  3. I understand. He was my Congressman before he was my Governor. I didn't want to lose him as my Congressman, but now I am glad I did! If you recall, he promised to serve only 2 terms as Congressman, because he believed in term limits. He could easily have changed his mind and have been reelected to Congress. But he didn't. He has said he is committed to serving as the Governor of Florida for the term he is running for, and if I believe anyone, I believe Ron DeSantis. I don't think he will run for President in 2024. And he would not be a good VP choice for Trump if Trump runs. Two white guys from Florida on the ticket? Trump would be far better off with someone like Kim Klacik or Elise Stephanik. I expect DeSantis to be re-elected Governor and run for President in 2028. He is term limited after his next term. He would be a GREAT US Attorney General after he finishes his 2nd term as Governor in 2026.

  17.  @jamie7664  It's not jealousy. It's a natural reaction to being FORCED to pay for someone else's commitment. People sign contracts agreeing to repay loans and then they don't...then the government confiscates money from the people who earned it and uses their money to pay for the loans someone else promised to pay. That is fundamentally unfair. I have nothing to be "jealous" about. I have a graduate degree and never incurred a penny in loans. I worked at the university hospital and received my tuition as a benefit of my full time job, and went to school at the same time. Then I received a full academic scholarship with a stipend for my masters degree. No loans, very little cash out of pocket. It was also done in violation of the US Constitution. The President cannot spend money not appropriated by Congress. Pelosi was right the first time. This cannot be done without legislation.

This also means that ANY OTHER laws which restrict the 2A...magazine bans, assault rifle bans, bump stock bans, "ghost gun" bans...must show that they do not violate the "text, history and tradition" of the 2A. The strictest scrutiny. Each and every other "gun law" is subject to being overturned. In means "Shall not be infringed" means what it says! This decision is going to kick the door in on gun control, period!

  27. If you read the indictment of Sussman, it pretty much lays out the case against (unnamed) others. The offense Sussman was indicted for has a 5 year statute of limitations and he was indicted 1 day before the statute ran on his offense. They indicted Sussman on this offense at this time because they had to. Obviously this is a strategically important indictment, even if it seems "trivial" Sussman could be indicted on other offenses and others could be indicted.

  28. The AR 15 is the unquestioned TOP CHOICE for competition shooting. There is virtually NO OTHER rifle used in many types of target competition. That said, I agree that they will not be banned. There WILL BE no bans of firearms. We MAY see the age raised to 21 to buy any gun (I oppose that, but it may happen) and we MAY, I hope, see the end of "gun free zones" in schools. ALL military rifles throughout our history have been popular for hunting and target shooting. The AR rifle has been our service rifle longer than any other rifle and it is more popular because of that. ALL military rifles are designed to kill, but from the Civil War on, military rifles have been the premier sporting rifles in the USA (and other countries, Canadians, Australians and the British love their Enfields. Austrians love their Mannlichers). Military grade weapons...like M1903 Springfields, 1898 Mausers, which form the basis of what this guy calls "sporting rifles".

  31. DeSantis has -0- experience saying he supports the 2nd Amendment and then banning bumpstocks and supporting red flag laws. DeSantis voted against Trump's proposed Red Flag law in Congress in 2018 and signed permitless concealed carry into law in Florida as Governor in 2023.

  42. Hillary is not "beyond reproach" but she IS "beyond statute". The statute of limitations for these federal crimes is 5 years. "This guy", as a former Federal Prosecutor, knows that. You don't. In fact, Michael Sussman and Oleg Derapaska were charged on the LAST DAY before the statute tolled on their crimes. There will be no criminal prosecution of Hillary because there can not be. Unless a prosecutor could prove, in court, beyond reasonable doubt, that her crimes were of the very few with longer statutes of limitations, there can be no prosecution. She can not even be charged. Coincidence? Not likely. But that doesn't matter. The penalty for Clinton, in this case, will be political, not criminal. Just as this informed and knowledgeable man said. Your lack of knowledge does not change the law. It only assures you will be disappointed because of unreasonable expectations.

  44. Student loan forgiveness is BLOCKED by litigation. Scratching it off the budget doesn't really give back any money or result in any "savings", but that's how Government tells you they are "doing something."
