He can manage the tent city in San Francisco.

The best point Alexander made is that Kremlin will not want to operate their bases in an unstable environment, especially when it gives Turkey leverage over Russia that would last forever.
6
It would make sense for Russians to push westward soon, before Ukraine receives greater military resources and is able to harden defensive sites west of the current front lines.
6
@youcancallmejames Just do a Google search on that word. It's better than me trying to explain it.
6
Russia has already been employing North Koreans for production jobs in the Vladivostok area for years. And Central Asian workers have been employed in many parts of Russia for decades, including in Moscow. As some workers are unwilling to leave their home countries, Russia could move production facilities into Central Asian states like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, or even Mongolia.

I like this idea. I am trying to visualize how this could be performed.

Alex said the Russians occupied some high ground, but omitted that they also lay claim to moral high ground.
5
Cleverly is acting stupidly.

Cares about incoming faith of peace travelers more?

Zelensky would rather have a Brazilian bikini wax than the Brazilian peace proposal.

Twice you said Verbose. Are you sure you are not being verbose?
4
I can understand that. I have been identifying as a lottery winner for many years.

Fabulous. Even more than the music band Fab Four.

@mitsubishidion8514 Dr. Strangelove needs to be filmed sitting atop one of these bombs, gliding.

Cossacks appear to be the remnants of the original Indo-Europeans who evolved in Southern Russia and eventually brought their culture, technology, and language to all of Europe.

@ivanhoewindsor4749 A bot is not the same as bought.

Euro finance ministers will only be delighted until they see the bill.

@jacobjorgenson9285 That's almost as good as BFF, best friends forever.

@PeterFairhurst-v3e The US admitted to having lied to Ukraine in early 2022 about the certainty that Ukraine would defeat Russia since NATO would give Ukraine enough military and other assistance to accomplish that. We can take it as a given that both US and the UK had the same understanding of the situation in Ukraine and the same intent as to what NATO would do for Ukraine. It was only after Boris Johnson visited Zelensky that Zelensky reneged on what to all observers had been a commitment to sign the peace deal. All of the foregoing taken in aggregate strongly indicates that Boris Johnson told Zelensky that the West would give Ukraine such support as to guarantee a victory over Russia. Boris Johnson assured Zelensky of this while his knowledge of realities on the ground was the same as that of the US. Assuring Zelensky of victory while knowing that victory was impossible or improbable is lying on behalf of the UK. Consequently, the UK should not only admit to lying, but also give an apology for having cynically consigned hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to their death.

Russia will use F-16s to prove its air defenses, so they can sell the S-someting to countries who are at risk of being attacked by F16s.
4
I suppose America will have to give up on the idea of being the boss of the earth. But it is not all bad. Nobody is going to attack America. So maybe America should turn inward, and fix its internal problems.
4
Western governments and MSM say that. Not everyone. There are more people worldwide who disagree with you.
4
Zelensky has made a strategic decision to switch loyalties from the US to Europe. This was probably out of necessity, as he saw that he would not get support for his agenda from the US. He should have made that transition without making offensive statements against Trump, and even more importantly, wihout publicly and loudly inciting the Europeans against America. It will be difficult for Zelensky and also Ukraine to recover from that, especially since Zelensky has declared he isn't going to hold elections.
4
The British and the French should send troops to Ukraine. There is no other way for them to learn that it is a bad idea.
4
The Democratic delegates are free to appoint (nominate) anyone they choose. There is nothing that forces them to nominate the incumbent.
4
Taking a step back from the strife, there is an observation that deserves consideration. This entire piece of history has triggered a Russian Renaissance. Not just in its military, but in everything. Russia is now producing weapons at rates approaching WWII, but that's not all. They ratcheted up production of everything, and even opened up businesses that had previously been all Western.

The Gabon ruling family probably owns the trademark of Bongo drums.

I am guessing that Zelensky turned down the mineral deal with the Americans on the advice of the same "characters" who advised him not to sign the 2022 peace agreement. The most likely candidates would be Starmer, Macron, and Scholz, but there might be others of the same political class. As in 2022, they most likely told him that they have his back and will support him for as long as it takes, and that the mineral deal doesn't come with a security guarantee which Europe will provide, even if it's not part of a public official agreement.
4
What Western exports are there that Russia couldn't import from elsewhere?
4
There should be a movie made about the last living Ukrainian heroically remaining in Bakhmut. Something in the vein of "The Last of the Mohicans."
3
It won't matter by then. You will own nothing and be miserable.
3
To boost morale among Ukrainian troops, Zelensky should initiate a new legion called Galicia SS. That ought to do it.
3
"African Peace Mission visits Kiev." It only serves Europeans right for sending missionaries to Africa and other continents to impose their ideology on the native population.
3
@Slava_RUkraine In the carpet industry a forklift machine has to line up the tube in the center of a roll with a long steel pole. The advice given is "put some hair on it." Might this be applicable for the case you describe?

Keep in mind that Pierre is a Servant of the Establishment.

@gyanbanks74 You are right. Generally, logistics of everything becomes incredibly difficult.
3
@SuanLuang That shows either Kirby's lack of intellect or absence of sanity, or maybe both.
3
Given the kind of job it is to be the President of Ukraine, maybe being a comedian is a reasonable qualification.
3
@ArthurTane-e5b Congratulations. It would be sad if Ukraine didn't have any wins at all.
3
@gavasiarobinssson5108 The thing is that Russia will not give up any land in the four provinces, and is convinced of being able to take over Kharkov and Odessa. So if a deal can be reached before Russia takes those two areas, Russians may be willing to give those up.
3
I would like someone to explain why African countries represented at the UN vote along USA directives, despite their own governments back home appearing to hold a contrary position.
3
I propose a new unit of measure for military purposes. Instead of saying the Wagner Group advanced 120 meters, they could say they advanced one Football Field (FF), which gives a better visual representation of the change on the battleground.
3
The area of Bakhmut still held by Ukrainians is estimated at 2.5 sq km, which is a little over 600 acres. That is about 3 to 4x larger than an average privately owned farm in North America, and with multi-level buildings on it manned by armed fighters, it would take quite a bit of work to conquer it without bombing it into rubble. It might not be doable by May 9th.
3
The biggest difficulty in ending this war is that Russia wants an ironclad guarantee that Ukraine will not rearm and joins NATO. By now, Russia will not trust any promises by the West. So what would the end be? It will have to end with Russians getting control of Kiev and its military. There is no other way, unless you want to destroy the world. Is Ukraine worth it?
3
If we can't beat them, join them, the Commodore should have said. Zelensky's surprised face would be priceless to behold.
3
The political Left in the USA still has some vehicles to send to Ukraine. Unfortunately they only have clown cars, where 12 people have to climb into a single car.
3
If they want a true game changer, they should switch to playing parcheesi.

Is Emotional Damage pronounced with a Chinese accent?
3
If that rented Panda being returned to China shows wear and tear beyond what would be normal during such a rental, the US zoo might have to pay for its reconditioning and rehabilitation.

Commanding or chastising China will be interpreted as Washington playing at least a card short of a full deck.
