Congratulations Ensign.👨✈️

They win the Guadalcanal home game....😏
7
300 Drydocks?498,000 subs?😳🎉 Quite the achievement for a channel that has zero cat videos🐱, tik Tok challenges or dress Hauls from Fashion Nova💃 or a single yoga pose.🧘♀️
7
There are far, far , far worse films...... "Francis in The Navy" has to be worse.
7
@MotoroidARFC based on Biden's picks so far? Don't have much faith in a Sec Nav pick.
7
JESUS H..... Stop your whining. Buy a headphone.
7
I think I still got the textbook for that? They didn't want to give me anything for the trade.📚
6
Many were used on land-based duty in the Mediterranean.
6
A dust pan and a pump? Where were you going pump water too? Was there a drain?
6
@Aren-1997 Actually 1941 is great movie. It did not do better due to timming, not content. It got released the same week as Steve Martin's "the Jerk" and week after "Star Trek the Movie."
6
chris younts You're pushing into the ranting zone. And the Iowa reactivation was a good move strategically and economically.
6
@johnstark4723 The drydocks at the Navy Yard are only a 3 miles tow away. They would need to dredge a path to the main channel. Once at the drydocks, they can fix the hull.
6
@philipjooste9075 Joint operations have never been a strong suit of the US military. As for the convoy? This was just one part of a mass force build up. Sadly timed badly. Then orders changed and the convoy sent to Australia instead. As for the defense of the Philippines? The story is a bit more complicated than the anti MacArthur mob make it. https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/AAF/I/AAF-I-6.html

@Ushio01 the Phantom in 1982 was still state of the art. And in fact was still on active duty in several Air forces today.
6
@sadwingsraging3044 Actually.....I would think the Nuclear power Navy sees more mileage. We have subs and CVN's with longer lives than Texas.
6
And that's where The Colt Navy gets it's name and engraving from.
6
Yes
6
@boobah5643 if you're asking about the Queen Elizabeth-class? Basically, you're splitting the functions navigation and Air traffic control. For each operation, you better want to be in different locations. Air traffic control and spotting is better done aft. The ship handling is better done at a position forward.
6
Since you asked. They were no Victoria Crosses awarded for the battle. The victorious captains and Admiral were given knighthoods.
6
😅
6
Perhaps it is better to say: a era of technology and tactics evolution?
6
@Mike44460 The Emperor was in no more head of Government, than the King of England.
6
@exsubmariner yes, the US Army Air Force what's established in 1941 from the old Air Corps. And continued as the Army Air Force until the defense act in 1947.
6
Find 'em, Chase 'em, Sink'em......😐 Mad respect to the USS Tang and 51 sisters still on Eternal Patrol.
6
Sigh.... 🥱 You realize YouTube is not the campus of Columbia? Could we skip the protest marches here please?
6
Versus Mitscher's ....
6
@petlahk4119 Today foam is the material of choice.
6
@UnintentionalSubmarine That is leftover powder bag debris.
6
More like the Duras sisters of Star Trek.😉
6
🏆 there you go. Enjoy!
6
@wildkarrde3370 The old sunken ships were not exposed to the air of the atomic age,” said the source. This old metal is recycled and used to manufacture instruments used in medicine, light and radioactivity detection, and space exploration.
6
Combined with the war on land, the Kaiser would have faced the fate of his cousin in Russia.
6
Who is that?
6
I think I speak for most on the channel and the Navy. We respectfully agree to disagree with your opinion.
6
Sadly Millions were inbezeled from the Museum about 10 years ago.
6
@YUriPup the Dutch apparently adopted it from a Mohawk word. "SKAHNEHTAI", Meaning, "beyond the Pines."
6
@3Triskellion3 The were originally called, "Torpedo Boat Destroyers."
6
@charlesbaker7703 Actually when he comes to the East Coast he can see the real thing. The original hangers at NAS Lakehurst, NJ are still there. As well as a memorial to the Hindenburg. It's part of the joint base complex of Ft. Dix, AFB McGuire and NAS Lakehurst.
6
Logistically, easier to do water purification on land. Rather than haul it from ship.
6
Steve, sometimes it is not wise to post your thoughts. This is one of those days.
6
That guy will eat anything...
6
@Drachinifel Will you be doing any videos on the Sub attack at Pearl? 🤔
6
@RedbadofFrisia Dad is in the living room next to Mom actually. Ashes 🙄
6
Blame Samuel Morrison..... He slanted the history.
6
The story of the 109 happens with the reformed Squadron 3. in the Solomon Islands a few months later. The Orginal unit was dissolved with the fall of the Philippines in April, 1942. So new unit, new location.
6
Funny you have to bring up tsunamis as a first question. I just happened to have stumbled over a YouTube post talking about threat of a Atlantic tsunami hitting the US East Coast. Apparently, the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands is at risk of undergoing a large Landslide ; which would cause a tsunami in the Atlantic.
6
Johnny Horton made naval warfare cool.
6
@mechizawa I love ships, I love anime. I love girls. But mixing them all together just seems odd. 🤔
6
@NotAJollyPotato Ha ha ha..... a no. 😏 It's a nice bumper sticker, but bad economics. Any if you think Liz Warren's numbers work, you're delusional. You could take the wealth 100% of the richest and still not fund our debt today.
