  1. Omicron symptoms in South Africa are only mild because everyone there already has antibodies. They have either been infected by a previous variant already, or they’ve been vaccinated. At 16:00 of Dr. Been’s video it says that in the first 3 waves when the community infection rate reached 26%… https://youtu.be/3yvT3rm9GbE This means that the community infection rate exceeded 26% 3 times, which means that over 75% - 80% of the population had Covid already. Then, about 24% have been vaccinated. Over 90% of the population has antibodies. There could be some overlap between those 26% infected during each wave, but given that antibodies are very effective at preventing symptoms, there likely isn’t much overlap. Also in Oslo of the 120 infected at that party and the hotel that hosted it, none became severely ill meaning that the vaccines are very effective at preventing severe disease from Omicron. What we don’t yet know is what happens to the unvaccinated who haven’t been infected and therefore have no antibodies. I’m sure we’ll soon find out.

  14. Donavan Caton, Wrong. Vaccines are not causing the viruses to mutate. Viruses are always mutating. Vaccines are only providing selective pressure by preventing every virus that is incapable of evading the antibodies developed after vaccination. If one of those random mutations just happens to evade those antibodies, then it might start spreading. What Geert is saying is that if millions of people are exposed to the virus while their antibodies are not fully developed, there’s an increased chance of this occurring. This makes sense. Therefor it is very important that we maintain social distancing, lockdowns, and mask requirements even after we are vaccinated until the pandemic is over. Once the pandemic is over, then only a few vaccinated people will be exposed to the virus, greatly reducing the probability that the vaccine will mutate to avoid our antibodies.

Also, remember, the human safety trials were over a year ago, and even the phase 3 efficacy trial started in July last year, so over 15,000 people were vaccinated in 1 trial and over 22,000 in another trial in July and August last year. Normal vaccines trials only have 3,000 participants, so we currently have way more data than we normally do. Every year flu vaccines are developed, tested, and approved within 6 months.

What happens is people who can’t handle the virus die, and the rest get antibodies. This is called “evolution”. We are helping those who normally would with vaccines so they don’t have to die. We are using our intelligence to interfere with evolution. But some of us lack that intelligence. They choose to evolve naturally. However evolving naturally involves death.

We have about 30 million doses of AstraZeneca that we don’t need because we already have enough Pfizer and Moderna for everyone in the US.   40. Omicron is only milder in the previously infected and the vaccinated. In the immunologically naive, Omicron is just as severe as Delta. The reason the Omicron wave didn’t cause death and destruction everywhere is because about 95% of the global population was either vaccinated or previously infected before Omicron was detected. If you were part of that 5% who were immunologically naive, getting infected by Omicron was an unnecessary risk. So far over half of that 5% have been infected, but there are still some people out there who continue to be immunologically naive. These people, although a small minority, are still at increased risk of severe disease.

  49. CFS, Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, Remdesivir, and Favipiravir all work some. But none of them are a wonder cure. People who get those drugs still get sick and die. Maybe fewer of them, but we don’t know how many fewer. The vaccines are significantly more effective, and the vaccines reduce the spread of the virus, so they contribute to herd immunity.
