14 years too late On your bike wishy Washy

net migration is rising because of a lack of social and structural investment, if you want less foreign nurses you pony up the money and train your own Promising low tax and low net migration is a complete Con job
26
I'm a pensioner I don't need the fuel benefit what I needed was an economy and a party that didn't freeze tax thresholds and funded public services properly
24
Is this a comedy sketch? The economy is tanking invstment has fallen off a cliff and numbers in small boats has doubled. Oh and food production is down as well and we have additional brexit food inflation but apart from that !
18
Spectator Analysis showed the Tories would add £3000 to our tax given their promises, over the last Parliament Sky calculated that the Tories had added £13,000 to tax since 2019 Sunak says he's good on maths ? is he fk
13
This is our choice stop blaming others for the decisions made by UK politicians
13
GBN shilling for the Tories what a surprise. The party that has produced the worst economic results since the Nepolionic wars
12
You've got it al you do is complain about it
11
That's easy the Tories outsourced everything increasing its cost If you look at the NHS a lot of the money just hemorrhage out this way
11
You do realise he's highly qualified
11
Nobody is obstructing Johnsons Brexit this is it, trying to blame the EU for us erecting trade barriers on ourselves is kind of stupid
11
@TPT6148 Norway are in the single market my brother lives there we now have to fill in export forms to send him a birthday gift I don't think you have a clue as to howmuch damage to the UK’s economy Johnson's hard Brexit is causing
11
@JanisDavis-b8v refugees are 62,000 per annum v legal migration of 1.25 million yet you want to conflate the 2 why?
10
I'm quite looking forward to a Labour administration A proper trade deal with the EU removal of tons of paper work and red tape working NHS fixed supply chain so no food shortages can't wait
10
Between myself and my wife were worth 1.5 million if we died tomorrow it would all go to my son Tax Free - this is a CON to let the top 4% off tax
10
Yea I mean how will you cope with services improving and no free tax giveaways to the rich
10
If you want lower migration vote for a party that will invest in the UK and is prepared to raise taxes on the wealthy to do it not one that p1sses money away on gimmicks
10
@ChelleKT1 no they won't In the unemployment numbers are a huge swathe 9f people who are classed as special needs, people with Autism, Downs others with severe mental illness. Budgets have been cut that severely that their is zero support for these people. Also if you look at prison statistics more and more people with special needs are ending up in prison
9
@alyb731 Sunak paid 21p in the £ I think you'll find they don't It's estimated that Bezos paid 3 cents on the $ last year
9
There's a majority in NI to stay in the single market There has to be a border down the Irish Sea or Regulatory alignment with the EU and remain in the single market (Irish backstop) Johnson chose the Irish Sea option and lied about it at the end of the day the DUP only represents 30% of the population and the further down the road NI gets the bigger the majority will be to keep the protocol or call for a referendum on unification
9
Sajid Javid has been a non Dom for over a decade before becoming a cabinet minister The removal would generate around 3.2 billion and it also stops the avoidance of capital gains tax
9
Yea right you a millionaire?
9
Taxes are rising Fiscal Drag means the Tax and NI threshold at 20% should be £15,000 not £12,250 The 40% rate is frozen as well and Corporation tax is going up
8
The DUP are so stupid it's kind of funny, the only thing that will save NI from unification is the protocol without it the push for a unification vote will deafening They couldn't be a better advert for ditching GB
8
NI was always going to remain in the single market the people over there don't even want economy crippling brexit
8
They'll be reporting the truth physical exports fell by 4.6% in real terms imports fell by 7.4% in real terms service exports increased but Bloomberg analysts maintain they would have been higher without Brex i t London is OK the rest of the country is in recession
8
They were a Con show pony there wasn't the staff to man them
8
The gilt market nearly collapsed we have >100% debt to gdp with zero signs of growth Your typical tax cut costs the treasury and doesn't stimulate the economy for example the Banker tax cut in the April budget of 8 billion will generate around 2.4 billion in additional taxation so a net loss of5.6 billion to the treasury
8
Goods exports are down 4.6% in real terms adjusted for inflation and service growth has been suppressed quote from Bloomberg How, then, can we account for the strong UK services export growth compared to the G7 average? The answer is – again – that it is important to consider the right counterfactual. If we account for rising demand for services exports, we see that British exports should have performed even better than they did.
8
So what's the difference between Neoliberal trickle down that doesn't work for the Cons but Neoliberal trickle down from Reform?
8
Our NHS is around 50% cheaper than a private system would be and we need an integrated transport system
8
The vote in 2016 was all things to all men from a full Norway to the hard Brexit we ended up with In 2019 Boris got a vote of 43% mostly on the back of Corbyn Since 2016 its estimated that 2.3 million leave voters have died and if you take the new voters would vote remain 70-30 the current state of the electorate based on the 2016 result would be 55% remain 45% leave just on demographics alone. The fact that it's a complete economic train wreck isn't even factored in
8
Good idea open an application centre in Calais pulls the rug from under the traffickers at a stroke
8
You can give them a seaweed feed supplement which reduces methane by 80%
8
Houses prices are artificially high due to government policies, prices have risen by 66% since 2010 while wage growth is -7%
8
You got Brexit were not in the EU
8
@fabnobody8316 your daily dose of toxic conspiracy theories completely truth free Guess it takes allsorts I'll live in the real world and give X a miss
7
So the answer to the shtshow that is Brexit is more Brexit Forage is still the sht stain at the bottom of politics
7
Weve had 14 years of Austerity and lack of Infrastructure investment to deliberately make it feel a problem Any half decent government if it planned to expand the population would have invested to take account of that, there were always mechanisms within the eu to do it the tories chose not to use them @andyquelch5754
7
@barrymay8269 You voted for one that started drinking at lunchtime and had winetimefriday Given he's threatening to close all the bars in Westminster they will have to work for a change
7
It certainly is and Farage along with the Tories is responsible
7
@maxwild1212 that you will be forever poorer and generations will hate the Tories to the core for what they have done 7 years on and there still lying about benifits and now saying oh but we didn't do it right
7
As temperatures rise it Weakens the Polar Vortex you can end up with unprecedented cold spells
7
And who are we going to sell it too? the 2 main trade blocks in the world the US and EU have told us to go swivel
7
The top 4% pay it and you'd need to be stupid if you couldn't figure out the exceptions to pass on anywhere from 1 -2 million to your kids
7
Replace one liar with another not a great idea
7
They can walk into a job over in Europe anytime its a desired occupation all you need is a foreign language My mate's daughter is learning German intends to emigrate as soon as she's qualified
7
Thatcher started selling off leases for the oil and gas fields Norway took a different approach and created a national oil company and put the profits in a wealth fund. What your seeing economically is Thatcherism unravelling
7
Blame the Conservatives it started with Thatcher we were just getting some sort of stability then the Cons get back and and lay waste to public services again treating everyone like shit has its consequences
7
