The base on Cape Cod, or wherever they go next, is more suitable; there didn't seem to be the right infrastructure on the island for them to wait while their applications get processed (which can take a long time). The migrants weren't being kicked out. The islanders helped, and then the state (with a GOP Governor) stepped in. That's been made clear, although it's not getting through to Fox & co.

  31.  @michaels5222  Embryos aren't children. There's no harm in not being born. If there's any correlation between legality/availability of abortion and crime, it's the opposite of what you claim. There's a debate about whether or not Roe V. Wade contributed to the Great Crime Decline that began in the 1990s and is mostly still with us. The removal of lead from gasoline played a much larger role, but it's interesting all the same.
