@GodIsInHisHeaven I went to a midnight showing of the second one the day after it came out. The third I waited for Blockbuster.

@JohnWick-rh1zz Doesn't matter. Just keep turning the handle and produce content.
2
You misspelled "Palpatine Saga".
1
I don't like Bran as the night king but the white walkers were definitely meant to make it to King's landing. There was also some stuff about the lightbringer that I believe was supposed to be make more of a showing.
1
The Bill Murray thing seems like trying to repeat the Jeff Goldblum thing from Ragnarok (which I actually kinda enjoyed). Yet more unimaginative dross.
1
He was in Legion too and played his part well there.
1
Captain Morgan might have been more apropos.
1
It's a movie that actually benefits a bit from the 3D too.
1
I honestly get the feeling that she's not that smart and is just repeating talking points she's been told by the people who created this apparent travesty.
1
Well, it seems like many young adults these days think civil rights reform never happened so I can kinda roll with it.
1
To be fair, I read a lot of older sci-fi and they often get future context horribly wrong. Often that's just the technology because they just didn't see what the possibilities are and sometimes that's social context too. Though things could revert to a more male dominated culture (particularly as mankind moves throughout the planets and especially in a more rugged culture like that of the Fremen), this wasn't really jarring and could have been a lot worse.

The white stuff on dog turds was from ash which they used to put in the food. They don't anymore so you don't see it anymore.
1
A return to old villains... who were a bit shit to begin with.
1
It has to be a thing where they lose the rights if they don't put a movie out every so often.
1
The main issue I had with Falling Down is that it was presented in the trailers as a comedy and I sat down to watch it in a comedy frame of mind and it heavily disappointed. I'll have to give it another watch sometime but don't feel too compelled to do so.
1
I must not have been paying attention because I still thought it was Bain escaped from the prison until I saw this video just now. Or did I just forget?
1
@LTNetjak How much poop do you have to smush between your fingers before you realize you won't find any diamond there?
1
Hollywood always overdoes things. Someone clever does something shocking and exciting and suddenly it's everywhere and it takes someone clever to break the mold again. This is the same thing behind the "strong female protagonist" stuff going on (though there may be some agenda going on there too).
1
I don't care what you haters say, I think Doctor WTF is great!

"I bent my Wookie" - Rey

Now we know why Ellen moved to the UK.
1
Harley Quinn is a sidekick character. They are always going to be harder to promote to center stage, especially in a compressed format like a movie. (Though a Joker-like movie for her could be interesting given her back story). The whole point is that she is pretty much defined by her presence around The Joker, even as much as she's generated her own following. There are many other female characters they could have led with if they actually had an eye for a story.
1
Sorry Drinker, love your work but still not watching it (hypothetically).
1
Makes me think we need a Xena reboot.
1
@forgottenrights351 Wasn't really my cup of tea but popular at the time.
1
I think the being annoyed at the YouTubers thing might just be because we are getting old considering that similar cameos have long been a thing in movies. It's just they used to be people we were familiar with so it seemed cool.
1
I found it a bit plodding. Not awful though.
1
@Kvltklassik Don't take it personally. Liking comments drives engagement and feeds the algorithm.
1
Well, remember when a certain movie ended with Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Luke missing a hand and the rebellion on its back foot? As long as the next movie gets made and is good, I think history will look kindly on the way this one ended.
1
This terminator could attack at any moment. We have to deal with it.
1
That was before a bunch of underperforming movies.
1
I'm beginning to think this is a coordinated attack on our culture.

In a world Of substandard gravy One man is going to make a stand Ben Hawkey is Hot Pie

Viewed as nothing to do with Watchmen, I thought the 1st episode was weak but had potential. But they're rapidly losing me.
1
He is the king of all the land in the kingdom of the sands, of an time, tomorrow.
1
Unfortunately, the trailer bears some resemblance to TFA trailer. Let's hope that's not an omen.
1
I always thought the original was overrated. Basically a revenge fantasy with nice visuals made in the brief pause before goth descended into emo. But even trying to remake that in todays climate is doomed to complete failure.
1
@michaeldavid6832 Yes. It has some novelty value but when it's not a novelty anymore, there's no value in it.
1
Skarsgard was great in Hemlock Grove so he definitely has it in him. A shame that series went off the rails in the end. The curse of Netflix, I guess.
1
It's the rise of studio endorsed fan fiction.
1
Is that Ryan George at 4:14
1
Haha. You said 'unrinalysis'.
1
"Hey, the games became hugely popular and loved because they respected the lore and characters. Let's not do that."
1
7 weeks? Still time enough for a diss song video...
1
@kalashnikovdevil I think lefty possibly more in terms of being anti-war. Which, sure, is not necessarily a left-only position.
1
This sounds like it's Home Alone 5, right? Kevin Rambo vs the Mex Bandits.
1
@corning1 Nah. His brand is being acerbic. He did pull punches on this one but it's first efforts so going full-on would be a bit mean-spirited vs going against huge empires coasting on past glories. Even with that though...
1
I believe it's Bolivian marching powder.
1
OK, I was ready to give this movie a fair shake but 2:00 into this review and that's it. Screw em.
1
"Modern" Hollywood executive? It's been that way for a long time. Just the form changes.
