Jerry Li because they can but also because thanks to having less technology and features there is less stuff that can go wrong hence far more reliable....and also because at its base price it's priced at 30k. Which is competitively priced similar to the Ford transit at 36k.......it's overpriced...but for the companies and airports that buy it it's pocket change and makes them a lot money in the long run. ....so they will sell them for a higher price because they know that the people and companies who buy them will use them as work veichles to make a lot of money.

  7. BIG ABD 1. You can get a warranty for them 2. If you take care of them then they won't break down on you and will be reliable 3. The level of luxury technology comfront, fun to drive feel, features, sound etc you get more than makes up for the cost of maintenance. If you can't afford the maintenance then you can't afford this car to begin with. But if you can afford it then it's an investment in something that will make you happy. And that by far outweighs the cost of owning it. Unlike a souless Japanese car. Sure it will be reliable but it will bore you out of your dam mind. To car enthusiasts a car is not just something that takes you from a to b. Its more than that. Its something that will put a smile on your face whether its looking at it or being behind the wheel of it or hearing the orgasmic sound it makes. So its a bargain in the respect that you are getting $150k of car for half the price. And if you wait longer you can get it even cheaper. So its a lot of car for the money and if you can have warranty or take care of it well and can afford to maintain it then it is indeed one hell of a bargain.

Vergina Simpson it's underpowered because it doesn't need much power.....just to get from, point a to b reliably ....and it lacks a lot of technology and features so that it's more reliable....with less technology less can go wrong,...hence more isn't a mini van. It's about ultimate reliability and utility in the context of a working van be it cargo....moving construction workers and air port transport.....it's meant to last long and take a lot of abuse. That's what the companies are paying for ....., which to the, is not only pocket change but an investment because the van will make them profit in the long run.

  10. D. B. Cooper depends on what you are buying the car for. I think m2 is more a drivers car and more fun to drive especially with that manual transmission... Whereas this Audi is more about being a great daily driver with some nice tech and sporty edge to it. Its like comparing two different meals that have different tastes and focuses but ultimately both taste equally great just in a different way.

  19. Hasty One better offroader than this sure but not a 6x6. You're right though its bought mainly for its presence on the road.. Hence the cool factor.... And it has the incredible offroad capability and luxury... So its a whole package. All be it an extremely expensive one. But it has a market and sells well so it does have a point. Would I buy it? Hell no. But it does have a point.

One has more offroad capabilities than the jeep could ever have. One has more presence right from the factory. One has leather seats and high build quality and craftsmanship and the other doesn't.

Can't get more unbiased than that, and that's just one of countless of stats that show that BMW are less reliable than Mercedes ...as consumer reports suggest It'd known very well that bne are much more expensive to repair them BMW and have much more expensive parts, BMW owners always complain about that see tons of evidence online.

  37. SFHoudini​ maybe you're right about the amg gt s but I still see why it's a better option than the sls. Beyond being cheaper, it has significantly better transmission, is more fun to drive, has much better handling and a much better interior as well, not to mention it's not a 6.3L gas guzzler yet does not completly compromise it's exhaust note and has a great sounding rumbling v8. And it's also worthy to note that the amg gt was never meant to replace the sls just as the sls was never meant to replace the slr nor that the clk gtr. Rather it is designed to compete with the 911 market as hiu hinted at (which makes good money). And it does compete and is more of a head turner than a 911. So amg gt is going to appeal more to someone looking for a 911 range kind of car (purchasing mentality/need). For these reasons people will buy an amg gt over a sls. That said you are also right in that someone might still want a sls for the doors and appreciation. But I don't think that will take away from the advantages of the amg gt s The amg gt r on the other hand I think is clearly a better option than any sls including the black series. I mentioned the black series because I want to illustrste how even tho the amg gt r is not meant to replace the sls bs it is better than it in every way even price wise. Otherwise I think you have a very valid argument indeed. The next amg to look out for is the amg project one 1000hp hyper car which will be an absolute monster.

Patrick Kennedy no they have updated it.... look at the 6x6, it's a monster. this is just the 4x4 version of it. hence it's a more offroad version of the g wagon so it is a significant difference. Please the new gt3 is hardly new, porshe have stuck with the EXACT SAME design and interior design, don't see people complaining there!?! They are timeless conservative designs, in this case it's more focused on the offroading capabilities as opposed to the just the looks

Keny J.​ You and I may see that as an absurd price which it is, but from Mercedes' perspective it's actually really smart because they know rich people who want to go offroading will buy it, especially Dubai and their sand dunes. So it's crazy yea, but almost in a good way depending on how you look at it
