  1. This guy is a legend. He deserves a Nobel Prize. Love is the ultimate unconditional sacrifice. It is so rare it is essentially a work of fiction. Whereas relationships / marriages are just business or a transactional exchange of value, e.g. men provide resources, good looks and emotional support, while women in return provide physical intimacy. Orion really gets it. His videos are mind blowing.

  3.  @monforttransport  100% agree. I learnt this the hard away after losing 70% of my money and assets (including my house) in my UK divorce. The divorce has left me financially ruined, homeless and alone. I would have been better off just to have not got married in the first place. The problem is, with things like IG, wives can see that their lives are not as amazing as other people's lives, and then they are going to get angry at the husband for failing to provide that same lifestyle. Sad but true. I now just see marriage as a wealth transfer mechanism (it doesn't really have anything to do with long term relationships).

I think most Western countries in the future will go down a Japanese route, i.e. anime, AI girlfriends/OF, video games, etc. Lets see if my prediction is right in 10 - 20 years time.

  14. You absolutely nailed it. When you get married you hand over all the leverage and power in the relationship over to your wife. As she is able to take the money, house and kids on divorce. This means the husband will find it very difficult to exercise any control or ability to walk away. A lot of young guys screw themselves over at the very beginning of a marriage (unless there is an iron-clad pre-nup in place which kind of levels the playing field).

  15.  @annesmith9181  my point is that it makes more sense for men to have children outside of marriage due to the financial risks. Having kids inside of marriage no longer makes any sense as the mother is financially rewarded by the family courts to breakup the family. In the UK 51% of children are now born outside of wedlock. I believe the figure is 40% in the USA. My prediction is that these %'s will continue to increase as marriage becomes less and less common, as marriage is probably the worst financial decision you can make as a man.

  30. Family laws can be minimized to some extent. 1. Choose a woman who is mentally and emotionally stable, i.e. calm, peaceful, agreeable. 2. Don't get married. And 3. only have 1 kid to minimize any future child support. I messed up on 1 and 2, and have pretty much ruined my life.

  31. I kinda agree with this. I think it is much less of a problem if the husband starts doing well as the wife has more spending money which will probably make her happy. And normally women choose husbands who they see potential in, and therefore are happy when the husband realizes his potential. It may back fire if the husband spends too much time working and then starts to neglect her. Its a fine line between working hard, but not working too hard.

  32. During my marriage, my wife would treat her friends better than she would treat me. This type of disrespect is the beginning of the end of any relationship/marriage. Once she starts placing her friends/bosses above her husband this is inevitably going to cause resentment with the husband as he is paying all the bills, looking after the kids, doing the shopping/housework, etc not the friends/bosses. The problem with long term relationships/marriages is the man can't fall off. If he does fall off, then there will be lots of moaning, complaining and disrespect.

Consequently, it is the money (rather than the marriage) that is giving children from married couples an advantage. For example, if two Harvard educated people have kids outside of wedlock, those kids are likely to do better than the kids of two married criminals. Marriage is purely imaginary, it is just a piece of paper and a wedding ring. I think one of the reasons marriage is becoming less and less common is because kids of divorce then get nervous to marry after seeing their parents fight over the kids, money, house, child support, alimony, etc for decades. In other words, the divorce laws/divorce judges are eating and cannibalising marriage across the generations. As more and more kids are born into divorce, it reduces the number of people in the next generation willing to take on the risks of marriage (this applies to both genders, e.g. daughters scared to marry after seeing their mothers having to chase their lazy fathers for money, or sons scared to marry after seeing their fathers lose his wages, house and kids).

  46. I lost 70% in my UK divorce. Losing 70% is also common in USA divorces. For example, if there is a $100k marital pot, it would get split 50-50 in the States, but the judge could get the husband to pay her 10k for lump sum alimony and 10k for ex-wife's legal fees, so the split would be $70k to her and $30k to him. I'm not sure why people keeping saying men only lose 50%???
