TRUMPS OWN FIRST HAND RELEASE OF THE PHONE CALL!
1
what?!? This is probably the most ridiculous thing I've seen in the whole Kavanaugh circus. OF COURSE Chelsea is not in any way responsible for her fathers actions... and yet, Broaddrick immediately throws herself into a weird guilt-by-association tantrum.
1
"Permanently tarnish" ? ... Ohh... like .. say... leaving the Climate agreement, enriching himself, constantly lying, Abusing the pardon power? ... should we go on?
1
Yeah... right... why haven't anyone taken this to law enforcement? ... Oh wait... the GOP senate and the WH doesn't want FBI involved.
1
No one is against finding out about government waste. People are against being filled with BS to distract from Musk financing tax breaks for his oligarch friends. ... Like when he posted about 120+ yo people getting social security and it was pure BS and based on a misunderstanding of the COBOL code.
1
So - Assuming Hannity is right that Sondland was the only "fact witness". He actually DID say that "yes" - there was a quid-pro-quo. He also quoted the president denying it... BUT that conversation was made AFTER Trump got caught.

I'm Danish ... and this discussion is just ridiculous. First of all. Denmark is not a "socialist" country. It's a market economy with a welfare system which is a result of 100 years various conservative/liberal and social democrat governments. "Social Democrat" is NOT the same as socialism. Secondly ... Bernie might call himself "Democratic Socialist", but none of his proposals are actual socialist. Most of them are ordinary social democrat policies you'd find in any Scandinavian market economy (be it Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland...) I'm not a social democrat and I'm not sure I agree with all of Bernies proposals, but equating him with Venezuela is simply STUPID.
1
These guys yelling at each other doesn't mean anything. What's important is that Trump has an agenda to abolish western democracy and install himself as a King the same way as Putin ... they are orchestrating a return to feudalism. All their fancy talk about democracy, free speech and the constitution doesn't mean anything. Watch what they do. He's explicitly declaring himself above the law and siding with dictators over democracies. You don't get many more chances to wake up ... And PS: China will be the one benefiting most by Trump abandoning it's allies and siding with the autocracies. If Europe can't trust the US the strong alliance against China is gone.
1
I certainly hope also Fox News viewers are capable of seeing past any verbal variations and seeing this for what it is. It's illegal for Trump to solicit aid from a foreign government ... regardless of whether he made it an exchange of favors. So, whether or not it was a "quid-pro-quo" doesn't really matter. This the nature of what he wanted which is illegal. That said... it was a "this-for-that"... in fact, it was soliciting a *bribe*: An extortion. This is as clearly impeachable as anything you could imagine: Treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
1
@robertkleiman Huh? This just makes no sense. There's no bilateral rules of diplomacy addressing this. It's probably very frowned upon in diplomatic circles (as witnessed by the Ukranians explicitly saying to Amb. Taylor that they wouldn't want to be involved in US elections), but it's really completely irrelevant. A "treaty" with the Ukrainians (which I would btw. encourage you to link to) couldn't supersede US law or the US constitution. Soliciting a favor for help in a US election from a foreign government is illegal AND the constitution explicitly forbids bribery and makes it an impeachable offense. Trump simply cannot use the power of the office for personal political campaign purposes. Especially not by extorting a foreign government tax payer funds allocated for national security purposes.
1
@robertkleiman > "The president has been talking about corruption since the day he ran for president " ... I think "talking" is the operative word here. Trump moved administration corruption into overdrive. Blatantly violating the emoluments clauses and nominating the most corrupt people ever. Just take Scott Pruitt ... Trump IS corruption. He runs the administration like a mob family. And - I have to repeat - NO treaty puts the constitution out of effect. You CANNOT use your office for personal gains by bribery and extortion. It doesn't matter which bilateral agreements you have. The office of the president is NOT at tool to be used in political campaigns by the president and soliciting a foreign power to manufacture dirt on your opponent is still a crime. Doing it by extortion at the expense of national security is clearly impeachable: Bribery is right there explicitly named. How can you think a bilateral agreement with any country would put the president above the law?
1
@robertkleiman > "if the president had violated the emolument clause dont you think it would be easier to impeach him on that " Maybe. Maybe not...I doubt it. Financial legal issues are hardly easier to explain, than a clear corrupt bribe. But how is that an argument?!? > "Actually all that shows is that you know nothing about the things your speaking about . " And how is THAT an argument??????? Even the Republicans objected to the Doral thing. You don't have to be a genius to see why military planes are being redirected to airports in Ireland next to Trumps properties. He's milking the presidency for private financial purposes and hasn't (unlike all other presidents) disassociated himself with his businesses. Heck... he even said explicitly the other day that he still considers himself to be in the Hotel business. And so what if what I say is not "original" !?. HOW is that an argument? Are you really saying you are only prepared to listen to reason if it's just a single person able to see it? This is not rocket science you know ... A LOT of people are able to see through this con man.
1
@robertkleiman ... so much wrong here. Let's just point out that if your business is running with a deficit, even selling you stuff "at cost" is an infusion of cash. It's simple economics. He's not allowed to direct business to his properties - even "at cost". Secondly... Please tell me that you are aware that when Joe Biden told the Ukrainians they had to fire the prosecutor, the prosecutor HAD STOPPED the investigation into Burisma. If there was any effect of Joe Bidens actions it would be to fire the guy who had SHELVED the investigation into the company his son was on the board of. How can that be corruption? Why is this so complicated? It's facts... go look it up.
1
Sycophants ... Is it so hard to grasp that Russia just want to undermine democracy? And no! Your cult leader was in no way exonerated. In fact Mueller explicitly said he COULD NOT do that.
1
What a blowhard. First complain about the process is unfair because the president can't defend himself (which is wrong)... and then when it's offered and the president denies doing it, complain about the offer was made. Idiot.
1
I'm 100% with Bill Maher ... but gee ... I also recall these people on Fox being all in for Trump ... which makes me have little confidence in their integrity. And NO! ... he's not taking "the things you said" and "dragging your common sense" into anything. He's being rational... something you guys only pretend to be when it suites you. His line of argumentation didn't originate with you ... and you are usually not the proponents of common sense. Jesus...
1
The intellectual dishonesty in this walkaway thing is astonishing. If you believe in liberal democracy, you don't suddenly become a Trumpist just because you witness some SJW idiocy.
1
Eh? ... maybe because you've never told anyone what the questions were?
1
@Erika Erikson There was a lot in the above thread. Which specific thing are you requesting a source for?
1
What a despicable little weasel.
1
What Strzok did was stupid, but somehow even Dershowitz fails to see the difference between personal political opinions and actual bias in his work. Sure, he should be removed - as Mueller did - for the appearance of bias alone. But saying that you automatically have bias in your work if you have a political opinion is just stupid.
1
I think it's a good thing for the Republicans in that committee that they are not under oath.
1
One thing is to become independent, but having seen how the Republicans have behaved without any moral integrity what so ever, it's pretty impressive that someone would want to seek out the party.
1
How stupid do Nunes thing we are?

1
Why would Jim Jordan think it makes a difference whether the Ukrainians know that also the aid was held up until the 29th of August?? It's a fact that Zelensky actually caved after that and planned to do what Trump demanded in an interview with Fareed Zakaria on Sep. 13th. That it didn't happen is only because the aid was released 2 days after the plot became public. Failing to rob a bank doesn't make you innocent of bank robbery.
1
So ... if Mike Lee agree with Turley that this is "rushed" ... maybe he will stand up and DEMAND that Trump complies with subpoenas to allow the relevant witnesses to testify and hand over documents OR be impeached for obstruction of Congress???? Will he?
1
@cw3598 ... Yeah... before they knew "individual 1".
1
Wow... a shitty argument. How does the president testifying constitute an imbalance between the branches?!?! Didn't they impeach Clinton for something he said during a testimony? The Republicans are soaked in hypocrisy.
1
Hate to break it to you Tucker ... but they are right. You're on the wrong side of history. ... and btw... seemingly incapable of being honest in just a single sentence. ... THAT's the reason it's impossible for you to have a normal conversation.
1
Having watched US politics for over a decade and having followed it very close the last 2 years ... if I were an American, I wouldn't trust the Supreme Court at all after this, if he's confirmed. Trump has broken the presidency. Contrary to what Trump claims, respect for the US in Europe is nose diving. Mitch McConnell have broken the senate and together they have now broken the SCOTUS. Btw... the person who it was claimed Ford helped with the polygraph has denied the story. It's actually appalling anyone would accuse her of deliberately lying. A lot of Americans need to look themselves deep in the mirror and decide whether they have any respect for morality.
1
There's nothing I'd like better than be able to mind my own business. ... but unfortunately, whether we like it or not, what happens in the US affects the whole planet and the future of every child. It's not a small thing that the worlds largest economy is led by a Climate Science Denier who thinks it's all a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese. And PS: ... you don't really have any basis for knowing what my attitude to islam is, do you?
1
Wrt... those "4 facts which will never change". ... the issue is though: Those are either not the relevant facts, lies, or a daring bet that no one will flip and admit what is otherwise obvious.
1
The only threat to American Democracy is the wanna-be autocrat in the WH and the fact-free sycophant covering for his corruption.
1
It's hopeless... people in this personality cult are completely delusional. ... if only the virus didn't have collateral damage, let them harvest as they sow.
1
Regina Phalange Hmm... I didn't show up with a weapon. I'm alive. Also... I wonder whether flaunting such a huge weapon was a part of what made people view him as a threat and chase him with weapons. (bear in mind, the other idiots showing up with guns were also idiots) ... seems like a non-sequitur to me.
1
Regina Phalange yep .... a good way to ensure not being the one dead.
1
So many dangerously stupid people ...
