@stipeercegovic8333 I'm assuming that means that hardware stores were out as an option in sourcing materials, because you'd be surprised how effective they can be for making anything, at least here in the US.
5
It is sad. I expect viewers of yours and Ian's channel to be more intelligent than that. Hopefully it's a very small percentage.
5
@ForgottenWeapons That's awesome, thanks for responding.
5
If only YouTube would let him.
5
@angusmatheson8906 I'm not sure I understand what point you're trying to make. Are you saying you think that infringing on people's rights is a good thing?
5
Interesting that it was invented so long ago. I'm hoping you do polygonal rifling next.
5
@NATIVE1179 True, and it's too late to change, as we can't change the past. But for the future, for his children that aren't that way or his grandchildren, it could be a good tip that could help them. Better to eat poorly and save up for a gun than to eat well and be unable to defend oneself.
4
@simonblanchet1022 Do you get the idea that they may? Or that your question was phrased in an unnecessarily rude way?
4
@jakegarrett8109 Due to the way they work the P90 magazines are more reliable, and it would be interesting to see a redesigned .308 cartridge that could fit in such a magazine. Can you imagine a redesigned .50 BMG cartridge in that kind of magazine. It would look ridiculous.
4
What was the conclusion of that paper? Do you believe gun control works?
4
@PsychoKineticCat If by that you mean that controlling your gun and accurately shooting works, then yes. If you mean it sarcastically as in "gun control saves lives", with the subtext being that it doesn't save lives and actually costs lives, then also yes. If you meant it any other way, then no.
4
Maybe you could sew a pad onto your holster, or into your pants. Might help.
4
I hate spaghetti and I would do the same.
4
I have a certain fondness for stamped receiver guns. I think if they're pinned and welded just right they could be more than durable enough, even if not quite as durable as milled. Although, if they're designed right, they should also be significantly cheaper, so that's a mistake on Valmet, IMO.
4
@Alfiy_Wolf We definitely need more comedy these days. Thanks.
3
Definitely one of the more insane handheld weapons. Although, I love the carrying "handle".
3
So very true. Nothing I collect is worth anything to anyone other than me.
3
Sand cuts meaning that they prevent sand buildup inside the mechanism?
3
I wonder if it'll hold up better this way or if it would've been better to leave it "stock".
3
@PapaSchultz74 Interesting. Guess I won't varnish my wood after all.
3
@PapaSchultz74 I'll have to give that a try. Dents annoy the crap out of me.
3
@Jimtheneals Yeah, it would be awesome. I really miss the channel that I used to watch. This machinist built from chunks of steel an entire gun. Thing of beauty.
3
It's because the left has been getting worse over the years, more brazen in their anti-human tendencies.
3
@tylerwilliams6022 I peruse the IMFDB just to look at all the guns period. I love how in-depth they get.
3
I've never seen a Skorpion with a wood stock before, it's beautiful, and great choice of wood.
3
Maybe this sounds dorky, but ever since playing the first Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 I've wanted a FAMAS. Well, that and a Nikita, and the infinite ammo bandana would be great given current prices. Of course I could just make one now days, but it wouldn't be the same.
3
Yeah, this is part of why I try to avoid all subscriptions that I can. In the future I'm just going to watch less and be more productive because all entertainment is getting too damn expensive and far too fragmented.
3
There are people that prefer rimfire? Why?
3
@Khrrck That's good, I would hope no one would shoot themself. 😜
3
Obviously the secret service case is the best of the three, but even it still had a flawed design. Would have been cool if they had a magazine holder that swiveled and locked into place, or possibly two, one on each side.
3
I feel like our design prowess has been pared down somewhat because of laws like the NFA and GCA. If only these unconstitutional laws could be repealed we could see some awesome designs moving forward. Although, Kel-Tec is probably the most innovative these days, for better or worse.
3
I hope your friend was joking because that sounds evil. Once an enemy is incapacitated, unless they're going to die anyway and it's for mercy, you don't shoot them again. Also, you might want to edit that again, it's dispatched, with an "i".
3
@kovona As long as they're fighting a tyrannical government, then that's cool. People here should take note since we'll have to fight a tyrannical government in a few years time.
2
@stipeercegovic8333 Indeed, crazy times, and war is the craziest. I wasn't criticizing though, just inquiring on what your supply of useful materials would be. If it weren't for YouTube censoring I could show you some things that would help for subsequent times, because there will be more wars in the future given how things are unfolding. If you can, I'd suggest looking up everything about from scratch manufacturing of guns that you can get your hands on and practice sooner rather than later.
2
Cool technology. Awesome gun. Definitely worth three upvotes. Just ignore the fact that it only counts as one.
2
@IamOutOfNames True, there are just too many idiots these days. It makes me sad.
2
@Poolboy001 I don't see why not. It's an unconstitutional law, it should be voided.
2
So if a Carcano is in good condition it's because the owner was Finnish'd with it?
2
@cabobs2000 My sister collected those. She kept saying, they'll be worth a whole bunch some day. That didn't end well.
2
@PapaSchultz74 Would be interesting to see this long term. I've heard that varnish/lacquer/resin coatings can discolor with time, but if it protects from dents and dings better and can be removed later, wouldn't that be a decent tradeoff?
2
@chuckschillingvideos Okay, and where did I say they did? Or are you disputing that a shaved Webley is still a Webley?
2
At this point I'm starting to wonder if some time traveler is responsible for all of these innovations. How did this exist so long ago?
2
That is totally nutter butters, and that I could see the welds so clearly more so. I can't imagine anyone actually using such a device, but after seeing FN's P90 magazines I can't imagine why anyone would design a top loading magazine any other way. It would've required custom grenade shells, but I think it's safe to say that it'd be safer.
2
@N0sf3r4tuR1s3n That would be nice if the NFA were nullified. Just the thought makes me kind of happy.
2
@Ni999 Haha, that's a great list. That is exactly what people do. Get rid of the NFA and I'd want one stock, but there would definitely be a market for all kinds of mods.
2
Any chance of getting to fire it?
2
@solwindp78-1 Excellent, I read every word and loved it.
2
@ittapupu7406 We most certainly do have rights, and guns are our method for reinforcing them. They protect all the other rights.
2
The only thing I'm curious about in all this is how do you get clips from Netflix productions to use as examples in your videos?
2
That is an interesting gun. I rather like the simplicity of design, though the forward grip is a bit awkward looking. Especially if you consider both its function and shape.
