It is a really strange position the regime in Washington is taking on this issue. On one side talking about how aid needs to be sent to the people of Gaza. Then on the other shipping over the bombs who are blowing these people up. Who do they really think they're fooling?
68
@aripr6 Because America wouldn't need to continue taking actions which destroys it's reputation worldwide. It wouldn't need to fight constant wars which cost the American economy hundreds of billions of dollars sometimes trillions. That is how. Also you say you're an Israeli. I must ask how it feels to be a citizen of the only colonial apartheid state on the planet.
42
@soulessdeeds it is really sad what you guys had to go through over there. But the psychos in charge don't see that war as pointless. All their friends and financiers got rich. My generation was of fighting age at the time, a lot of my friends signed up to go fight. I remember being one of the few at the time who was completely against that invasion and everyone at the time used to claim I was not patriotic and didn't love our boys in uniform. My point was simple, I am against this war because I love you guys and I don't want you to go over there and potentially ruin your lives over some demonstrable BS the white house is spewing. My arguments never worked, I lost a lot of friends over this at the time. Some I lost for good because they simply never made it home. :O( It breaks my heart what happen to a lot of you guys over there. And to add insult to injury, how poorly the fellas with serious injuries were taken care of when you came home. People are patriotic sending you off to war but they lose all patriotism when you get home. That conflict really changed a lot of us, it really changed me. I was never really able to trust anything the media pushed after that nor did I believe anything coming out of the white house as to why we have to do XYZ overseas. I'm sure millions feel as I do now.
34
@ShaneHackworth-em1qq The establishment will never allow it :O( They'll go after him just like they went after Trump, I'm not sure if Rand can survive that like Donald did.
28
Their position is so ridiculous that even the arguments come off like a spoof or a circus act.
21
International law says they don't.
17
@allan339 To be fair if someone found a tweet of mine from years ago and showed it to me or quoted it. I'd probably remember it. Most people would, at least those not below average IQ.
13
@IOANNOU28 The type of barbarism in Greece where migrants are beaten, robbed and thrown in the ocean? Is that the type of "barbarism" you're referring to?
9
A politician with a ton of money stuffed in his pockets hurts everyone no? Well aside from the people who are stuffing the money in his pocket.
8
Yup then if something there goes wrong, these Senator's know they're on the hook for it.
7
Very brave indeed when he is more interested in lobbying dollars in his pocket than an actual foreign policy in the interests of the country. Man if only everyone could be brave enough to stuff money into their pockets from foreign interest groups.
7
@lauracoussens6207 That isn't true, demonstrably so. Rand was talking about the troops we have in Syria. The Syrian government has asked us to leave 100s of times. We just refuse to. The Syrian government has not invited us onto their territory, we just invited ourselves. Which incase anyone didn't know is a breach of international law. But we do it anyway and for reasons no one is able to fully explain.
6
@Angus3963. That is one thing I simply cannot stand. We sure as hell know how to cheer our boys on as we sent them off to war. But we don't seem to want to take care of them when they get home from the war. It is disgusting. I'm mostly a non interventionist unless our critical interests are at stake. I wasn't a fan of the Iraq or Afghanistan wars, not a fan of the proxy war in Ukraine or destroying Libya. But regardless of how you feel about these conflicts, everyone can admit that we have to take care of our boys when they get home, that should be non negotiable. These stories of these young men killing themselves breaks my heart. We as a society have failed them :O(
6
Steve A Yea there is that too but at least they aren't beating them and robbing them first like in Greece
4
So you're saying politicians shouldn't be interested in their interests of their people but chase foreign money being stuffed into their pockets? Is that what politicians are supposed to do in your opinion?
4
@aripr6 So you're blaming starving people for others starving as well. Zero guilt on the part of the people who stuffed them into that concentration camp, are going out of their way to kill as many civilians as possible and threatening all the routes that aid and food can get it. Your argument is pure and utter insanity. You're literally making your side of the debate look 100x worse by making these insane claims.
4
@giorgosanthopoulos6197 No one is claiming he is corrupted because he isn't poor. Not sure anyone made that claim. The claim was his pockets are being filled by foreign interest groups to say what he is saying. If he shilled this hard for Turkey, then yes I'd claim he was paid off by them too. There comes a point where it's all too obvious when someone has been paid off and is shilling hard for a cause which has nothing to do with the interests of the nation he serves.
4
@IOANNOU28 You're still trolling here?
4
@ΤακηςΔημητριου-ξ7σ Telling me to go to sleep isn't going to change the reality of the situation. Especially that earlier guy who had the audacity to scream barbarism when he is from a country with extreme barbaric tendencies himself. Hypocrisy at it's finest.
3
@IOANNOU28 You need to turn the news on more about how corrupt the EU parliament is. I don't present arguments, I just destroy the ridiculous ones you make. it's too easy.
3
@MyJamesey123. Because we're idiots and we allowed this to happen? It is too late now, they're far too entrenched.
3
@Chrishansen999 I don't think anyone is blaming the service men and women for this insane policy over the last 20 years. They were given a task and they did that task to the best of their abilities. The issue is the people making the policy which put them in harms way. This 20 year occupation did the American tax payer no favors, it did the service men no favors and it did Afghanistan no favors.
3
@joewiediger2737 If enough people raise their voices this insanity will stop immediately. But that is the problem, not enough people care or even pay attention. Hell what percentage of our population even knows that we have 900 soldiers sitting in Syria for no reason other than the fact they're being used as bait or a trip wire to spark a war. I'm sorry but that turns my stomach, all 900 of those soldiers have families, the fact they're seen as expendable like this insane. But that is where we are and we can't seem to do anything about it :O(
3
@Faux Que, You're not far off. Obama wanted them to put on a dress and dance for him. They said no and he punished them for it.
3
@Mitch Mills, it's too late my man. Democracy in America is DEAD. People woke up far too late.
3
@rayma6173 I am so sorry for your loss. 😢
3
@IOANNOU28 Calling me a kid won't change the insanity you've been spouting here. Don't forget this isn't the echo chamber you're used to. If you say something insane, people here will point it out.
3
Our constitutional rights have been a joke for a very long time now. We no longer live in a nation where the rule of law runs supreme. We're literally run like a third world country, except we're rich. Wonder how long that rich part will last when the rule of law has broken down.
2
@SpirosMargelis So the fact disputes go back 50 years makes it implausible to be poking your neighbor in the eye? Is that your argument here?
2
@SpirosMargelis 1. Using islands as weapons against your neighbor is not always a good policy. Few nations would do it. England didn't do it to France. So yes, doing that is poking your neighbor in the eye, especially when you break military treaties which is dangerous for any nation. 2. Yes I'm well aware of the history of this problem and the delusions of both sides. If this continues it's fairly obvious how this is going to end for both nations.
2
@fairjust8072 My comment was sarcastic in nature. Obvious this guy is corrupt to the gilles.
2
In the new America it depends on who you're slandering.
2
Considering all the insanity going on over there right now. I pray your grandson stay safe. Like you I fail to see how troops in a place like Jordan serve our interests in any way, shape or form.
2
@V These days the most unpopular guy in any room is the guy who tells the truth.
2
@Chrishansen999 I absolutely 100% agree with that statement. It's a tactic as old as politics itself. The military's job is to fight and win wars. For a long time now we've been putting them into policing situations, situations they weren't built for. Setting them up for failure and then blaming them for it. It's a terrible situation all around, the biggest victims are the nations we occupy, the second biggest victims are our service men and women, the third victim is the American tax payer. Who wins? Well you know.
2
@TylerEL Orban has been spitting facts in the face of the EU for a long long time
2
@Blah Blah Blah, none of them will be held accountable. The only people injured will be those trying to expose them.
2
I don't think anyone is smart enough to be able to cover up the crimes of this administration.
2
@Todd W, I'm not so sure they're dumb. They seem to be smart enough working together to make us believe things which simply aren't true.
2
@IOANNOU28 You simply cannot make claims which make absolutely no sense and then scream critical thinking.
2
@SpirosMargelis Speaking of typical responses. Imagine poking your neighbor in the eye over and over and over again and then expecting my country with it's tax dollars to defend you? This strategy might work for a while because we have insane globalists in charge who never shy away from a good conflict and the money it can garner. That won't last forever and a time might come when your neighbor who's eye you've been poking might knock on your door and start asking questions.
1
@SpirosMargelis That still has nothing to do with how dangerous it is when you break military treaties you've signed. This goes for any country. Yes a war would be catastrophic. Greece will be destroyed physically and Turkey will be destroyed economically. Both nations probably won't be able to recover for another 50 years. The globalists will be happy though.. This is why I'm calling Greece Ukraine 2.0. And this Micotakis guy is the next Zelenski.
1
@SpirosMargelis Make no mistake both countries will be destroyed. If the Turks think they can come out of this without their entire economy being thrown into the dark ages they're delusional. If the Greeks think they can resist the Turks militarily they're delusional. Unless third nations intervene directly (which we both know they won't) Greece will take a pounding and a lot of innocent people will die. I do agree with you that Russia had no choice but to act in Ukraine. Essentially Nato used Ukraine to continually poke Russia in the eye. So Russia reacted. Ukraine was the sacrificial lamb in this equation. What I'm telling you is Greece might end up as a sacrificial lamb as well.
1
@SpirosMargelis I honestly believe the only "hell" they'll be receiving is full sanctions which will throw them back into the stone ages. The idea that the Greek military can "give them hell" is a fantasy. The imbalance is far too great, not only in numbers but in technology. Not to mention they're not as beholdened as Greece to receiving outside supply for things such as ammunition. It's not a fair fight, especially when you take geography into account. The Turks are delusional too when they claim they can walk into Athens. That is literally impossible. They can't go through the land corridor as it's mountainous and easy to defend. Nor can they go through the sea as they don't have the logistics to mount that sort of Normany type beach landings (the only nation on this planet who can do that is America.) But they can EASILY take all the islands in the Aegean without much hassle. In fact the Greek navy probably won't even venture out there to defend. Not to mention the Turks can bombard the Greek mainland with ease where as the Greeks can't bombard the Turkish mainland with much effectiveness. Like I said both nations will be destroyed. One physically one economically. Both will be fuked. Their best bet is to sit down and hammer out an agreement where neither side gets everything they want but both get something they can work with. Hell it's better than both being destroyed no?
1
@SpirosMargelis Yes you're right and it is delusional for the Turks to assume they can stroll into Athens, I explained earlier why it's not possible. But again it's just as delusional for the Greeks to assume they can defend those islands so far from their mainland, it's simply not possible. So again it makes sense to negotiate a settlement in which both parties get something because the current situation will bring about a war. If you follow events Erdogan broke ties with Micotakis because after the two spoke and decided to solve their issues bilatterally without bringing in 3rd parties, not one week later Micotakis went back on his word and flew to Washington for support. You have to admit that is a pretty duplicitious way to conduct foreign relations.
1
Steve A Are you calling for the invasion of a country where millions will die? Is that the point you're making?
1
Ευαγγελος Αγγελος Imagine being so caught up in your own dogma that anyone who doesn't believe in your insanity must be from X ethnic group. I saw this crazy Greek dude do the same thing to an Indian earlier in this comments section lol Yes yes, Turks are everywhere lol
1
@IOANNOU28 So essentially you're more interested in the identity of the messenger rather than the messenger? Why? is it because you can't debate the message but would rather stick to adhoc attacks on identity? That is very weak. Also did you literally just say EU Parliament reports? Come on bro, you can't be serious. I think every now knows that is one of the most corrupt organizations on the planet. Please come with something better. Fact of the matter is that within your own dogma you don't realize the globalists are pushing you guys to be the next Ukraine. Completely destroyed and ruined so fat cat arms dealers can get rich. The fact you're using their talking points trying to drag your country into a war is surreal. I might be a better friend to you and yours than you realize.
1
@IOANNOU28 Oh and incase you're really that curious about my nationality. Big hint, I'm from a country your country has been begging to protect it. Which we really won't do if sh!t hits the fan. We'll watch you get pummeled while sending you weapons that won't save you. Aka Ukraine style.
1
The UK is a vassal state. It won't really matter if you had a leader like this or not. He'd simply have to do as he is told by a foreign power anyway.
