  14. Nothing can ever be as ridiculous - not to mention revolting - than putin's trolls intent on twisting reality in front of our eyes. As a quick search will show, Ukraine has actually rebuilt a fair bit of Bucha and other towns devastated by russian airstrikes and occupation - they have done and continue to do that while under fire. The people remaining in Mariupol and other occupied cities, towns and villages are not living in peace now: they are living under occupation, and are traumatised, persecuted and oppressed. We know all this from multiple sources, not least the people themselves, when they manage to get the information out. Ukraine, in spite of the huge economic blows deliberately dealt to it by the genocidal dictatorship you support, can afford quite a lot and has been meticulously planning for reconstruction for over a year. And this process will become more straightforward now that the frozen wealth of putin and his accomplices is finally being redirected to the country he's been unsuccessfully trying to destroy for so long, he must have forgotten why he even started. And you would think that in such a situation, and having been invaded by a much larger country stuffed with nukes, a country like Ukraine would be entitled to the "great Boost" of dozens of countries supplying you with weapons... though I would hardly describe what Ukraine has had so far as "every equipment you need in a war": if Ukraine had truly got everything they needed when they first needed it, this war would be over by now, Ukraine would be rebuilding and the world would be a much safer place than it is now. (btw I'm replying to you because I can't be bothered to reply directly to @emmaizu4406 again, since that's obviously a Z troll account)

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this, because I only heard that Starmer had revoked permission the other day on Sternenko's channel - and I believed it, because I know how meticulously that team research everything they put out. But I was confused by the fact that the BBC didn't run a piece on it, because when permission was first given by Sunak, there was a big announcement, and this development would have made waves in our national information space, particularly as the British press is busy dissecting every move Starmer makes as PM. Where did you hear about it?

I actually believe most Poles are decent people who know what's right, but there's been an amplification of Polish hate against Ukrainians recently, and I wonder if comments like yours are not in fact coming from genuinely concerned citizens but are part of a strategy to turn Poles against Ukrainians, and convince the world that Poland is no longer supporting Ukraine

  36.  @jaimerocha4791  I wasn't there! I'd met her in London, where I live, about two months before she was killed in that missile attack. I doubt anything came of that meeting, considering the Ukrainian contact was killed 😥 The Latin American guests survived with minor injuries, however, so I imagine it must be possible to contact them. I don't remember their names, but I'm sure at least one of them was named in full in BBC reports of that attack.

  39.  @jaimerocha4791  I keep meaning to put some effort into making my Italian as good as my English, which is by far my best language... I was in Spain a few months ago for the first time in my life and before I go back, I will definitely do a few weeks of Spanish for beginners because that level is probably within my reach. I want to learn Ukrainian really well, though, and it's a pretty steep climb, so most of my language work needs to go into that 🙂

Ukraine wanted and wants to join NATO because the rf had proved itself to be an existential threat to Ukraine. The only thing under threat from Ukraine's now inevitable membership of NATO is russian expansionism, and seriously, the rf has the biggest landmass in the world, they should look after it and the people who live there, instead of always be scheming to grab more from other countries. As for your second point, Ukrainian is a bilingual (in fact multilingual) nation, and russian-speaking Ukrainians are a reality - which is probably why putin has been slaughtering and deporting them in huge numbers, leading to many russian-speaking Ukrainians to switch to Ukrainian as their main language and develop a deep-rooted hatred of everything russian. As for russia being bigger and stronger, have a look at Michelangelo's David... or read "Puss in Boots"... And yes, the rf will indeed pay any price: it is plumbing the depths of depravity in a way few countries have over the course of human history, and will inevitably fragment in the near future. No one will have to break it up: they are crumbling from within, as a country and as a people. Rot will do that to any edifice.

  48. I was lucky to have this conversation with a Ukrainian person I recently met in London. I asked why pro-russian Ukrainians don't just move to russia - I mean, it's right there, they already speak the language and probably have the passport, or could get it very easily - and she replied that what they actually want is to be pro-russian in a russia-controlled Ukraine, where they imagine they would have power and all sorts of benefits. They know that in russia they'd be treated like dirt. Because they're Ukrainians. 🤬
