I don't see how #1 qualifies as disturbing... It comes off more like Adam Sandler humor.

The Joker was "the most philosophical baddie on the list". That's what I took issue with.
46
I don't. I tend to think that if something causes life threatening diseases, it's best avoided altogether.
36
It wins you the 2016 US Presidential Election.
30
Why would atheists be butt-hurt by this video, exactly?
23
There are no "true" religions. This is the point they are making by inventing something utterly ridiculous and showing that no one can give a reason why any mainstream religion is any more plausible.
16
We have no better legal grounds to call this a joke than we do to call Christianity a joke. The constitution doesn't have a mechanism to distinguish between religions that people actually believe, and religions that're just fucking with us. Batshit demented ideas share a column under the law, whether they're sincere or not.
14
If God created men and women to be together, what did he create gay people to do?
7
Kaiser Bob Here's the thing, kid, Christianity and "Pastafarianism", are both just more stupid ideas, and your preferred stupid idea doesn't get special treatment under the law for either its age, or number of sycophants. You aren't making any real points here. This is just you trying to find different ways of saying what you want to say, and actually mean, which is, "Christians are different because we're right."
6
YunaBug I don't know why you're telling me this...
6
I'm sorry, what're you bloviating about?
5
The FSM is no less rooted in reality than your religion by any unbiased standard. This is the point here, and you seem to have had it fly straight over your head.
5
There is no logic in it. That's the point.
4
So if I go to New York and find that it's the exact same city as the one that Marvel Comics is talking about, does that mean that Spider-Man is real?
4
Incorrect. Your logic is that a boat was found where the Bible said it would be, therefore the Bible is true. This is exactly like finding that New York is exactly like Marvel Comics say it is, therefore the Spider-Man comic are true.
4
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. A Christmas Carol (1984)
4
Two points for you, my dear chap. 1: To view something as silly is not bigotry. 2: Hatred and intolerance are not the same thing.
3
Kaiser Bob For the third time, the law doesn't distinguish between "real" religions, and ones that aren't. Your preferred stupid idea doesn't outrank any other stupid ideas in the eyes of the law. This isn't difficult to grasp.
3
"The Ark". You mean the one that was built by a man who lived beyond eight hundred years on the instruction of the god of the Old Testament, housed a male and female of every species in existence, and survived a forty day global flood that eradicated every other living thing on the planet? Did it occur to you to ask how they know this?
3
"The Bible is true" is the claim that you aren't doing a great job of proving.
3
1. Something being written down does not prove that it's true. 2. There being a boat in a place that the Bible said there'd be a boat does not prove that the entire story told about a boat is true. Sorry. I have comprehended your point, and provided a cohesive rebuttal to it. You have ignored the rebuttal, and you've started hurling insults around like a child.
3
The Bible is an offensive book...
3
"There's nary an animal alive that can outrun a greased Scotsman." - Groundskeeper Willie.
3
LinkMEP I'm not talking about the members of the FSM church you've allegedly spoken with. You have accused someone on this thread of being bigoted simply for calling religion silly. I quote; "By saying that most reasonable people view religious people as being silly reveals you to be a bigot against religious people."
2
Gideon Um... Yeah, hi. This might be a little embarrassing, but, I wasn't talking to you.
2
The butt-hurt guy who knows he's wrong but can't admit it, and so instead tries to threaten other people into silence? Is that the guy you don't want to be?
2
That still doesn't demonstrate that the boat they found is the one that the Bible story talks about. Nothing you've said proves that the boat we have at any point held two of every species, or that it held the lone survivors of a global genocide. Also, just to be clear, "search it up" is not an argument. Finding something on the internet does not prove that it's true. That's a pretty valuable life lesson.
2
Did you not read my comment?
2
I know it doesn't. That's the point. It's the logic you are using, and it does not make sense.
2
1. A boat being on Mount Arat proves that the book was right about there being a boat on Mount Arat. Nothing else. 2. Motive for lying is irrelevant. Everything a book says being true, and the author being a liar are not the only two possibilities. That's called a false dichotomy.
2
Zachary Fillion, I'm not sure if you're actually talking to me or not. I don't see how your comment could be a coherent response to aything I've said.
2
Um... Craydoug, you are aware that people write fiction, right?
2
I did also. Not Cinderella, though. I thought that'd have something to do with adultery. "It's midnight... Goodbye!"
2
@miss.l.c.minister Do you ever get tired of trying to threaten people into agreeing with you?
2
@William Kotheimer It says that anyone who doesn't buy into it deserves to be burned alive. That's pretty tough to top, really.
2
Daniel McCauley I'm not hearing you rebut anything Dark Matter has actually said. Snakes don't talk. We can only bat at that "low hanging fruit" because you idiots provide it for us.
2
Not all atheists did become atheists. I more or less always have been. I wasn't born believing in any gods, and nothing any religion has done so far has made me start. Putting people's atheism down to fear is pretty condescending.
2
Who is stopping people from believing what they want?

What edge does Blue Eyes have over Slifer or Ra?
1
The argument has already been won. Comments like this are unnecessary.
1
LBM/YD Incorrect. As I said, there is no unbiased standard by which Christianity makes more sense, or any sense at all, for that matter.
1
LBM/YD Until you actually present a way in which Christianity is anymore reasonable that the FSM, I won't be acknowledging you as a participant of this debate.
1
LBM/YD I actually have read through each of your comments, and, no, you haven't. You've vaguely alluded to unnamed ways that other people are too "stupid" or "ignorant" to see, but that isn't you actually presenting ways. That's you transparently copping out of having to present them. I'm still waiting.
1
LBM/YD We have equal grounds to say that Christianity was created by man. You don't get to assume that Christianity was created by a god when trying to prove that Christianity is true. That's called a presupposition, and it's a textbook example of a logical fallacy.
1
LBM/YD I suspect this of being a troll after that comment... I didn't say it was Man - God - Universe. I said it's Universe - Man - God.
1
LBM/YD "God created the universe." Yeah, remember what I just said about those assumptions you're making?
1
LBM/YD Argument from ignorance fallacy.
1
LBM/YD Yeah, no. If we don't know enough about something to draw a conclusion, the answer is "we don't know". The answer is not "let's assume God done did it." You need to read a little more about the burden of proof, and, come to think of it, debate and philosophy in general. You've called other people "too uneducated to have this discussion", and then made logical errors that anyone with an elementary understanding of debate would be above making. You aren't an authority on who is adequately educated to be partaking in this discussion. You're an intellectual kindergartner.
