  45. ย @laur131306ย  the problem is, we all sell our labor for a wage. And that's ironically why some leftists are opposed to the ban or shaming or sx work. It is ironic though considering that socialism in particular is all about ending that exploitive relationship between laborer and owner. There is term for this btw, commodity fetishism. When people view themselves and others as nothing more than goods and utilities who's value is derived from their ability to sell themselves, their labor, their talents etc. We are reduced to commodities no different than the products made in a factory and discarded no different than a frozen meal when we are no longer of use value. Marx himself was vehemently opposed to sx work and found it degrading and yet another way to destroy the human value individuals, in this case wmen, have. Men who are low income for instance and who can't afford their education, don't have the ability to sell photos of themselves online for people to get off to. Womn don't need to pay for something they can get for free whenever they want. Men on the other hand are typically only seen by womn as valuable to them or worthy as a boyfriend/husband when they are of a certain status and have a certain level of resource security. Hypergamy is real thing. And when this occurs at a large scale, polygamy becomes increasingly popular, where a few men have all the gurls cause they have all the benefits from Capitalism; resources, affluence, influence, status etc. The remaining guys are left alone and neglected of affection leading to a masculinity crisis and an increase in violent crime. Men who don't have stable relationships are 10 times for likely to take risky behaviors and act out impulsively. We need a better economic model that ensures at minimum, a basic safety net is provided and at most, private property is abolished and owned socially. Before anyone gets confused, this does not mean your toothbrush, car, house, kitchen utensils, tv, computer or any personal items you use for daily life. Private property refers to property used in the production process, factories, land, machines, etc. You own your phone but those who made the phone or work at the factory that made your phone do not have any right or ownership over the production of that phone and all the others like it. That the difference. I'm an old school labor boy. Unions, universal healthcare, paid family leave, decommodification of the housing market... That's what I stand for. It liberates people from being owned and dependent on private Capitalists. Landlords, primarily rhe big ones on talking about, make their wealth via passive income extractions via rent. They don't produce anything. They make money off the producers who are forced to pay these people money to remain sheltered. We end that, less men would be lonely and more couples would come together. This is on top of culturally shunning behaviors that are deemed dysfunctional, exploitive or objectifying.
