DokktorDeth I read Wymer as if he thinks Dershowitz is ignoring important parts for the hearing which speaks against Kavanaugh. And I agree. So if you also agree, I don't understand your comment.
1
You are not improving the impression of the "conservative" American mind in the eyes of the outside world with posts like that.

By now, - I seriously wouldn't put it past Republicans to try to put this lunatic on the SCOTUS.
1
I thought ISIS was defeated. ... Oh... it was Trump saying it. ...
1
Well... he lied his way through that SOTU ...and turned it into a reality show handing out gifts like a Roman Emperor.
1
... so ... meanwhile, in the real world...
1
What a whiner ... SHE BROKE THE F*CKING RULES!
1
Well ... this is of course absurd... but it's even more absurd, that it's highlighted by someone supporting their president being above the constitution.
1
So ... Tucker... is "bribery" an impeachable offense?
1
@PinkEye Sure... using "leverage". But not if what you want to obtain is for your personal benefit. That was EXACTLY why the founders put bribery in the constitution. The office shouldn't be used for personal gains. Actually - even if Trump had asked for this "favor" without extorting the Ukrainians it would be illegal due to campaign laws. It makes a world of difference whether what he demanded was for his personal gain or not. ... and it clearly was.

There seem to be a lot of useful idiots in the Republican party these days ... Devin Nunes is not one of them. He's lying consciously.
1
So - prepare for this just getting worse and worse ... thanks to the Republican party obstructing meaningfull Climate action for decades.
1
Dear Jeanine ... People don't "hate" the president. They hate that he's a corrupt con-man who only has his own personal interest at heart. He abuse the office for personal gains, threatening national security and the very foundation of the US democracy.
1
Haha... "Getting along with Russia" ... sure... if you let the US become a Russian style oligarchy and opening it to Russian state organized crime, I'm sure you would "get along" pretty well with Russia. Tucker ... you're so transparent.
1
Well... The president DID praise the corrupt and he DID intimidate the patriot witness. It's hard to see how Fox can keep spinning this... The issue is not that she was fired. The issue is WHY she was fired and what that laid the ground work for.
1
"The House of Representatives...shall have the sole Power of Impeachment." -- Article I, Section 2, Clause 5 At this point it gives me nausea to hear a Republican talk about how much they love the Constitution. BS ... it's never been about the Constitution. It's been about your egos.
1
So you're putting up conditions for obeying the constitution now? I'm so sick and tired of hearing "conservatives" preach about the constitution. They have no intention of obeying it if they don't like the result.
1
Oh... so now Americans want to know about history. Did you get to read about the 1930s yet?
1
What an idiot... that tweet was Jan. 9th. We all got wiser in the weeks after that ... except Trump and his sycophants
1
Oh shut up Tucker. ... I think these authoritarian antifa folks are idiots too. But I also despise your hypocritical dishonest lying face and Trumpism .
1
Yeah... he has never badmouth an entire segment of the population ... like... the 54% who don't approve of him. ... but apart from that... sure.
1
So ... I wonder ... Do Tucker think this smear of him will make Bolton want to spill the beans more or less?
1
Fox News ... tinfoil hats.
1
So ... Do Kellyanne really expect us to believe that Trump hadn't done anything suspect before August 1st? Who believes that? ... Certainly not her husband.
1
I agree ... the acting, disguise and accent of Sacha Baron Cohen are very mediocre ... which makes it even more ridiculous that he managed to fool politicians.
1
What?! ... you're f*cking insane. How low can the Republican party sink? They seem hell bend on ending the American republic.
1
@edgaraponteful Could you try reformulate that as a sentence?
1
@edgaraponteful ... sorry ... I didn't know sentences was that hard for you to make.
1
Sure... dirty play seems endemic to US elections. On both sides. Let's not forget that Republican primaries got cancelled in several places this year.
1
@TheDantsu Sure... but don't go around pointing fingers at other people for not being democratic then.
1
@TheDantsu We can discuss whether I was naive when it happens... until then we can just observe that you chose to argue in hypotheticals
1
... or ... (says Occams razor) ... maybe it's just because having a lying con-man abusing his office for personal gain is a real danger to the Republic created by the founding fathers.
1
You're full of BS Gowdy. Your high horse is heavily burdened by the hypocrisy of all those stupid Benghazi hearings. I don't ever want to hear a Republican talk to me about morality again.
1
Why is Tucker incapable of honesty? ... and strange how Dershowitz is very alarmed by perjury ... but not all perjury.
1
@paul.vulcon That is strictly speaking not true. There are plenty of things you cannot "prove" logically, but I also fail to see what the argument is here. It should tell people a lot that the Republicans are more interested in getting the name of the person who blew the whistle on the crime than actually looking at the evidence for the crime ... and protecting the constitution against exactly the kind of corruption which worried the founding fathers the most: Bribery and Influence of foreign governments.
1
Actually Sean ... the sycophants who used to preach about the constitution, but now couldn't care less about what the founding fathers intended is what is embarrassing to America.
1
@rawpoetfilm I don't know whether she's bitter. She's right on the substance though. I think it's getting silly that each time someone points out how outrageous Trump has behaved, they are immediately accused of being partisan or the president tweets that they are "Never Trumpers". This is just an absurd argument. If the president actually behaves corrupt and as a threat to democracy, this is exactly how it would look. It should come as no surprise to anyone that the more people learn about such a president the more they come to believe he's a problem. His behavior is what makes people horrified about what he's doing to the future of democracy. You can't have it both ways. You can't demand that only his sycophants are credible if they criticize him and scream about that anyone criticizing him is "biased" against him. ... at some point you HAVE to actually try to relate objectively to the substance.
1
Raven X From what I can see, everything points to that Trump has done explicitly the thing the founders put impeachment in the constitution for: He leveraged the power of his office to solicit a bribe from a foreign power for personal gains - specifically to help him in his election. It doesn't matter that he got caught.
1
Raven X Trumps point-man Amb. Gordon Sondland explicitly said that he was following the presidents orders and that the investigations were a condition for a White House meeting.
1
Raven X Claiming that there's "nothing" is just blatantly denying the facts. Trump even committed an impeachable offense directly on camera by asking China to start investigations of Joe Biden. And even if we gave Trump the benefit of doubt wrt. all the bribes and election interference it's impossible to deny the obstruction of Congress ... but I'm sure you will try.
1
Raven X Which part of "Was there a quid-pro-quo? The answer is yes" is it you don't understand?
1
@rawpoetfilm You should grow up and let facts matter instead of this silly search for excuses.
1
I hope everyone is aware that he did EXPLICITLY have his lawyers ague in court that even if he actually shot someone on the street he couldn't even be investigated.
1
Bullshit. Graham is not interested in the factual part of Dr Fords testimony at all. He's just trying to fabricate a story about this being the Democrats plan for a last minute sabotage. ... and that narrative is fully in conflict with Dr. Ford having approach congress long before he was even nominated and have told others already in 2012. Grahams conspiracy theory has the big problem that ANY other nomination would have made this whole thing fall apart. There's a reason nobody came forward with accusations against Gorsuch, but that they came forward for Kavanaugh but Graham want's us to believe that this would have happened regardless of who was nominated. BS...
1
Well .... if you do something as blatantly corrupt as Trump did, it's hard to not be able to predict the outcome. And those democrats who have already votes for impeachment did it because of other high crimes he has committed. Heck... the emolument issues has been there basically since day 1.
1
Mitch McConnell ... proud of filling the judicial systems with people deemed unqualified by the bar association.
1
colette s ... taking pride in ignorance, I see.
1
It's strange though ... if this is a con game... how come nobody accused Gorsuch of sexual assult? .. .Could it be because he was not a heavy drinker when he was younger with a tendency to become sexually agressive when drunk?
