Law almost always involves balancing interests, very much like in abortion. The vaccines are not nearly safe enough, nearly effective enough, nor necessary to stem an illness that is both highly contagious and highly lethal, to justify encroaching on LIBERTY. The Fourteenth Amendment also protects the right to marry whomever you choose, the right to have children and to parent them, to use birth control if you choose, or refuse it. So, which do you want to give up? More to the point, how do you propose to police pregnancy? You'll have to. Have bounty hunters, like Texas? An inquiry in cases of miscarriage? Manslaughter charges against a bar that unknowingly serves a pregnant woman, who then miscarries? And what do you do with the embryos created at fertility clinics? What happens if a pregnant woman attempts suicide? Incarcerate her? Capital punishment if she survives but the baby doesn't? What happens if someone carries RU 486 across state lines?

  17. ​@lordkuriki5475 ANY attorney can be sanctioned by the court for improperly bringing a case. That doesn't mean they can be held liable for malicious prosecution. Sanctions by the court are for the purpose of regulating the officers of the court. An AG who gets sanctioned can be fired, or, if they are elected, impeached, or they can be removed from the ballot or voted out. That doesn't mean they can be held liable, in a civil suit or a criminal prosecution. Those are two different things. LOOK IT UP.

  22. Multivariate analysis is needed to find out what contribution the vaccines made to the rise in the excess death rate -- hard, and expensive, and requires unbiased judgment. I have zero trust that it will be done. Hiding the truth when many bad things happened at once is not hard, sadly.

  29. I was able to find it, using obvious keywords, but the reporting is very limited. The obvious intent is to make people doubt the report. Look, it may not be accurate, but we can certainly say the same about CDC, FDA, NIH, and above all American/British MSM. I don't know how to hold MSM accountable any more. :(

  34.  @Slowbro01323  But there is no consensus on a number of issues: how long immunity lasts; how well transmission to others is prevented by vaccination; whether children under 16 should get it; whether young men under 25 (or under 30) should get two doses of mRNA vaccines; whether women under 50 should take Johnson & Johnson or Astra-Zeneca; whether the reported catastrophic illnesses following vaccination are purely coincidental or causally related to vaccination; whether those who recovered from COVID need just one dose, or need to be vaccinated at all. This is what the leading virologists disagree about. Sorry, love. This is still early in the pandemic.

  36. Just saw NYTimes updated its story on the extent of the dealings, and WSJ states that is what prompted his wife to act. I respect the lady for that. I knew what Gates was, I just saw a clip of Paul Allen's interview on 60 Minutes when his book came out (Gates tried to squeeze Allen out of Microsoft while Allen was undergoing radiation treatment for lymphoma), but even I am shocked. Poor kids, yeah. The youngest set to graduate from high school this year, I think. The kids are all cute.
