It's just matter of semantics. The US follows common law, a form of parliamentary supremacy, and constitutional rights that all originated in England.
The rights to fair trials, free speech, ownership of guns, private property, rule of law, and democratic government were originally between English Kings and British subjects.
We have a codified constitution that went into effect in 1789, but just like our language, it was "Made in England."
The Queen would be the symbolic, and living, equivalent of the US Constitution. Her role is to not be a tyrant, act on the advice of ministers, and uphold the agreement between the King and his subjects.
It could seem like a "rubber stamp," but the Queen in her official capacity is required to legally administer government and pass legislation.
