For example, the commemorative plaque in Rotterdam harbour claims that 32,000 Dutch people died during the German bombing raid during WW II. Wikipedia writes that 800 or 900 people died during that unfortunate raid. Wiki is quite unreliable when it comes to controversial topics, but a factor of 40X error? I make it a point to look for such inconsistencies when it comes to WW I & II; drives people such as yourself to insanity.

Since the French had invaded German territory 40 times over the previous 400 years, Germany needed to rearm for that threat alone. Poland was a separate issue and it would behoove you do a little reading on that.

  33.  @nagmashot  Believe it or not, bombed railway tracks are repaired very quickly. My mother's city Hamm had the marshalling yards bombed one night; it was operational again 2 or 3 DAYS later. Bridges were a different problem.

  47. The misery was caused by the allies. The NSDAP managed to create an economic system that starved the international bankers from their profits. Churchill complained about this and said that war was necessary to stop this competing economic system.

Under the NSDAP government everybody had a job by 1936, enough food for all, good housing became available, and travel. The Autobahn was under construction to be enjoyed with the new Volkswagen that was in the final planning stage. The standard of living in Germany was arguably the highest among the industrialized nations; the capitalist countries, especially the USA, was still mired in the Great Recession. Over 1 million Europeans, from all countries, volunteered to fight in the Waffen SS, the most formidable fighting units ever assembled, to prevent the murderous communist USSR from invading Europe. What did your country do to stop the advance of communism???
