Look up where the Soviet Luna 15 mission was in 1969.
4
Wendel, gut feelings are still not credible evidence.
4
Just take a search engine of your choice and ask the question how many manned moon landings there were.
4
Both are taking advantage of the ignorance of most people about the moon landings. Especially religious people.
4
If Nixon had not ended the Apollo program in 1972, it might still be possible today. But because of his decision, the 20,000 contractors involved shut down their production lines and their 400,000 skilled workers went to other things. And gone was the infrastructure to ever build a rocket that could take a manned mission to the moon. After 6 successful moon landings, there has never been a compelling reason to go back. Today, robots are so good that there is no need to send humans.
4
Every aspect is debunked. Not convinced? Ask me, I'll easily debunk all his views.
4
@AyloynOwlFeather I don't have any receipts, only scientifically proven evidence. Can you handle that?
4
Chroma key technology hadn't been invented in the 60's. Let alone used on a live TV broadcast. Your gut feelings aren't proof.
4
During the Apollo missions, astronauts collected a total of approximately 382 kilograms (840 pounds) of moon rocks, which were examined by scientists from 180 countries. All have declared them authentic.
4
Why do you feel it necessary to show your lack of knowledge here?
4
🤡
4
@56fairbank An addition to this. I find it absolutely outrageous that Sibrel is using this to mislead people. Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee can no longer defend themselves. I have seen interviews with people who worked at North American Aviation and were closely involved in the design of the capsule. To this day they feel guilty.
4
Do you have scientific evidence for this or is it just your gut feeling?
4
Which journalist? Candace never finished her journalism degree and Sibrel used to be a cab driver.
4
380 kilos of moon rocks examined by scientists from 135 countries refute that.
4
It was a legitimate punch!
4
There were indeed scientists on board. Harrison Schmitt (Apollo 17) was a geologist. All astronauts on the last 3 missions received a solid geological education. The 6 moon landings brought back 382 kilos of lunar samples that are still being studied by thousands of scientists around the world, including Russia. Your gut feelings are completely off the mark.
4
You can say the same about lies. And Sibrel is a good example of that. Just take a search engine of your choice and ask the question how many manned moon landings there were. Every argument that Sibrel brings up I can refute.
4
400.000, employed by 20,000 contractors.
4
Indeed. I have never heard anyone tell so many lies as this grifter.
4
However, 3 other astronauts did do this, but of course Sibrel doesn't show that.
4
Dr. James Van Allen has written about the belts named after him. He was also a consultant for NASA. According to him, these belts were only dangerous during a long stay in the thickest regions. The 9 Apollo missions stayed there no longer than an hour and went through the thinnest regions of these belts.
4
Unfortunately you still talk about moon landing. In 1983 they didn't have search engines, now they do.
4
Sibrel is known to be a grifter and a liar.
4
How did they get 382 kilos of lunar samples that were and are still being examined by 135 countries, including Russia? Lunar satellites from South Korea, India and Japan have taken pictures of the Apollo landing sites.
4
So you're quoting from a 3000 year old fairy tale book. How well does your GPS work? Those satellites are at an altitude of 22,000 km.
4
Sibrel was a Nashville cab driver, not a journalist and certainly not a scientist. He makes his money by selling his book to gullible people.
4
A so-called truth based on a 3000 year old fairy tale book. Responsible for the deaths of millions of people throughout the ages. And you call that joyfull.
4
It is just nonsense. Everything is easy to refute. This and his book is just Sibrel's business model. Unfortunately, gullible people fall for this easily because they do not have the knowledge about the subject.
4
Even the Chinese search engine Baidu and the Russian search engine Yandex also give this result. And you think this Nashville cab driver is telling the truth?
4
In Hebrew, the word "nasa" (נָשָׂא) means "to lift," "to carry," or "to bear." If the firmament really existed, there would still be dinosaurs walking around today, not us.
4
The problem is that almost no one watches the entire 90-minute press conference. The atmosphere is getting better and better, but they are still test pilots and astronauts, not pop stars, and there was no such thing as media training.
4
The 6 moon landings were not fake. There is enough scientific evidence provided by scientists who are independent of the government and also by countries that do not have strong ties with the US like China and India.
4
There were 9 manned flights to the moon. They landed there 6 times and 12 people have walked on the moon. They have collected over 380 kilos of moon rocks that have been studied by scientists from 135 countries including Russia. They all unanimously agreed that these were genuine and stood as scientifically irrefutable evidence. Your opinion is based solely on gut feelings.
4
Yep, just as visible as on Earth on a cloudless day.
4
@ascendingdeity All those rocks that ended up on Earth have burn marks from their fiery entry into the atmosphere, the moon rocks do not have this because they have no atmosphere.
4
A good journalist would have first researched what the person she invites stands for. A good journalist also asks critical questions. She invited a cab driver who is known for his lies and fraud. Sibrel is not a journalist and certainly not a scientist.
4
It is not possible to simulate swirling dust in a vacuum and with 1/6 of Earth's gravity here on Earth. Furthermore, there were 6 manned moon landings. Look it up.
4
How do you recreate 850 pounds of lunar samples? Why were foreign lunar satellites able to take pictures of the Apollo landing sites?
4
You have been fooled by a fraud and a liar. He deliberately does not say that there were 6 moon landings and that those 6 missions yielded 382 kilos of moon rocks because geologists can very easily determine the origin and age of rocks. Geologists from 135 countries have proven this irrefutably.
4
How much trust do you have in a search engine?
4
No, not as long as she invites conspiracy theorists instead of real scientists.
4
The isotopic ratio of oxygen in moon rocks differs from that in terrestrial rocks and "lunar meteorites". The latter have been affected by weathering.
4
Tip: Before reading the book, you should first consult a search engine and ask how many manned moon missions there have been.
4
His death only made the 400,000 people involved in the Apollo project only more determined.
4
400,000 people have worked for 20,000 contractors for over 10 years and even after over 55 years there has never been a whistleblower. Think about that.
4
Sibrel is known for spreading lies to gullible people in order to sell his book. This man was a cab driver, not a journalist or a scientist.
4
Of course your father was excited. He knew that Hasselblad is a Swedish company. This company still exists and on their website they write that they were proud to make the cameras that were used during the moonwalks and are still there.
4
The fact that you refer to a belt in the singular makes me suspect that you are not really up to date on the ins and outs of these beltS.
4
I did exactly the same. However, at that age I already went to the library on my bike to read everything about space travel and Apollo in particular. I followed all the missions and from Apollo 13 onwards in colour. With the advent of the internet you could really find a lot more. That is the difference between you and me, the knowledge about the subject. I easily refute all of Sibrel's nonsense but you believe it. Do yourself a favour and take a random search engine and ask how many manned moon landings there have been. I can already tell you that the Chinese search engine Baidu and the Russian search engine Yandex also give the same answer. Moon satellites from Japan, South Korea, India and China have taken pictures of the landing sites.
