This war has many political dimensions - I might like to hear about the political situations in other counties as well, not just in the west, but in the rest of the world, because it does have import. Your point is well taken (and others have made it as well) that this should not turn into a bash-the-right forum, which would turn this whole discussion into a monkey-5hit flinging contest.

  14. But it's a regular part of Jake's format. It's helpful and informative to see what the Russians are being told on their tvs. Some of their commentators are becoming quite well know to us. Just remember - Olga is the butch one; Margarita is the ugly one.

  17. I hope there's some good commentary from Solovyov, or Simonyan, or Skabeyeva, about the parade. The Russian propagandists are always my favorite segment of Jake's show. Also, if they make any more of those great recruitment commercials, the ones indicating that your 5hitty life in Russia can best be improved by signing up for the SMO, I would enjoy those too!

  21. Lukashenko likes the SUPPORT he gets from Russia (without which he would be jobless), and Putin likes the fact that ONE former Soviet Republic answers to him. Beyond that, I don't think there is any love lost between the two. It would be nice (but surely too much to ask) if the Belarussians picked Victory Day to depose Lukashenko, put him on a bus, and drop him off at the Russian border.
