Enjoys cocktail parties with vodka and caviar alongside Boris Johnson who he has been close friends with since the early 2000s. Lebedev's Evening Standard was going all out in support of Johnson as the Mayor of London. Lebedev was nominated for a life peerage by - you guessed it - Boris Johnson in 2020. The New York Times this year wrote "nobody is a better example of the cozy ties between Russians and the [British] establishment than Mr. Lebedev."

Brexit was a nightmare, with generational debt, losses to human rights, animal welfare, food standards, , prestige on the international stage, logistical problems regarding goods, trading relations that took decades to form. Despite constant media lies to the contrary - Brexit was all about Britain being the global leader in corporate tax avoidance and the criminal elite's money laundering thanks to the crown estates and overseas territories which lack transparency. Obviously, the EU crackdown after the Panama Papers scandal - which references many top Tories, Royalty and Russian oligarchs - and the EU Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive that resulted in 2015 was a huge incentive for Cameron's visit to the EU the same year, to beg the EU to add loopholes or exclude Britain. Cameron returned empty-handed and then announced the Brexit referendum. All this has been brought back to the forefront by the Pandora Papers exposing similar connections to Royalty, Russian Oligarchs and top politicians.

The impressive state of the NHS, Education, Policing, the Economy and the infrastructure on which we all rely. Not to mention the crystal clear waters that snake the UK from the mountains to the sea.   14. Thanks Phil, great explanation. In the 70s before Thatcher and her anti-union legislation. One working wage could feed a family and support a mortgage, we had skilled jobs (not broken down into simple tasks) and we had corporations that gave their workers summer day trips, Christmas parties with pressies for the kids, a decent pension to look forward to. We were as workers part of a family and almost everyone had in-work support from union reps.

Corporate template for a letter to the Tories: Dear Conservative Party, I run a large corporation and we've been failing because I pay myself an exorbitant salary and have little respect for my minimum wage, zero-hour contract employees. I've been told if I donate to the Conservative party I can get some action on the public purse and maybe you will throw a few lucrative contracts my way so I can keep my offshore bank account topped up. I understand I may have to pay a small percentage of the legally required corporation tax. Anyways just let me know how much I need to donate and what kind of returns I can expect from the public taxes via overpriced contracts that I will try to provide at least 2 or 3% efficiency on. These things should be managed on a national level by competent non-profit entities such as nationalised industry, this is the reason we have a social contract and pay taxes. Food is also a necessity and grows virtually anywhere with little human labour needed. Yet all these things are subject to profit-driven corporations with shareholders, who only care about the bottom line.

  30. I love the way Brexit has improved the lives of Brits up and down the country. How smooth the transition was and how quickly all the border, import and export issues were solved. I was especially pleased with how little money was spent on administration and how Britain's standing improved on the global stage, especially in Europe. It's like a dream come true and there were hardly any teething problems as you'd expect with such a vast change. So glad we didn't lose any of the trading deals and relationships that took decades to accomplish. An all-around success story for Britain...

  43. Some things don't add up about Rishi's claims as we already know. "The UK is the poorest country in North-West Europe, per person. The data shows the wealth gap between the UK and our European neighbours has doubled, from -7.6% in 2000 to -16.3% in 2021." Not to mention our economy has contracted by 0.7% already according to the OBR and now a further contraction of 0.4% according to the OECD, while the Eurozone has grown by 2.1% and is set to keep growing. If only we could find a logical and obvious connection between these figures...

  45. Too lazy or too useless? One principle to bear in mind - everything the Tories do is to get their hands on taxpayer money. He has to have a basic financial understanding, given his background. So why did he cost the taxpayer £11 billion? who gains and what are their links to Tories. Bankers, Financial advisors etc are all the types that donate to or are part of the Tory party.
