Me too!

We have this in Detroit and all the liberals can focus on is illegal immigrants pouring over the southern border from Guatemala. Nobody gives a damn about these people, especially democrats. What did Obama do in 8 years? Nothing!
6
Only jobs will do that.
5
They did go through war. Economic war. That's the mot destructive kind.
5
It's astonishing to think Detroit's economy was once robust enough to support these neighborhoods. It shows how much has been lost. All the time, money and work that went into building them just to have it come to this? What a tragedy. I'm surprised at how close together many of them are, even the big brick and stucco places. A person could look right into a neighbor's house any time.
5
I was thinking the same thing.
5
Not much holiday cheer around, is there? Blame bad management on the part of GM for a lot of this. Incredible someone's rebuilding that burned out house at the beginning of the video. Other places that are fixed up are still in the middle of junk. Most roads are terrible. Depressing, to say the least.
5
Absolutely!
5
Terrible management will do it every time. It's noteworthy that much of that management was black. I understand the school board is really corrupt.
5
It's nice of him to bet hell out of his vehicle to make these videos.
5
With no effort by anyone to clean it up.
5
Bad, but nothing like Detroit.
5
It looks like 5th Avenue during the Gilded Age compared to Detroit.
5
@shreyank6495 Decline of the auto industry in earnest in the 1980s under Roger Smith, CEO at GM. But he walked away with millions.
5
Would a white person be safe walking these streets at night? If a black man walks an all white neighborhood nobody bothers him.
5
Bad management on the part of the auto industry has to be a major contributing factor in creating this wasteland. Surely something could have been done to prevent this happening to a city.
5
Darryl: The black man keeps voting for them! I'm hoping maybe they're starting to wise up to that.
5
Maple: That's why he got a record turn out for the black vote? Where did you hear that bullshit? Get real.
5
Interesting there are still homes like this in Detroit and people who can afford to maintain them. One problem I see is some are too close to one another. Homes like the ones in the beginning of the video should have more space around them. Homes in the second part of the video were once just as nice, but a bit smaller. What a prosperous place Detroit must have been at one time before we let it all slip away.
5
Build housng for the black man and he destroys it. Look at all the trash and boarded up windows. They they complain about their living conditions.
5
Friends of mine have lived in Brooklyn their entire lives. They refuse to leave. It's been going downhill since 1957 when the Dodgers left, but many hang on. I've heard some parts are so bad you're not safe to drive through in your car. Other areas are still very nice. Mill Basin?
5
Good luck collecting that.
5
I'm sure!
5
Joe: Good name! I'll remember that! :-)
5
If it isn't covered with trash it's covered with graffiti. What a mess people make of things. I've been to Philadelphia a number of times, for business only. I have no plans to ever go back.
5
What happened to this place hat was the economic base at one time which is now obviously gone.
5
"All my Exes live in Texas. That's why I stay in Tennessee." 🙂
5
Why are there no cops around?
5
Pretty seedy but not as bad as Detroit. I think the motor city still takes the prize. This is America today? Where's Barack Obama?
5
I hate seeing stray cats in these neighborhoods. They do show up once in a while. I saw one sitting in the doorway of an abandoned building in E. Cleveland. Very sad.
5
Nice guy.
5
Obama has done nothing for the black man yet you all voted for him - twice. And then Hillary!
4
8 years of Barak Obama and this is hat Detroit still looks like? This was 2015, right int he middle of Obama's second term.
4
Yes, Iv'e heard about Devil's Night. It's also called Mischief Night. It's ignorance and an excuse to justify vandalism, stupidity and lack of respect for other people's property. No wonder the town looks like this. It seems Devil's Night goes on 365 days a year in Detroit.
4
There must have been some prosperity in this area at one time which resulted in the construction of all these homes. What happened?
4
What was the blocked off street with all the police activity? A murder scene?
4
Yes, but when's that going to happen?
4
Overall doesn't look too bad.A fair amount of litter thrown around Occupants are the usual color.
4
Not as bad as Detroit.
4
How industry and government could allow this to happen is inexcusable. I notice so many homes renovated and lived in surrounded by derelicts what should be tear downs. And the condition of the roads! Poor drainage, potholes everywhere. No place in America should look like this.
4
And doors locked.
4
But a black man can ride through a white neighborhood and no one will bother him.
4
Detroit 2.0. Houses around those still maintained should be torn down and the land donated to those who kept up their houses an didn't leave.
4
This was 2 years ago. Have things improved any since then? I see some homes are still lived n and kept up.
4
@meta_wav That's not what I've seen, but OK.
4
I've always been puzzled at how close together the homes were built. Many renovated places now have a lot of open space aroudn them.
4
@Mis_con_strued Detroit lost its industry and most of the good jobs that kept your old neighborhood going. When the money goes, so does the environment. Bad management at GM, Ford and Chrysler is largely to blame. Unreasonable demands from Unions, too.
4
Lots of stray dogs.
4
Nr. Positive: Yes, it certainly appears that way. Of course, if they were truly on top of things, the trash wouldn't pile up in the first place.
4
That's for sure. This place never had what Detroit once did
