Besides that, this trend isn't so bad when one realizes that we as a species need fewer of us, or these predictions about the turn of the century will be moot, as the earth will otherwise be uninhabitable.

  20.  @your_belief_vs_everything  Why would they chase him, jump on the truck, etc.? He was driving through the crowd, pushing people (which makes it extremely difficult to jump to one side). They were trying to stop him from running over anyone. There was no reason to just attack a vehicle.

I've been in plenty of marches (and apolitical activities like Bike Party) in which "corking" an intersection for one cycle is a necessity. It's not the end of the world. This hothead tried to drive through the crowd, and they were trying to get him to stop as he was pushing people ahead of him. It's all that they could do to stay on their feet; it's no small thing to jump to one side!

  26. That's where Antifa got their name, as they battled the Nazis in the streets. Similar processes played out in several other countries. In the UK, they defeated Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists. I suppose that there was a similar success in Switzerland, as the Nazi Party there couldn't get off the ground.

To be perfectly accurate, there is no foreign military that could possibly take away freedom in the continental US (mostly due to geography), US imperialism kills lots of babies and people of all ages, and large standing militaries are, if anything, a threat to freedom. Then again, these days I often wonder about a coup.

Nobody was just marching past vehicles and deciding to assault them. There's no reason for the driver to put anyone's life at risk.
