Yes, they lounge around in Parliament doing very little for their takings from the public purse.
1
@futoru_globe_trekker6558 You should visit rather than judging by prejudice.
1
Why?
1
@sylviapage2159 Brits travel on coaches every day.
1
*Boris
1
@DK-ck6ye That's because it's a hard Brexit.
1
@Benzknees Well they don't do that because they know not to. I've had the flu jab and in fact the nurse did not touch me at all. Only the needle touched me. I can't remember if she wore gloves though. Also if this is a non Covid part of the hospital, it's likely they've both been tested for Covid and that the room is frequently cleaned.
1
You mean ignorance is close you your heart?
1
@Felix-rising You mean its their fault we have this shower in power?
1
Starmer's not in government, so what has Starmer done to him? Nothing.
1
I'm sure they do have to.
1
They probably hope that too.
1
They were all checked in Afghanistan before they were let on the planes. Did you not see the sniffer dogs sniffing the luggage, and these are people who have worked with British forces.
1
IM NOT A TROLL I JUST TROLL A LOT About a dozen. How many will you be putting in yours?
1
the man with the green cortina Having a green cortina. That says a lot.
1
Some people would rather vote for a handsome psychopath.
1
How trivial. He has a kind, intelligent face. I don't think he looks scruffy and as for importance. People who are self important are the ones I trust least. I understand that Brad Pitt wanted to make a movie about this man's life as it's been so interesting. Talking about scruffy, who is more scruffy looking than Boris Johnson but he knows people like the rumpled, eccentric look so he plays it up.
1
@jaymeeleighjx1x Try this video by Stephen Fry then. He's not a politician https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HDFegpX5gI&feature=youtu.be
1
@Pashaster Investigate the reason for the nickname and whether that triggers any alarm bells. The character of a person should be important in deciding whether they are fit to be a policeman.
1
@christopher3386 Why? They are in a line of descent from George I of Hanover, though on the female side there's some different ancestry.
1
We do need more builders.
1
@simonharrison1874 Ha ha. I think it's you who should visit to improve your knowledge of it.
1
Such as?
1
@Bereadyalways123 It's thinking like that that got us into this mess. Do you really think wokeism is the biggest issue for people right now? The 'left wingers' are not in power and haven't been for decades in case you hadn't noticed. Even Blair was not a left winger and most Labour governments weren't radical. You have to go back to 1945 for the most radical one. They created the NHS, nationalised utility companies and the railways, and rebuilt the housing stock after the war. The Tories are managing to ruin the country all by themselves. They can claim all the credit.
1
@Bereadyalways123 The part of wokeism I like is when people are trying to be nice and considerate to each other, but I do believe in vigorous debate and expressing views. I don't like cancellation and censorship except where people are endangering lives by their hate speech. Wokeism can be irritating but I don't think it's the worst problem there is when so many people struggle to put food on the table or to get treatment for illnesses or jobs that pay enough to live on.
1
@Bereadyalways123 P.S You say the media control people's thoughts and you say the media are left wing. That doesn't seem logical since it doesn't explain why the majority of the country seems right wing and votes for right wing Tories. Only the cities and the educated young don't follow this tendency.
1
@Bereadyalways123 Oh dear. You've become an example of someone who gets abusive when they feel they are losing an argument or can't get someone else to agree with them. I'm in London where there are many educated young people.
1
@HM-wl1nu If someone threatens you with a gun there are few choices. Actually the key moment is not captured on camera. He seems to be going to overtake the van but what happens just as he passes it is not on camera. However you can hear gunshots and the guy himself is unarmed. Then you see the guy trying to grab the gun of one of the gunmen and the two of them tussling before more shots.
1
Rees- Mogg understands nothing about the real world. He would be even worse than Johnson
1
Hand washing is enough.
1
@1940ssinger Yes it is. Covid guidance tells people to wash their hands. It doesn't require them to wear gloves. In theory gloves would not save you unless they were changed after every time you touched something. My friend currently studying science gets a science magazine which frequently has articles on Covid and she said they are discovering that the virus is spread more from close contact with someone who has the virus through what they breathe out, rather than by touching surfaces. Of course nurses wear gloves to be on the safe side if they are dealing with someone with Covid but I'm guessing this woman has been tested to ensure she is Covid free before having the injection, and after having the injection she'll be protected.
1
He is known among colleagues as dim and lazy. Just what's not needed.
1
This muppet or that muppet? Tweedledum or Tweedledee?
1
They don't seem to be paying much attention to the Irish President. The Bidens seem wrapped up in each other - a bit disrespectful really.
1
@Law9652 'A response' then from an MP or 'a comment' if you like. Semantics doesn't change the fact that it was said.
1
@bl0ated_ No. Anyone caught lying to Parliament would have to resign in the past and they did. Many do, as an alternative, avoid answering, deflect, give a partial truth, mislead, change the subject etc but not outright lies to this extent and carry on as if it's all o.k.
1
@bl0ated_ What lies did Clement Attlee tell?
1
I think the lawyer was looking for a yes answer to confirm the text was sent to Elton John. Johnny Depp didn't confirm that, but went on a ramble. I don't think he understood what the point of the question was or why the lawyer was asking it so he avoided giving a yes/no answer.
1
They are also booing the donors going in. They are the ones in power.
1
Hardly a smile. That looks more like a rictus grin.
1
Or working in the building industries or the hospitality industries or the Care industries or in the NHS or as lorry drivers. We are short of all of those.
1
@stequality Do you know that two thirds of those '20 million' benefit claimants' are pensioners? (Even when people have paid contributions throughout their working lives for their pensions, pensions are still described as 'benefits' in government forms.) About 1.5 million of those pensioners claim pension credit. The rest paid full contributions or aren't claiming credit. As for the remaining 7 million (of the 20 million), about 4 million these are disabled people or their carers. As for the rest....Universal Credit is paid to 2.3 million. Almost half the people claiming Universal Credit have a job or jobs but their earnings are so low that they can claim Universal Credit. Income Support is claimed by 372k and jobseekers allowance by 183k.
1
@stequality I've noticed traffic has been a lot better recently but that might also be to do with Covid and more people working at home.
1
@stequality Well we have the congestion charge and some empty supermarket shelves and more people working from home. That may explain it.
1
@stequality Well Brexit and Covid are quite recent. Some towns and cities have a problem which is not to do with those factors. I have relatives in Hereford and the traffic there, over many years, has varied from pretty bad to almost impossible. I'm not sure why. Maybe old towns weren't designed for high traffic levels and don't have the scope to improve the road design.
1
@leetodd7040 What store?
1
@neilpye6089 * phonetically written speech. However correct pronunciation is not easy unless some effort has been made.
1
*paid. Look up the benefit entitlements of refugees before making assumptions.
1
@jose-Maki Just google what benefits migrants to the UK are entitled to. You will get fact check statements like this: 'Most non-EU nationals who are subject to immigration control are not allowed access to "public funds" (such as jobseekers' allowance or tax credits), although they can use public services like the NHS and education. EU citizens who are working have similar access to the benefits as UK citizens.'

Not in a leadership election, no.
