  22. Socialist here, the reason conservative media outlets are the main ones talking about cancel culture is because they want to be seen as martyrs. They want to show everyone that it is they who are the oppressed and members of the counter culture despite their hatred for counter culture. The Left/liberal progressive wing on the other hand doesn't tall about it much because they downplay the severity of cancel culture and focus on "more important" issues like being having a roof over their head, a steady well paying job and healthcare that doesn't make them lose that house when they receive the bill. My main anger towards modern day liberals and Leftists is that the liberals only care about cultural issues and will only work on those subjects for symbolic purposes. But when it comes to economic issues they spit out the same capitalist free market BS that protects their bottom line while the Leftists often deny that they have become the very thing they hate; religious fanatics who despise difference of beliefs and science. I'm a Leftist because I fight for workers, disabled people and the family not the corporate overlords, bankers and elitist media. I want people to be free and not beholden to some private master who offers out slave wages. I want people to have their basic human rights met and it's the governments job to ensure that, otherwise the government should not exist. But do I think there are 76 genders? No. Do I think we should label it hate speech for saying so? No. Do I want citizens to be pushed to the back of the line while illegal immigrants are given our resources? No. But I'm still a socialist because capitalism is the big reason these companies are so quick to censor people. It hurts revenue? Oh well, guess we gotta ban em or demonetize em.
