  9. What a beautiful video. Thanks so much for sharing. What starts out as being something of a nuisance (getting frozen in when you need to be moving) ends up as being such a beautiful experience, getting to see the goldeneye among all the other things. What we need to remember is that we are in exactly the place where we are meant to be at any time!

  12. For you there seems to be no question. You are suited to narrowboat life. You keep fit, get to view all the wildlife... Of course, there are advantages to living in a house but they are outweighed by those of living on a boat. I say - carry on doing so as long as you can!

  45. How lovely to see your video of Hebden Bridge. Back in the 60s I and my friends used to hike (and hitch-hike) around the area. From memory, Hebden Bridge was a quiet little village then. It's so sad to see Sylvia Plath's grave. A sad end for someone who had mental health issues.

  46. Thanks for a great video - as always. Regarding the deodorant - I haven't bought any for years but I bypass a lot of your steps. I simply shake a little bicarbonate of soda onto a damp cloth and apply. Works wonderfully well. The big hike in the cost of living as a continuous cruiser is going to force some people off the canals, thus reducing the income for the CRT. In turn, this will mean fewer services and care for the canals, locks and so on. Downward spiral. I really hope that pressure can be brought on the "powers that be" that make these decisions without a thought for the results to people's lives or to flora and fauna. This is one of those discussions that can go on forever!
