  11. It is not "self-defense" if the person claiming a right of self-defense created the circumstances that led to his need to defend himself. It doesn't work that way. IOW, this will have to be sorted out in a real court, with witnesses under oath, and not before Judge Jeanine or Facebook.

The threat against Dore came when Dore denounced the smear. I agree this mud fest should end right now -- with Mate's lawyers writing a letter to TYT's bosses.

Jimmy then sprang to Aaron's defense, and denounced TYT. After that, Ana let Jimmy know she still had the apology note he wrote when he made a crass joke about her and humiliated her, and that she would go public with it if he didn't stop attacking TYT. Oops. That's when the gloves came off big time.

  29. I think Aaron should sue. This is an example of the mudfest that happens when people don't take proper steps. I cannot blame anyone for not wanting to sue, and Aaron is truly a gent, but . . . a calm, civilized letter from Aaron's attorneys to TYT's producers would have ended this nonsense. Everyone would weigh their words and actions going forward.

  30.  @rustynuggets  What behavior? What he already apologized for, in writing, seven years ago? He acknowledged in the apology that he was wrong, as he needed to. Ana was his boss. She could have disciplined him, or fired him. Instead, she and Cenk were imitating Howard Stern at the time, and themselves creating a hostile environment to women. The proof has been posted in many clips, all of which are repugnant. (BTW, Aaron has apologized to Jimmy for being the underlying reason this happened. Jimmy was obviously embarrassed, and surprised by the gesture. Aaron was the last person that TYT should attack.)

No one is ever obligated to accept an apology, but up until now it looked as though Ana did. This incident was only brought up after Ana smeared Aaron Mate. This mudfest is pure cover up for the real issue. The real issue is the video where they attacked Mate. It has since been taken down by TYT.

  33. I thought they were far too young. It's not age-appropriate for anyone but Mom to discuss this with a little girl who is barely pubescent, and her needs are for other information, not for being cautioned about this. If she needs information, she should feel free to ask her mother.

  47.  @pariah_carey  That's not what I meant. I meant, if you can show me ANY city that has been "burned down," even a small one, I'll agree that "cities are being burned down." But there are no such places. There have been a few buildings burned in a few places, and usually targetted because the owners called police for some small matter and it ended with police unjustifiably killing someone. This is not right, but it happens. I lived in France during waves of demonstrations, and they have been demonstrating since the fall of 2018. Over there, firefighters have stood between demonstrators and the police, to protect demonstrators. I have a more positive view of protest. It sure gets things done there. When I lived there, a kid got killed by police and the president of France paid his respects to the mother. One of the cops who did it cried so hard he had to be sedated and hospitalized for observation.

Some of the groups that have been demonstrating are disorganized and chaotic, and leave themselves open to false flag operations. CHAZ or CHOP or whatever the hell that was in Seattle is Exhibit A.
