I don't always agree with David Pakman and share his opinion, but @ [ 2:15 ], I strongly disagree with him. Walker isn't "playing dumb." He comes off as very authentic.
1
He's not a flight risk, and actually he's probably the most secured criminal suspect not already incarcerated. As former president, he's got 24hr security detail made up of federal law enforcement officers. He can be immediately detained if an arrest warrant is issue by a state of federal court. The Secret Service agents aren't above the law either and still report to the Biden Administration and the local federal court district.
1
He wasn't insane with a coup conspiracy and fake electors scheme.
1
It would probably be more shocking and worthy of international news coverage if Trump got caught telling the truth to a judge.
1
That sounds like another confession. Trump was the head of the federal government and US president on January 6, 2021. He also ran the government and refused to retaliate against Beijing when Dr. Fauci allegedly conspired with the CCP to release Covid-19 on the world as an act of war. Regardless of the lies about the "Deep State" working against the Trump Administration and other right-wing conspiracy theories, it makes no sense to nominate a politician who openly admits to losing control of his own government. President Truman never said, "The buck stops with that nasty Postmaster General appointed by President Hoover and is mean and doesn't like me."
1
What happened to Pakman?
1
Deplorable victims.
1
Both Trump and Ye are aware of how to attract negative media coverage. They leak these "accidental" interactions to give Ye some Maga cred with the far-Reich. Ye is just their latest self-hating minority that can use white supremacist and anti-Semitic talking points before conveniently returning to being Black when after getting cancelled.
1
That's the reason we need to open the borders and make it nearly impossible for far-Reich and ultra-nationalist from seizing power (like they attempted to do on 1/6/21).
1
Had he only been a sane and moderately corrupt politician, who at least made an attempt at peacefully transferring power, then the option of a presidential pardon, reprieve, immunity deal, and executive clemency would have been a possibility. I don't see that happening in the New York AG's Office, Manhattan DA's Office, DOJ, or the Fulton County DA. It would probably be political suicide for anyone in the administration or elected prosecutors to even consider it as a possibility.
1
To Whatever Parasite Eating Trump's Brain Cells: Damnit, guys! We don't have all day.
1
That's believable and credible on its face. I don't see a reason to doubt it.
1
@MISTER23G02xx I think you're confusing it with Lawrence v. Texas ("Lawrence") with the marriage equality ruling that legalized gay marriage. The difference is when the court expands constitutional rights to individuals and then takes them away. The sodomy laws invalidated only applied to gays. There was another sodomy case, Bowers v. Hardwick, during 1980s at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic that affirmed the state's right to regulate sodomy. In 2003, the Lawrence ruling prohibited states from enforcing the laws. Is that the settled law you're talking about?
1
@MISTER23G02xx That could be the case. I'd have to check them.
1
@georgespinks1 Don't feed the incel garbage disposals online.
1
Never underestimate the stupidity of the FL electorate. There could have been 33,000 FL Democrats who switched parties after seeing DeSantis' indifference to the mass deaths of GOP voters.
1
They call CNN "First-Amendment hating commies," and call ANTIFA, "the real fascist." This is what happens in a post-truth world.
1
@userunknown1030 Huh? Are you allergic to punctuation?
1
We'd need some tougher prosecutors to scare the fascist.
1
Tonight, I might get overwhelmed thinking about the historical and political significance of this moment and just start crying and weeping. I don't care about being embarrassed. This will be like V-E Day in 1945, except this time the fascist is announcing the beginning of his campaign.
1
The US-healthcare system is too complicated, but cancer, disability, and coronavirus-related treatments and prevention is free. The reason healthcare isn't "universal" is because we have an insurance and medical-billing lobby that profits from sending out bills that will never be paid, and will eventually be covered by the government.
1
@ricardocabeza6006 Why would they need to when Roe vs. Wade has been legal precedent for fifty years? Other than Washington DC, military bases, and federal hospitals, the states regulate healthcare procedures, so there'd have to be a way to connect abortion to federal interests. The closest program would be VA and Medicaid grants.
1
@ricardocabeza6006 I don't think you're getting my position. There was no reason for Congress to codify abortion rights as long as Roe existed The Supreme Court ruling made it a constitutional right. That would be like Congress passing a redundant freedom of speech protection. Congress, like the rest of us, didn't expect the Supreme Court would reverse precedent. Even when Separate But Equal was law, an Act of Congress wouldn't have changed it. Congress isn't the same as British Parliament. It has powers that can be checked, too. If the court rules a law is unconstitutional, only an amendment or Supreme Court reverse of precedent can undue it.
1
@ricardocabeza6006 I'm assuming that's an academic question since I haven't given a personal opinion about any laws. The original Civil Rights Act was passed shortly after the passage of the 13 and 14 Amendment in the 1800s (Civil War). Part of the 14 Amendment included a clause empowering Congress to add protected classes of people to override state law. The Civil Rights and Voting Rights from the 1960s were passed to expand the powers of Congress because Jim Crow, lynchings, hate crimes, and segregation laws. A new federal law to protect abortion rights wasn't needed after Roe vs Wade. The Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage also never required a federal law protecting the right to gay marriage or enacting and new rights. That could change since the court changed legal precedent, but it's redundant to pass a new law protecting a right protected by the constitution. I haven't said whether or not I personally agree with a proposed law. I'm just saying there has to be a reason for Congress to consider passing a new law. The 1960s Civil Rights and Voting Rights required a new law from Congress, and so did the American with Disabilities, which was needed primarily to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Now that it appears that the court will overturn Roe, there won't be a nationwide right to have an abortion. Before the Supreme Court leak, there wasn't a need for a law.

DeSantis and the Never-Trump GOP have a platform that liberals might hate, but compared to No. 45, DeSantis seems sane and normal. Trump was an intentionally evil Twitter troll, openly corrupt, incompetent, and still leads a cult of fascist, who don't believe in democracy and will attack the Capitol for any reason. DeSantis is a Bush/Reagan type of Republican, and he wouldn't openly support a civil war and/or insurrection.
1
Is Bill O'Reilly okay? It may be that I haven't watched him or followed his post-FOXNEWS media career and forgot his voice, but he sounds exhausted and ready to retire. This is how tired Sean Spicer would have sounded had he served two consecutive Trump Administrations as White House Press Secretary.
1
If we trash the constitution, doesn't that means Biden can just lock him up Putin style and without a special counsel and trial? This is one of the rare occasions when I agree with Trump because the best way to say the constitution could be to temporarily get rid of it to make Trump go away.
1
They don't live in an alternate reality like Trump and his cult. There's a huge difference.
1
He probably just doesn't know and didn't do his due diligence and research. His point and motivation could have been to stress that heterosexuals are still an impacted risk group. I doubt he's trying to be political correct and not offend the gay community.
1
So does Trump.
1
I agree that MTG has big balls, too. He look likes a wrestler from the 1990s.
1
That's like Dave Rubin blamed the Left for forcing his Right-wing viewers to post bigoted and homophobic comments after his baby announcement.
1
Would you rather have her a Secretary of Transportation, so she can replace Pete Buttigieg and take over the FAA and transportation infrastructure spending?
1
You'd think the GOP would have been aware of Trump's baggage and toxicity after he lost the popular votes in 2016 and 2020, and lost control of both houses of Congress in 2018 and 2020.
1
It would be like House Democrats boasting about having the largest percentage of Southern White males without college degrees in the party and considering it a historic accomplishment of diversity.
1
I think it's ALSO dangerous to support political extremists on the Left, but the Democrats are without a radical, cult-like, and White nationalist wing that keeps the party in line. There are MAGA brown shirts in the streets giving idle threats that ONLY intimidates the Republican establishment, but the Left really doesn't have an answer to that. The anti-fascist groups, BLM, and movements in support of Left-of-center causes won't have criminal elements that can be traced back to national leadership. The DNC isn't perfect, but it's hasn't become infiltrated with organized criminals, like the MAGA-led GOP, which has become nearly as corrupt as the Russian government. There still should be grassroots supporters to counter the MAGA fascist that are trying to eliminate American democracy.
1
Trump and the GOP won the [🏳️🌈] vote @ [ 2:04 ].
1
@jonathanperry8331 "They" in a typical GOP politician's speech could have a number of different meanings since politicians tend to speak in code words and dog whistles; e.g., If the pronoun "they" references a topic and subject similar to, “[they] pulled [themselves] up by [their] bootstraps,” or "[they] are independent and free thinkers," then it means a Black Trump Voter. If the conversation has a dog whistle about a person "leaving the Democratic plantation," then it's almost certainly a socially liberal Black person, who isn't a conservative Republican and only changed parties to vote for Trump.
1
Once he finds out that MTG isn't really The Ultimate Warrior in drag, the sex internship is over.
1
Have you notice the remedy is always to restrict access and make it harder to vote? If there were a massive criminal conspiracy and election fraud, you'd think they'd want to prosecute the perpetrators. All the "suspects" they've identified have pending and/or potential defamation and slander tort cases and perpetrators of the Big Lie.
1
@craftyladies7777 People have known that since the Great Depression was worsened by tariffs, the fed cutting the monetary supply, and protectionist policies initialed by the US. There's plenty historical lessons of why the US abandoned isolationism, high tariffs, and is the founding member of most of the international organizations and military alliances that the MAGA movement wrongfully believes are philanthropic organizations and American charities giving US taxpayer money to the world.
1
You did the MAGA crowd dirty with that video title.
1
The only way to stop a vindictive and politically motivated prosecution of the Bidens, Clintons, Obamas, and other Democrats and media figures will be to use the pardon and executive clemency powers at the federal and state level. That would remove all the legal uncertainty, which is clearly bothering the far-Reich.
1
Maybe it's because I'm from the south, but this is the LEAST nutty and mentally ill footage I've watched from Trump supporters and GOP voters. I didn't hear a single individual make a comment. This looks like a church service and a fundraising event with a live band. I do find it concerning that they've apparently blended conspiracy theories, political cults, and religion. When there's money to be raised, Trump and his family will find away to take every penny from the MAGA cultist and Q-followers.
1
Whoever names his Trump-related videos and rallies has to be on the Kremlin's most wanted list.
1
He lost the popular votes both times. The electoral college didn't save him this past time.
1
I'm Christian, but I'd put Bill Maher (or another qualified atheist) in charge of government before that idiot extremist. She's not even passable as a conservative and would destroy both the state and the church because she worships Trump, not Jesus.
1
@fgk765jkh I'm a lawyer, Mr. MAGA voter with a 6th Grade Education, and this has been known to most of the world since Michael Cohen was indicted. Would like to see the charging documents that are publicly available, and the video interview from the Asst. US Attorney who explained why Trump wasn't indicted? You might be passionately supportive of Trump, but facts and law aren't your expertise. You're confusing the NYAG civil case and the Manhattan AD charge of the Trump Org with the SDNY case when Trump was the unindicted co-conspirator while he was president.
1
@fgk765jkh You probably think MSNBC are socialist, but this is the case you're confused about. https://youtu.be/YB9MMeIVono
1
@fgk765jkh Shut up. You're dumb and insane. Go away.
