I agree with your points on immigration and the home office's murky procedures. We also need clarity when questioning a Tory MP as it's like pulling teeth. We'd get more sense from most Tory MPs if they gave their answers using the medium of interpretative dance...

That's indeed the problem in the modern age when the truth is optional and facts are seen as debatable. Without a plurality of the media, we spend out lives trying to read between the lines to discover the truth. Still nice to see Tim Putin the boot into Putin.
8
Prime situation for an accident... While UK citizens drown in debt the Tories are still making big bucks from using taxpayer money to farm out their responsibility to contractors and being as inhumane as possible in the process...
8
@moiraruff3292 He went against the whip because since Blair with his centrist infiltration of the Labour party they were going against their own Democratic Socialism/Social Democracy ideology. Corbyn has always been ideologically consistent and stuck to Social Democracy even when the leadership turned against their own core historical ideology.

The dodgy lawyers and solicitors talk is all based on the allegations made by the daily fail, nuff said...

The last year: The financial vampires drain the country dry, drain the people dry. The heart continues to pump, the hands and legs continue to work, the cells continue to function. Yet the country stumbles forward in shock, unaware that it has been struck a mortal blow...
8
The irony of attempting to implement impossible solutions to manufactured problems... I'm glad to see that Brexiters are now subject to the same division and polarisation that was forced on the general public that helped enact this act of political insanity and the slow-malingering deceased economy that emanated from such.
8
The main thing I like about the Tories - apart from the infighting - is the fact that they are the antidote to happiness...

PS If a security camera records you shoplifting it's not the security guard's fault for switching on the camera and recording your crime!

You say you want real people in politics and yet the Tories have stacked the HOL with their cronies. Very few of those people have actually lived a life of manual labour and low wages which puts them out of touch with the public. I appreciate the HOL is supposed to be part of our checks and balances, but why not replace it with a group of human rights lawyers, political experts, economic experts etc to keep the government in check. Paid to sit for a far more reasonable salary than we currently pay via the price-per-sitting (£323 a day) system. Surely from what you have said, that would be an appropriate compromise?
7
Good luck with that, they own over 400 of the top brands on shelves in the supermarket. That's the problem with choice these days, a small amount of multinationals like Unilever own 95% of the brands on sale...
7
Having a Royal Family is like owning a really expensive breed of dog that only eats gold, can't do any tricks, has an expensive medical condition due to inbreeding, barks and growls at you when you approach and then sh!ts all over your house... and lives for centuries...

Can we clear this Ms Fulani thing up? "People are deliberately misrepresenting the debate. Ms Fulani clearly stated at the beginning of the interview that she had no records of her ancestry from Africa. (Her parents were both descendants of slaves taken to the Caribbean under Royal decree as part of our imperialist past) Ms Fulani must have been embarrassed and uncomfortable that her African heritage was denied to her because of slavery and answered questions accurately. Saying that she was born in London and was British. After being further questioned she said her parents came from the Caribbean. In the end, she had to repeat that she is of Unknown African heritage, Caribbean descent and British nationality. This wasn't about being asked a simple question. Lady Hussey has form and so does the Royal household." Hopefully, that has made this a little clearer to everyone...

I'm so impressed with Mogg I've decided to join the Tory party. In penance of my lefty ways, I'm going to self-flagellate by bashing my head repeatedly with a stone tablet inscribed with neoliberal principles and shouting flock the poor. Then I'm going to ignite a homeless person in front of a £50 note...
7
Sound of music ey? Tory version: Tear gas on miners and pepper spray in Britain Cruel coppers kettling and truncheoned heads splitting Brown paper envelopes; ransoms for kings These are a few of the Tory's favourite things...

Yes, of course. People who save lives for a living should have their rights nullified... They have said they will respond to life-threatening calls... Why don't you mention the loss of 60 ambulance stations? how many problems has that caused?
7
Agreed, it will be mental gymnastics of Olympian levels.
7
Yes, it's so wonderful to see our new King, can't wait to bow down and doff my cap to his Royal Heinous. I'll be forelock tugging all day as I'm so happy to still be a subject of a feudal system and therefore essentially a serf. God save our King and those wonderful upper-class Tories whose philanthropy is unmatched. I only wish I could bow and scrape all the time but I have to work 23 hours a day to pay for my electricity...
7
@shelleylyme6402 The Tories throw the poor a liferaft made of lead from the prow of their golden luxury yacht...
7
All of those people could be adding thousands per person in taxation per annum and costing nothing while filling the worker shortages in agriculture, the NHS and other industries... Processing them would be a boon to the economy while detention is a drain...
7
@MandyAustin-nl4cn Thank you for your unsolicited erroneous and frankly laughable opinion. The UNCHR was created with the help of British lawyers to protect society from what happened to Germany at the beginning of the previous century. They have done that job ever since and your understanding seems very naive. Have a wonderful day!
7
What is the p[oint of these people resigning? they'll just be recycled within a few months into some new post until the next scandal...

Laverbread (bara lawr) is a traditional Welsh delicacy using Laver seaweed. Glad to know the cows are getting in on the action to help reduce emissions. Hopefully will lead to cows being treated better in general, not just dietary. I don't eat meat but if animals are treated well then I don't oppose people eating meat, provided they use all of the animal and ensure the longevity of the species.
7
I've seen more suitable options for an MP in the reject bin at Jim Henson's workshop than 30p Lee and to be fair, at least they all know they're muppets...
7
I'll try again in quotes as per usual YT has filtered me out of debate. "It's a disgracefully corrupt and authoritarian regime, but enough about the Tories, Putin is certainly just as bad if not worse. The difference is that the Tories are subtle. While our exports to the world such as the Industrial revolution have helped humanity, other exports aren't always globally helpful. For instance, the Bank of England has been exporting financial cons for decades and Britain is responsible for a large part if not, the majority of global corporate tax fraud. We launder the global criminal elite's money for them."

I'd block the peerage on the grounds that she's the human form of a shiver looking for a spine to run up...

Matt Hancock was the first in his family not be born with webbed feet.

She should change her name to Salmonella Cruelerman...

Save repeating this on every erroneous comment I've seen: " The EHRC report clearly showed there was no systemic AS in the Labour party. The 2017 and 2018 parliamentary reports clearly show less AS in Labour compared to the Tory Party, UKIP and society in general. It also clearly shows AS was reduced under Corbyn. The Home Affairs Select Committee of Parliament held an inquiry into antisemitism in the UK in the same year and found "no reliable, empirical evidence to support the notion that there is a higher prevalence of antisemitic attitudes within the Labour Party than any other political party". The reports proved there were higher levels of Antisemitism in the Tory party, UKIP and society as a whole than in the Labour party. Thanks to Corbyn the party enjoyed the biggest swing to Labour since 1945 and he increased membership from around 200k to around 580k which made Labour the biggest party in Europe. Corbyn also turned party finances around to create a surplus within 2 years. He also helped to restart the stalled talks after months of work to enable the prisoner exchange which itself enabled the GFA..." Don't bother replying to me unless you can conclusively rebut any of the information I've provided, I'm not interested in debating tabloid nonsense or personal opinions...

I'm heavily filtered by the YT algorithm, I think not only is there a general filter for certain words but also a score given to users against which this is used. I've had straight-up stats filtered. Thank you for allowing my jokes and not removing my dark humour and sarcasm. I get far more comments visible here than in most places and so can confirm that I think Tim is genuine in his desire and actions not to censor us. I've also got to know Tim better in the last week of two and appreciate his mild-mannered Professor demeanour with that wellspring of innuendo bursting to get out.

Matt Hancock is the reason God doesn't talk to us anymore!
6
Experience in what? compassion, humanity, decency, morals, dignity, ethics... She has a lot of deficiencies...
6
@andrewtongue7084 True, but at least in feudal society I could forage for food and collect logs to heat my home. Now we have foodbanks and hypothermia.
6
About as relevant as a grain of sand in the Sahara desert...

100%, In one of the first responses to Hussey Ms Fulani, said that she didn't have documentation of her ancestry (as they were taken to the Caribbean as slaves). This story isn't about asking a simple question, it's about ignoring an uncomfortable admission from Ms Fulani and continuing to inquire while also being quite patronising.
6
Teabagging has nothing to do with a tasty beverage from China served in porcelain teacups... lol
6
@feargal2433 Thank you and agreed.
6
@shelleylyme6402 OK, I'm exaggerating, but we lost 150,000 because of cuts in the NHS during austerity which she not only condoned but fought for. Then there are the losses from Pandemic corruption and incompetence. Not to mention the failure of the ring-fenced care homes. The 40,000 losses per annum from pensioners lost to the winter cold. Esther and her party are responsible for far more British losses than the Blitz...
6
Hire a big red bus and mark these words in large letters "We lose over £350 million pounds a week because of Brexit, let's fund our NHS instead! - vote rejoin"
6
Minister of friendship and openhearted acceptance. She gives evil witches a bad name...
6
Bye-Bye election!
6
She did a great job directing Apocalypse Now, The Godfather trilogy and my personal fav Rumble Fish starring Mickey Rourke. lol sorry, just joking...
6
Misanthropes and neanderthals, economic vampires and seriously flawed human beings and she's queen? Such a sad comment from a sad little man...
6
@billseymour-jones3224 Agreed, Although to be a Tory MP you have to lack compassion, decency, morality and humanity it would seem.
6
Laws and words are given meaning by those who create and use them. Predominantly the powerful in society who want to ensure their power and wealth increase no matter the cost to others. Changes to legal aid brought in by the Tory government in 2012 to save money along with changes to the way in which solicitors are paid for legal aid work in 2006 means that justice is now harder to get and is truly only for those with money. There is no incentive anymore for justice, no financial incentive for solicitors to protect those on the lower rungs of the social ladder. We have a government that spent over £200 million of taxpayer money challenging the human rights of the disabled and vulnerable who lost financial support due to their legislation.
6
I did panto once, but after a few ill-judged innuendos I was pulled off...
6
lol, love the way my comment gets likes and then they disappear. It's hard enough to get a comment through the filtering as it is. Having a voice on the internet is becoming a simple display of which content is preferred by the host of the social media platform.
6
@mossychops The Tories are just trying to increase the cost and paperwork so they can continue to use this as a diversion from their other failings. The increase in anti-migrant rhetoric in the tabloids will give the Tories a break from scrutiny as it always does, Hence why they never implement effective solutions.
6
@b00ts4ndc4ts Agreed, under nationalisation workers had decent wages and all profits went back into subsidised fares for the public and improvements to the infrastructure.
