  48. JWST has a huge sun shield that protects it from the heat and light of the sun, earth and moon. This shield prevents it from turning towards earth to take a picture. It is not just a telescope. Thanks to weather satellites that take thousands of pictures of the earth every day, the weather can be predicted. Nothing is hidden. Search for GOES.
