Here price cuts have stopped and builders are only offering upgrades or incentives without bringing the price down and most ppl are going for 5/1 ARM or 7/1 ARM or seller financing with rates at 4.5% for 1st year 5% at second year like that.. they are definitely hoping for house prices to stay elevated and thinking they can refinance. Here an average 500k house will be 5k in monthly mortgage cause taxes are so high. And 500k will be in far flung areas with cookie cutter houses. I am so done and have half a mind to move out of here

  11. I have friends who are moving from paying 3000$ in rent to 6500$ for a 3000 sft home. I don’t know what’s wrong with ppl🙄. They are buying saying prices will only go up and never decrease and they better buy now else they will never be able to buy.

  13. You cannot refinance if your home value down. You will be paying this high interest rate on an over valued home your entire life. And if you need to sell you will incur a loss. It will take more than 5 years to see any appreciation if you bought at the top of the bubble. Stop conning ppl

  14.  @realestatemindset  July was such a trap. It’s almost criminal on their part. I really feel bad for those ppl. They had the worst deal. Peak prices and high interest rates. Atleast ppl who bought till 2021 will be fairly ok. Ppl who bought in 2022 will have a blood bath

That sucked more ppl who still had FOMO in. It’s good cos now genuinely there are no more ppl left or some very smart ppl like us. This market will crash violently as they are making it more and more worse by delaying it

  17. Nope they are being called back to California in person to work. Things are shifting. They have to either settle for lower paying jobs or move to California if they want to keep those high salaries

  18. Agreee.. I know of ppl who moved here to texas with their Bay Area salaries and drove home prices to one million which used to sell for 4-500k before the pandemic. How are local salaries supposed to compete

I have quite a few friends. I did discourage a couple of them who were close to me. They didn’t listen. Under water with their earnest money 😖. Hope they walk away

  30.  @aegonlifeafter6179  my friends company shut 3 offices overnight. They told her she has time till end of this month. She bought a house 2 months back in January. They laid off 70% workforce overnight. They didn’t let anyone know anything was wrong. These dominos will fall one after the other. Economy is in very dire shape

They definitely know something that we have been merely wishing. Last quarter of 2022 will be critical to watch. Job market is the only hope but if layoffs increase no one can buy even with price cuts 🤷‍♀️
