12:00 here's how that would REALLY hurt people, your local government and state workers don't make $17/hr for the most part, and if min-wage went up to that, then you'd have to pay them MORE, WAY more than that min wage, and where can that money only come from? MORE TAXES, because local and state gov can't print money, they have to take it from YOU.
So your water bill TRIPLES, your sewer bill triples, your electricity bill quadruples, your streets cost way more, your fees and licenses for dog and cat licenses go up, YOU GET LESS COPS and they have to write MORE TICKETS to make up that massive new cost difference just to break even at the service level they already provide, and no way you'd get quality workers at that low a wage, they could make more somewhere else.
As it is I know gov workers with a decade in service, with skills thousands of citizens count on every day for public health, that earn as much as a cashier at Target, because government wages via taxation can't rise as easily with inflation.

I got over my food addiction the same way I quit smoking two packs a day: laziness.
I'm a non-smoker, so why would I go to all the WORK to smoke? You have to go to the store, buy them, have money to do that, get home, open that shit, lighters, working lighters, ashtrays, go outside in the cold, that's a lot of work and I'm too lazy for that, so I just won't anymore.
Pizza and bagels, ugh, that's a lot more work, I'm already full on straight keto protein and fat, i'd have to struggle to eat that bad stuff, so I won't.
Have the mindset of why would I do all that work? Easier to just do the bare minimum.

@faizalf119 Yep, I was late 30s when Pewdiepie got into Minecraft, and that pulled me into it.
But once I slayed the Ender Dragon a few times, got all the stuff, did all the things, meh, I got busy and had to move on. Once I was farming tons of iron a day and going to bed and waking up to my infinite fishing rod glitch with a hundred chests full of loot, once I had sooooo much shit there was literally nothing to do with it all thus making everything sort of worthless, it was like what's the point, lol? Why add yet another story to this self-harvesting farm? Do I really need 10,000 more beets and carrots to feed 500 more pigs and cows?

The biggest advantage of the digital signage menu boards is ANIMATION. I think it's McDonald's menu boards inside that are always scrolling to different specials, stuff is swooping on screen, different choices are presenting, everything is grabbing your attention, I remember specifically looking at one and something went by too fast so I was waiting to see it again, and I realized whoa this is like a damn internet ad. It triggers that "Did I miss out on something, I have to see that again" feeling, despite already knowing EXACTLY what I wanted.
And yes most of the drive thrus around me DO flash up the order in front of you before they take your order, so it's almost like social proof, the guy in front of me got 26 sliders, maybe I should too...

Last 5K event I competed in, my time was 30 minutes. Average. I finished 3rd place overall, 3rd men's division. I was 40.
The first place woman was a 17 year old high school track athlete, her time was 43 minutes.
The fastest woman finished after every man.
To contrast all of that, when we finished the race, one of the staff's friends, a male college track athlete, started running the course.
His time was 17 minutes, he actually passed some of the women who started half an hour after he did.
The physical differences are quite striking.
Who was first place in the entire race, beating everyone, with a time of 29:50?
An 11 year old boy.

"how is he so good at defending himself?"
Because he's a good attorney that, critically in my opinion, spent the first 7 years of his legal career as a DEFENSE attorney before becoming a federal government attorney.
A big problem we have in our government is we have tons of attorneys that have never defended a client FROM the government trying to put them in a cage.
It's a mindset that has to be developed. It's a huge issue SCOTUS has, 9 of the best legal minds in the US, ZERO defense attorneys, EVERY Justice is a former PROSECUTOR, and when all you've ever done is prosecute, every problem looks like it needs to be prosecuted, whereas a defense attorney spends their time finding holes in the schemes government is trying to pull, not thinking of said schemes. The prosecution fails their case, meh, looks bad on my record. A defense attorney fails their case, a real actual human being they've gotten to know and probably care about has their life destroyed.
