This channel bangs on about deregulation endlessly and here are the results of lack of employment regulations and enforcement Same with the raw sewage in the rivers you can't champion deregulation with one mouth then complain when it's used to shit on people with the other
5
billionaires telling us what we need, bit of an irony there don't you think?
5
Neoliberal economic policies drive higher legal migration, if you invest in UK skills as Labour are intending the demand on net migration will go down
5
@sandragray3951 There refugees, enact stupid policies get stupid prizes We've left the Dublin accord and borders have 2 sides, all Patel's policies will do is make things worse cost millions of pounds and achieve nothing but then there not designed to achieve anything are they? Ever wondered why there allowing high skilled workers in from the Indian Sub Continent and the Philippines while at the same time trying to force people to take on all the shit low paid jobs?
5
@Bobisalive me neither but Brown was lightyears a better Chancellor than anything the Tories have offered
5
It's just Theatre read the judgment the Rwanda scheme is illegal on multiple levels of UK and International Treaty law
5
we virtually have thats why businesses are failing trade is down and no major company will invest in UK PLC
5
@zoeathomson4305 I agree it needs lowering but you can't do that without having a grown up conversation on what's driving it. Your cheap Uber is paid for with migration, lack of investment in nurses is paid for with migration even fruit picking if the government invested in automation you'd reduce the need. The elites don't want to pay the taxes that would solve a lot of these issues or even talk about it because it opens a Pandora box that thier economic model that makes them wealthy is a key driver
5
Its better than the Conservatives alternative Lets be clear the Con solution is always privatisation while the problem is never ending Tory cuts, 40 billion spent on Track and Trace with a private company.
5
If Nige says something I'd double treble check the facts he's not exactly best buddies the truth
5
@kevinnorthfield5097 she's paid her tuition fees why shouldn't she the Tories are always telling people to get a better job if they feel there not getting paid enough. Just taking government advice
5
Brexit has already failed, Cummings thinking was they could push Ireland out side the EU which has failed and divide and conquer as the EU project collapsed which has also failed leaving GB stuck. The rolling car crash to the economy will continue were only half implemented in terms of checks with biometric passports to be implemented in September and UKCA sometime this year adding yet more costs and delays to GB businesses.
5
There is and always was a 100 and 1 flavours of Brexit from Singapore on Thames with the lunatic libertarians to a full Norway. You have the English Nationalist Populist Faction (Boris Boys) The UK Nationalist Populist Faction (Boris Boys + DUP) The Libertarian Faction (ERG) The Covid research group (Anti-vax lockdown nutters) The Net zero Scrutiny Group (bought and paid for by the fossil lobby) Northern Research Group (deluded northerners that thought Tories actually gave a shit about the north) So there is no answer to Brexit its a never ending internal Tory war
5
you wouldn't put your trust in people who voted in Liz Truss to do anything sensible
5
@user-wn1dl3kk6r we've been members of the echr since 1952, my dad fought against fascism to get those rights so you can sod off giving them away
4
how about complaining at the 8 billion he gave to bankers or the 2 billion he gave to millionaire pensioners or the 6 billion he gave to the fossil industry?
4
what a waste reform are just rehashed tired right wing policies that support thr billionaire class you have too much money or something?
4
And who's farms are worth more than 5 million ? Oh yea Clarkson
4
Going Net zero Costs 6% GDP oh no we must stop it now? Wait Not going Net Zero costs 13% GDP Oh no we must GO Faster But Brexit costs us 5.5% GDP already we can afford that? Why can't we afford to save 7% GDP?
4
You've got a high level of tax because of Con policies one of the main one's being Brexit the thing that you champion the most is the biggest factor in your tax bill
4
Is Brexit to Blame - easy one yes See Project Fear I mean Yellowhammer for details
4
You don't elect a PM you vote for an MP
4
Sunak gets credit for not being a complete lunatic like Truss and then puts a budget forward that adds £1000 to most peoples tax bills and gives millionaire pensioners a tax break Trickle down economics at its finest non for thee all for me
4
The rail bosses got 6% in September the workers have had a pay freeze for 2 years running
4
Why don't you like employment rights?
4
What's horrifying about cheaper energy lower taxes and a working nhs
4
Heavy industry was deliberately killed by Thatcher the car industry had made a bit of a comeback but that has got killed by brexit The issue for major manufacturing is the complete demolition of the on-demand supply chain Johnson's brexit deal has completely fked it with delays massive red tape and paperwork
4
So what's the plan to get rid of all the paperwork red tape and repair the broken on demand supply chain? EU retain law bill? which its estimated will add 85 billion in costs to the already hammered businesses who are spending an arm and a leg on Johnson's hard Brexit as it is This guy is fkin cluless there never was a plan and never will be 7 years on and nothing but additional costs broken promises
4
Northern Ireland have it minted under the current deal free market access to the EU and GB Which idiot would want the thousands of pages of import / export documents and all the veterinary certificates plus 20 mile border tailbacks and a stagnant economy that good old blighty now has.
4
It's a universal credit introduced by Brown now a supplemental uplift topension credit Thank Sunak for the unfunded NI cut And Further NI cuts were going to be paid for by increasing the pension age and reclassified disabled as fit to work
4
Lower taxes never equates to lower taxes for the middle / lower class They lower your headline rate then put the burden on purchase taxes you actually pay more as a portion of your income in tax the lower down the economic scale you are. With tax the rich are forever on about tax fairness but its a straight lie someone at the bottom on minimum wage pays a huge proportion of their income + capital in tax the further you go up the scale the less you pay as a proportion so reducing the headline rate has a disproportionate affect on the overall tax take.
4
@shanjanusman9974 That's Conservative supply side economic policy nothing to do with the EU and it will get way worse now they can lower standards and undercut what little industry is left. Did the German car industry collapse because of the EU? When Germany unified they put 2 trillion into leveling up the East what have the Cons put into the north bar empty promises
4
I remember and just out of interest went and checked their record Well funded services Introduction of the minimum wage average wages rose +25% GDP per capita rose to 50,000 Lets compare shall we were now worse of in terms of disposable income than we were in 2006 GDP per Capita has shrunk to 45,000 (US who were similar in 2010 is now 72,000) Our economy was 90% of Germany's it's shrunk to 70%
4
@TimoX-e2v The fact that everything has been so disastrous after installing a populist clown in Boris to then want another one in Nigel is baffling to me as well
4
NI voted to remain within the EU by a large margin (55%) an even larger margin want the Protocol enacted through negotiation with the EU (59%) the UK government need to crater the deal before it becomes too obvious how well NI is doing with unfettered access to the single market compared to the UK. Quote from an article in the FT Northern Ireland success due to EU Jonathan Portes, professor of economics at King’s College London, said that “Northern Ireland has done better” because the Protocol allows it to be part of the EU single market. Fresh data comes after last month it emerged Northern Ireland was the only region in the UK with increasing imports for the first half of 2021, compared to the same period last year. The statistics show Northern Ireland performed better than any other part of the UK, with Britain’s overall economic recovery falling 2.1 per cent over the same period.
4
Nige talks utter bilge he appears to know nothing about anything he's the guy at the end of the bar talking endless bollox
4
@Innoruuk Its going shit companies all across the board are struggling with trade due to the huge insane levels of paperwork now needed not to worry when they go bankrupt we can just import more stuff from the EU
4
@lewis123417 Identical to the UK then we've moved from a northern European economy to a southern one in 7 years. UK GDP in 2016 was 90% of Germany's its now 70% and falling we have a birth rate of 1.6 an aging population a crumbling health service and zero way of decreasing the debt to GDP ratio which is set to peak at 103% Employment is still below 2019 levels GDP is still below 2019 levels our home grown food production has fallen from 60% to 50% with government policy deliberately trying to shut farms down and downgrade food standards to import low quality cheap from abroad. This week saw noticeable food shortages what's next ration books?
4
Already is
4
Labour's worker regulation policy will reduce demand for legal migration as will their economic policy If you don't regulate and invest in your domestic workforce as the Cons don't you need to import skills
4
He's paying for it with cuts due in next year 1st present for a Labour government 20 billion in Austerity cuts The guy really is a Hunt
4
Do you have Stockholm syndrome? This is the worst uk government measured by economic statistics ever. The 1st time you will go into the ballot box after a 5 year term and be poorer than when you voted before
4
@RodFleming-World so where were you going to put the border then back in Ierland to fire up the troubles and break the Good Friday agreement? All you people seem to known how to do is destroy and break things and offer nothing in the way of solutions
4
We have left the EU completely what are you on about
4
@alexander92179 Parties supporting and wanting to make the protocol work received 59% of the initial vote
4
@alexander92179 17% of the population voted Alliance this idea that you need to support a party of your own Religion needs scrapping the current power sharing needs to go unfortunately the septic boil that is the Conservative party may well restart the troubles if there not careful, the mere fact that they keep stoking this rhetoric is utter madness
4
There's no commandments left for him to break wonder what deal he did with the Devil to garner the souls of the Evangelicals
4
When the problem is right wing Economic policy Your answer is doubling down on stupid?
4
How does leaving a tarrif free paper free red tape free zone 20 miles away with roll on roll off ferry access be anything other than economic suicide?
4
Why would you give up your human rights? It's the last bastion against government overreach you'd be mental to support leaving
